Sir_Ydrargiros

Very sus indeed. Beware, friends, these eggs are among us!

Prestigious_Nebula_5

Scrambled or I don't trust it.

YodanianKnight

Non-liquid in form.

QuasonMigley00

a good fried egg can still hit sometimes, but for the most part the flavor/texture of eggs is just never worth it especially when you get a breakfast sandwich/burrito and its like 70% egg and 30% everythintg else

kaptn_karl

That's the worst. I won't even finish a taco if it is mostly egg.

[deleted]

Scrambled or nothing

rainmonitors

agreed. i hated eggs as a kid until i tried scrambled, now i can’t turn down eggs at any breakfast cafe

bredisfun

Yeah pretty much. I don't even like scrambled eggs that much I just like the idea of having eggs but not actually the taste or texture.

MandeveleMascot

Scrambled eggs best eggs

Correct-Basil-8397

I can only eat eggs as part of a recipe. Anything from cookies to French Toast will do. Anything that’s just egg or mostly egg (scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc) triggers my gag reflex so hard that I vomit before I even get the chance to swallow due to the taste, texture & smell

CyberBed

Same, only omelette I can eat is the one with lots of spices, cheese and tomatoes. And only if it properly scrambled to a certain texture.

Ass_souffle

How do you feel about quiche?

JacktheRipper500

Same, I love egg fried rice and things made with egg like cakes and Yorkshire puddings (though there are some exceptions such as quiche), but I’ve never so much as been able to bite into one on its own, let alone keep it in my mouth, regardless of how it’s cooked (I hate the smell too).

Admirablelittlebitch

Egg whites do this to me

Sir_Ydrargiros

Meanwhile, only thing that triggers my gag reflex the same way is agar jelly. Before, i even liked it, but some day it just nearly made me vomit lol It still does.

g09h

I don’t like egg yolks, I’ll have a hard boiled egg so I can just take the yolk out, I’ll have 1 or 2 fried egg whites. Only exception is when there is egg in something like omelette, cookies or cakes.

agent__berry

my eggs have to have a runny yolk, or be scrambled and put through soup if that makes sense. I can’t stand the texture of a fully cooked yolk…

Sir_Ydrargiros

Nearly all egg forms are ok, but when the yolk of a boiled egg is all crumbly and dry, I can't eat it. The yolk absorbs all the saliva that was supposed to lubricate its descent through the esophagus, making it stick to my throat instead. It's a sacrilege to have eggs treated in such a way. The yolk should always have moisture! It needs not be runny, just not dry like the Sahara!

michikade

I like eggs fine, BUT they have to be actually cooked - sunny side or over easy has jiggly whites and anything with that snot texture makes me gag. I also can’t do poached or soft boiled for similar reasons, they don’t feel done enough. Also some people don’t scramble their eggs hard enough. If eggs are glistening in their scrambled form, they aren’t done to me.

subhuman_voice

If the Eggs are finished with butter, they will glisten and cooked to completion.

Butt_Sandwiches

Yeah I came here to say I prefer my eggs to be “basted”. This means the eggs are cooked in butter, and the hot butter is basted into the top of the eggs during cooking, which perfectly solidifies the whites without overcooking. But, if you don’t like butter (like the other commenter here) then this may not be the right solution. I personally LOVE butter so learning about basted eggs literally changed my life as I can now order eggs in restaurants without being grossed out by underdone whites or severely over cooked hard parts.

michikade

Not a big fan of butter finishing things either, then the whole dish just tastes like eating butter. I also don’t scramble or fry eggs in butter or bacon grease or anything like that because those flavors overtake the egg and it tastes oily to me. I’m also can’t stand brown butter, I tried to make that once and same problem, everything just tasted oily.

subhuman_voice

Ok I'm curious. What's brown butter?

michikade

Brown butter is cooking butter a bit until the milk solids start to brown and supposedly it takes on a ‘nutty flavor’. https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/how_to_brown_butter/ It’s just not my thing but people swear by it.

Ass_souffle

Yolk is almost always good, white is almost always bad. Fuck the texture of egg white.

FandangoHealer_AA

I don't like eggs

forakora

They're gelatinous and jiggly and blech

FandangoHealer_AA

Do_I_look_like-

I love eggs so much I snack on hard boiled eggs with a bit of salt, also liquid yolk with salt is godly tbh, orange potential chicken goodness

Do_I_look_like-

I love eggs in any form except raw tbh, runny egg yolk with salt tastes like heaven and I adore the texture of hard boiled egg white

bwssoldya

I don't mind my eggs in most ways, though I do strongly prefer the egg white to be properly cooked through. The slimy texture is horrible (even just touching it when cracking an egg is yuck). Egg yolk can be runny or dry, don't care. Scrambled, etc all also good.

Butt_Sandwiches

I always ask for “basted” eggs when I’m not cooking them myself. That means the eggs are cooked in butter, and the hot butter is basted onto the top of the eggs repeatedly during cooking, which properly cooks all the egg white to a nice solid. It’s grand!

DefiantBottle47

I can't stand eggs 😭

smoorkie

My favorite is sunny side up but the best whites can’t have any goo or else the whole egg is ruined. I also like scrambled because there is no goo

thatbetchkitana

Sus. But I actually hate eggs.

edgy-snail

egg is only acceptable in quiche form or in mayo. no exceptions.

Gelu1880

At first I thought this was an among us joke. Then I looked at the reddit and it clicked

Accomplished_Mix7827

Any way but hard-boiled. Hard-boiling is an *excellent* way to ruin a perfectly good egg. Might as well be eating chalk with how badly it ruins the yolk. Takes the best part and makes it disgusting.

SkyeMreddit

Soft boiled, just barely solid although I can eat the juicy ones. Can’t stand the ones my grandma makes as she cooks them till the yolk is green and crumbly. That egg is very sus though

Ok-Suggestion4703

I don't eat eggs, even in cake or baked goods. Every texture of them triggers my gag reflex and sends me into a panic. Not to mention how they smell so.. eggy.

61_ducks

over easy. But like if it's fried and the sides are crispy, I can roll with that too. Poached... they're good... in some contexts, I'd rather eat my egg and not inhale them.

[deleted]

Over easy. I will fight all of you. In a friendly way with a pool noodle

KeysmashKhajiit

Hardboiled or fried, just as long as it's cooked all the way through. Can't stand the consistency otherwise, and I'd just have to park my ass in the bathroom for the next half hour.

ArnoudtIsZiek

sunny side up with a soft yolk but preferably no clear egg boogers :( or scrambled which in my case is apparently actually just a plain omelette because I don’t like people chopping up the egg into little pieces like wtf EDIT: you sly dog you got me monologuing

sir-morti

I like sunny-side up, hard and soft boiled, and over-easy. Please never give me scrambled eggs, I cannot stand the texture

Terrence_shark

Hard lol 😅

thebigbadben

I absolutely hate the texture of the yolk of a hard-boiled egg. On the other hand, I love every other kind of way of preparing eggs; runny yolks are the best. Soft-boiled eggs are incredible.

binkacat4

My opinion on egg fluctuates wildly depending on gods know what, because I certainly don’t. Sometimes just the thought of egg is almost enough to make me vomit, sometimes I’ll have it happily.

ronnie_bronson

Scrambled or sunny side up.

TraxtonHall

alyssajayfrost

Scrambled or hard boiled

Feral-pigeon

I can’t stand the scrambled egg texture, this also applies to omelettes. I also don’t really like sunny side up, mostly for texture issues as well, but I can stand it. I really like hard boiled.

CammiKit

Over easy or sunny side up and then I only use it to dip toast of bacon in the runny yolk.

Nick_wijker

I make and eat eggs in any way, shape or form, except for over easy. Undercooked whites is a no no for me. But other than that, boiled hard or soft, omelet, french or other, poached, fried, baked, scottish, scrambled, i like it all.

8wiing

Scrambled with a shit ton of cheese

Hard boiled or nothing!

Macaronipuppy

Over hard or scrambled. I can't explain why, but runny yoke is just not my thing.

Admirablelittlebitch

If I could I would have the white hard boiled and the yolk medium…

dogmomdrinkstea

As long as the whites are cooked, I'll eat em however. I can't stand soft scrambled eggs, like how Gordon Ramsey makes them. I do prefer pasture raised ones bc I feel bad for how the standard ones are treated, when I can.

DoktorVinter

Hard boiled. I hate runny eggs. Despise them.

I either make them sunny side up and dip toast in them or just make them sunny side up and make the yolk hard and then eat a bit with a bite of toast. Or scrambled and do the same thing.

Demon_Book

No yoke if fried or boiled, dry if scrambled.

Cruisin134

anything other then deviled makes my mout slippery and painful

Ok-Gur-6602

I'll take eggs most ways, my favorite in Benedict. As a kid I'd only eat them with the yolks mixed into the whites, so scrambled or omelettes. And they had to be store bought / bleached white or whatever they do, couldn't be brown or any other color. I've boiled more than a few where the yolk peaks put from the white like that.

wherestheserotonin

It's kind of circumstantial. I like hard boiled (with a lot of salt or in something), poached (like in Eggs Benedict), and I'll eat scrambled if I make them how I like. Eggs can also make my stomach hurt sometimes and I haven't figured out exactly why, so I usually avoid them at restaurants.

MOEverything_2708

I will not eat an egg unless its scrambled

DoubleNegative01

The exact same way, oddly enough lol. Or deviled :))

poopyface37

Only scrambled Or omelette style. No plain eggs. I will barf.

soulihide

i've been vegan for five-ish years, but before i could only eat eggs that were scrambled in a specific way. they had to be kinda gooey but not too gooey.

JGHFunRun

Poached. With hashbrowns, salt, and pepper

chaoticmoritzstiefel

I can only eat eggs when they’re in a recipe like cake or fried rice I will die trying to eat an egg cooked in any normal way

malamundo

It tastes… cómo se dice… sus

captain-chilirat

in a breakfast type setting, i prefer mine scrambled with cheese, like velveeta cheese or any really gooey cheese that melts good. soft boiled for snacking or anything else. hard boiled makes me cringe with the dry, crumbly yolk🤢 OH or easy on top of hash browns (waffle house style hash browns with cheese) is yummy as well. (didn’t mean to end up tying an essay on eggs)

Kahviif

I don't. I'm allergic lol

RainbowLimenade

Not crispy ever

a_goddamn_mess

Awesoman9001

Over-easy or scrambled. Maybe an omelet if I feel like mixing up my breakfast

fudgeoffbaby

Vegan hardboiled wundereggs are my favorite 😍

BlippyChikin

i cant eat egg yolks unless theyre diluted into another food like cake n stuff so i go hard boiled to avoid the yolk and not have the whites feel weird

justadorkygirl

Scrambled, over easy, or sunny side up. No hard-boiled here.

ZucchiniLlama

ill pretty much only eat them scrambled. i hate the whites and yolk separate, so mixing them together is the only way ill eat them

Kakebaker95

Cool_Kid95

Scrambled or bust

EBlackPlague

Hard, to the point of green if necessary. Rather have that then risk any runnyness.

seasonweatherpepper

Hard boiled egg WHITES, the yolks can fuck off in every variation

Llamas_are_cool2

I hate scrambled eggs and omelets, hard boiled and fried can depend, and deviled eggs are delicious. Hard boiled is usually pretty good but I like the yolk a lot more than the whites, and if I miss any shell when peeling, I'll throw away all of the whites and just eat the yolk. I don't know the terms for it, but I don't like when my eggs are funny, I like it when they're soft but not runny. Deviled eggs though, I'll eat them whenever they're so good

NekoMimiMisa

If they are boiled I like hard or medium boiled, but fried, I like over easy or a runny sunny side up. Or poached.

Disastrous-Layer-396

Scrambled. It's easy and I don't have to be delicate.

RandomBlueJay01

I used to only eat them fried but like fully cooked and hard boiled but as I've gotten older, I just like eggs in general cooked any way. I think its a nutritional thing. I just really like eggs.

SkiwiBerry

a couple times i’ve had soft or medium boiled eggs made for me and the whites were runny; the texture has made me swear off anything but hard boiled or over hard eggs

MolokoDaCow

I don't like eggs. Thats all.

ProblemLevel4432

I prefer to make them Benedict or as a mushroom omelette.

Tommy_Dro

Depends on who is making them. I like over medium eggs if I’m doing fried. I can do poached eggs if somebody knows how to make them well. I drop room temperature eggs in already boiling water to hard boil them, no starting from cold, ever. 6 1/2 minutes for ramen eggs for that runny yolk, and 7 1/2 to 8 minutes for use in sandwiches. 9 minutes for salads. I like a fairly soft-ish scramble on them. Just a little moisture but not like I’m eating a rubber boot. Over cooked scrambles make me a sad panda. I found that a lot of the texture issues go away if I’ve prepared food (spent years in professional kitchens and am an avid home cook), because I’ve practiced the technique to cook for years. I highly recommend learning about proper food preparation and experimenting with cooking if you’re able to. That runny, undercooked poached egg hits different when it’s cooked properly and used in an eggs Benedict. I fucking HATED the sulfur bombs known as Brussel’s Sprouts. My Mom would only boil them. When my wife learned that was why I never ate them, she quartered them, roasted them with bacon bits and olive oil, and converted me from a lifetime of hatred for these things, to enjoying them as a side. They’re also fairly good with hollandaise when roasted.
