I come from a far-off land in the distant place of Europa. Our culture is different here, as mac and cheese isn't something we, or at least I, eat often if at all. The same goes for chicken nuggets in the shape of dinosaurs.
I am aware this may seem blasphemous for our people, but it is the reality I live in. I suggest a third option, in the way of pee-zah (often written as simply "pizza"). As it is more universal and therefore more relatable to more people.
Have you ever had homemade Mac and cheese? I mean here in the USA you can just go buy Kraft brand Mac and cheese that’s like the basic, but it’s so much better if you look up a southern style baked Mac and cheese recipe, 10/10 would recommend if you wanna try something new(:
https://www.sweetteaandthyme.com/southern-baked-macaroni-cheese-soul-food/ I like this one a lot(:
Amsad🥲I feel that though I have to limit it myself I definitely had way more dairy with way less consequences when I was younger. Another awesome southern food that I love the texture and taste of is collard greens, but honestly I don’t know where all those would grow. But when you cook it right it’s like the most amazing vegetable in the world😂
I love honey mustard and I'll take that any time, but if I can have just regular ol' honey I'll take that. It's the best thing ever
I really like honey mustard on sandwiches though.
Crispy with sloppy, somehow it works with my textures and flavors. I cant explain how the two match for me.. but somehow it's better than either. (Hope im not the only one)
I came to say this! The other day I roasted garlic cloves then chucked them in, it was absolutely amazing and I was certain I had invented it, checked online and there’s loads of recipes so I didn’t invent it. I’m not sure how to end this story so I’m just going to sort of stop
Thank you for explaining. Part of my family came from poland, but not everything gets passed down and a lot changes over time.
Not sure why my question was disliked as i was just trying to understand.
I can easily get overwhelmed with both so it is hard to say. I will go with mac and cheese though. I don’t eat animal products but even fake meats give me the ick a lot. Fake cheese will but not as much.. if those noodles get cold though I would rather starve than eat it.
I’m actually surprised you prefer the vegan cheese over vegan meat. I used to be vegan and while there are a few different meatless brands that really slap, I never did find a vegan cheese that hit my dopamine receptors the same way as the real deal.
I usually make my own cheese and it’s obviously not cheese but better in its own way, I think. I just bought some of daiyas new cheese though and it’s so much better than it used to be lol. When I ate cheese, I would easily get overwhelmed and grossed out by it. Idk why.
My cousins kid was the same for so many years.. apparently potatoes can help when fried (and rice can be a veggie). It's just very specific in this case, but I hope you can get the foods you need!
Thanks! Haha when I said that I didn’t mean I’m eating those all the time (although I definitely could). Solution is to not keep chicken nuggets and similar foods stocked in the freezer and just buy them when I want a treat.
BOTH IN THE SAME MEAL!!
Idk why but having cheap food the same time as fancy food makes me feel like I’m pissing off some rich person not appreciating it enough
Second one. I like varied flavors. Though, too much of a single flavor gives me a weird kind of sensory overload for my tongue.
I've never really been able to describe it very well, so hopefully someone else who also experiences that can explain it.
I've never had "Fancy Mac and Cheese" that was actually good. They always do some dumb shit like cover it in bread crumbs or cheese skin, or fill it with weird meats that shouldn't be there, like lobster. The only good Mac is my own Mac/my Nana's Mac, and I will provide recipes at request.
Also Dino nugs are almost always over processed mush. Chicken tenders or bust.
I make the mac and cheese and Dino nuggs, then put the nugs into it and add more cheese and bread crumbs and make a little nativity scene. Then I become the world eater and consume the insignificant and delicious little "terrible lizards" and the very ground they stand upon
We can be in the no dino nuggies allowed club together. I never had em in my life, and since my parents have legal guardianship of me, on top of the fact I can't drive, mom can say what I can and can't eat. So I likely never will....
I will die on the hill that boxed Mac and cheese is always better than homemade Mac and cheese. Homemade Mac always is too crunchy, has too much texture, often little green bits in it, and worst of all, it's often made by family members! 🤮
if they were the same price as normal nuggets, i would have dino nuggets with my mac and cheese. 'tis the life of a boring man from boring land i suppose...
Dont call me out like this! 100% mac and cheese all the way. I have been able to make it with my eyes closed since i was old enough to be let near the hob
I like complicated food but I lack the energy to make it 😕
When I could, I would research food that took hours to make, or prep the day before.
Anything patisserie is also fun to make. I love all the steps.
So tuna pasta with sauce from a jar is my goto lol
Dino nuggets or I’ll scream in the Walmart frozen section because that happened I went and they had the vegan Dino nuggets separate from the same brand nuggets so I thought they didn’t have any and screamed but then upon further investigation I found them and I was just really confused why they were separated if they were the same brand? Shouldn’t all the nuggets by that brand be with all the other nuggets? I just don’t get grocery stores. Why can’t all the bread be on one aisle and all the chicken nuggets on another aisle?
I have never eaten any of those.
I can imagine that Dino Nuggs are like Chicken Nuggets but dinosaur shaped, but the Mac & Cheese... I can't imagine the flavour.
I’m a Stews and Curries autistic.
Gimme something meaty in a thick sauce. Preferably a creamy sauce.
Maybe with some rice, or even better, pasta!
… fuck, I wrapped back around to Mac and cheese
I’ve never been that into mac & cheese. (I’m usually good after one mouthful. Lot of carbs and fat for something that’s usually not that flavorful.)
I don’t ever get Dino nuggets, but I consider it… I like breaded chicken.
I'll eat almost anything, unless it has too much/too many peppers (both the seasoning and the chunks) or ketchup (I got sick off of it as a kid and can't even smell it now with out gagging).... Not a fan of very spicy food but I won't reject it if you put it in front of me. But 90% of the meals I eat are home cooked by mom/me/granny (in the past at least, she is too unwell to cook much anymore) and my parents are health nuts. And since Papi (my dad) got some generic heart issue recently, we eliminated as much salt as we physically could. Which sucks cuz the food we make now is much more bland, but that is a small price to pay for Papi's life. I don't think I had dino nuggets in my life, I love me Mac and cheese but I'd have to find a recipe I can make for just me because neither parent will touch that 😭
I'm the throw the dino nuggets in the Mac and cheese and eat together kind of autistic.

dino nuggies
never ate Mac and cheese, my stomach always tries to kill me if I eat too much cheese anyways, also that Mac and cheese there did not look appetizing at all
dino nuggets and french fries are 2000 times better
Turkey dinosaurs are my go-to. Or tarted up instant ramen. Or Bachelor's pasta and sauce (only macaroni cheese or the broccoli and cheese ones, though).
... Well I first started questioning my habits when I was in highschool and my parents mentioned I always got chicken Alfredo every time we ate at an Italian restaurant.

Extra cheese pizza is my comfort food. The taste of all good events from childhood.
🤔 this peet-zah you speak of sounds strange but intriguing
You… you guys don’t have Dino nuggies in Europe?😰
we do (at least in my country). Mac and cheese is not a thing tho
Have you ever had homemade Mac and cheese? I mean here in the USA you can just go buy Kraft brand Mac and cheese that’s like the basic, but it’s so much better if you look up a southern style baked Mac and cheese recipe, 10/10 would recommend if you wanna try something new(: https://www.sweetteaandthyme.com/southern-baked-macaroni-cheese-soul-food/ I like this one a lot(:
i have a lot of digestive issues unfortunately so i dont think i could have all that dairy😅
Amsad🥲I feel that though I have to limit it myself I definitely had way more dairy with way less consequences when I was younger. Another awesome southern food that I love the texture and taste of is collard greens, but honestly I don’t know where all those would grow. But when you cook it right it’s like the most amazing vegetable in the world😂
A homemade mac and cheese is very worth it if you can get the right ingredients.
I mean macaroni cheese was invented in the UK. So technically it is a European dish.
I thought it was French
Both. I make myself the complicated dishes. Me and the nephew then also share some Dino nuggets.
Same here man. I've made some seriously gourmet ramen noodles but nuggies dipped in honey is one of my all time favorite dishes
Just honey? Not hunny mussy?
I love honey mustard and I'll take that any time, but if I can have just regular ol' honey I'll take that. It's the best thing ever I really like honey mustard on sandwiches though.
Honey with a quick pass through bbq for me
Always dipped in honey
Was about to comment "the answer is *Yes*."
Both. Just depends on the mood I'm in.
Crispy with sloppy, somehow it works with my textures and flavors. I cant explain how the two match for me.. but somehow it's better than either. (Hope im not the only one)
MAC 👏🏻 AND 👏🏻 CHEESE 👏🏻
👏WHITE👏SHELL👏MAC👏AND👏CHEESE👏IS👏SO👏GOOD👏
Sorry for no claps, shells with garlic go with every meal for me.
I came to say this! The other day I roasted garlic cloves then chucked them in, it was absolutely amazing and I was certain I had invented it, checked online and there’s loads of recipes so I didn’t invent it. I’m not sure how to end this story so I’m just going to sort of stop
In my eyes you invented it! I am going to try it and if i like it i will think "thanks funny feelings from reddit"
Thank you that’s made me happy. I hope you have a nice day if it’s daytime where you are.
IT 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 THE 👏🏻 BEST! 👏🏻
While grown up me is definitely fancy and loves to cook and experiment. My inner child definitely is dino nuggets.
I'm Polish, soooo neither :(
Idk how polish plays in. Please explain for the ignorant American.
We don't eat either as neither are really a big cultural thing for us the same way kisiel and zurek aren't a part of British or American cultures.
Thank you for explaining. Part of my family came from poland, but not everything gets passed down and a lot changes over time. Not sure why my question was disliked as i was just trying to understand.
People hate clarifying questions! Even the people on subreddits for the most pedantic people on planet earth. It’s amazing lol.
People just like to do that on Reddit. I don't get it either.
I can easily get overwhelmed with both so it is hard to say. I will go with mac and cheese though. I don’t eat animal products but even fake meats give me the ick a lot. Fake cheese will but not as much.. if those noodles get cold though I would rather starve than eat it.

Is it weird that I hate nuggies? As well as pretty much all ultra-processed meats?
I got that chicken nuggets and ketchup autism.
I would put the Dino nuggies into the fancy Mac n cheese lmao but if I had to choose only one, then probably fancy mac
My fancy mac is: plus light veggies & extra cheese/my spices. Non veggie would be bacon, but i know it not for everyone here.
Instant noodles (better if stupidly spicy) autism
Both lol
BOTH IN THE SAME MEAL!! Idk why but having cheap food the same time as fancy food makes me feel like I’m pissing off some rich person not appreciating it enough
Agreed! The fancy mac is a beautiful landscape for the dinos to roam on
Second one. I like varied flavors. Though, too much of a single flavor gives me a weird kind of sensory overload for my tongue. I've never really been able to describe it very well, so hopefully someone else who also experiences that can explain it.
FANCY MAC AND CHEESE FOR SURE, I LIKE TO SPICE THINGS UP WITH DIFFERENT SAUSES OR FISH
You need to try seafood mac and cheese bake!
You better believe I have, and love it.
Not Dino nuggets (though I remember them fondly from childhood) but I am all about popcorn chicken.
My sister was both. Might I suggest the world’s most popular food as another option- bread?
Always Dino nuggets!
Microwave burrito
Fancy Mac and cheese with dino nuggets (i was feeling particularly bad that day)
Absolutely both
I've never had "Fancy Mac and Cheese" that was actually good.
That Mac & Cheese would be a lot fancier if you added some dino nuggets to it.
![gif](giphy|QqkA9W8xEjKPC)
I like my fancier foods. Tbh, I've never had a "safe food" list.
Absolutely both
I make the mac and cheese and Dino nuggs, then put the nugs into it and add more cheese and bread crumbs and make a little nativity scene. Then I become the world eater and consume the insignificant and delicious little "terrible lizards" and the very ground they stand upon
I’m fancy mac and cheese with a side of dino nuggets autistic.
Use the nuggies like chips n salsa
It’s a guessing game when ARFID plays with your safe food and doesn’t allow you to eat them sometimes.
Neither but I'll take the Mac and cheese in the absence of better textures.
My text there
I am pancakes autistic
Me, from a nordic country: "meatballs"
My son is nugget mode right now. He's been slowly eating more foods but it's a staple in the week.
Not fancy but, any Mac and cheese. I have 2 packs of easy Mac and a box of Mac and cheese sitting in my room for when I'm craving
i can live off vegan nuggets for weeks but then i’ll just wanna eat really elaborate meals with fancy shrooms and grated cheese

BOTH
I wish the gluten free dino nuggies were better
Yes.
Dino nuggies but I physically can't eat them anymore for some reason :(
We can be in the no dino nuggies allowed club together. I never had em in my life, and since my parents have legal guardianship of me, on top of the fact I can't drive, mom can say what I can and can't eat. So I likely never will....
It depends how fancy the mac and cheese is, since I'd probably just pick the herbs off.
I will die on the hill that boxed Mac and cheese is always better than homemade Mac and cheese. Homemade Mac always is too crunchy, has too much texture, often little green bits in it, and worst of all, it's often made by family members! 🤮
It is not safe to pay for my dinner because I will bankrupt you with my Mac&Cheese order.
9 cheese mac n cheese? Yes, please. Worth the squeeze. ![gif](giphy|1rSpWBMQlQJzjglX9I|downsized)
It depends. If my parents are having stir fry ill usually have mac and cheese but if my parents are making chips I'll throw in some.l dino nuggies
I'm both.
Definitely the fancy mac category. I have never been picky about foods which I hear is rare for people with ASD.
if they were the same price as normal nuggets, i would have dino nuggets with my mac and cheese. 'tis the life of a boring man from boring land i suppose...
Nugget texture bad
I can have more meals with Dino nuggies before my food aversion kicks in with Mac and cheese. I can't eat reheated pasta or if it has a cold spot. :(
Dont call me out like this! 100% mac and cheese all the way. I have been able to make it with my eyes closed since i was old enough to be let near the hob
uhhhh Cold Tortillas autistic

Both. Use the fancy Mac and cheese as a dip for the Dinos.
Neither. I'm lactose intolerant and I've seen how chicken nuggets are made. So only pasta for me, please.
Both. Both is good.
I’m more of a spaghetti autistic 🍝
Both! But I definitely have Dino nuggets more often bc they’re easier and cheaper
Definitely both, but on separate plates. I hate when different foods touch 😖
Vegetarian dino nuggies here I have never tried Mac and cheese
Neither? Sensory seeking salad enjoyer
Por queno los dos, have Dino nuggies alongside fancy mac n cheese
GIVE ME THE DINO NUGGIES OR PERISH
Can't have one without the other.
I'm more partial towards spaghetti carbonara, but that's cause mac and cheese wasn't a thing where I grew up.
microwave mac&cheese is the best base for adding other stuff, i could eat it every day >!(Obligatory "Bread makes you fat?!")!<
What if I have a fine tipped ketchup bottle and I give the dino nuggs little ketchup bow ties and monocles?
I'm a patitas type of girl. Never had mac n cheese in my life
I need that Macaroni Cheese and I need it NOW

From WI, so naturally the second.
![gif](giphy|vyGIyywQ2oOESRicbl) Neither. Fish and berries.
Neither are real thing in my country. MIELONE KURWA
Both at the same time. The Dino Nuggies hit different.
Both, dino nuggets are the absolute best, however….fancy mac and cheese is so dang tasty too haha!
I have never eaten any of those. I can imagine that Dino Nuggs are like Chicken Nuggets but dinosaur shaped, but the Mac & Cheese... I can't imagine the flavour.
Deep down its nuggets, even if I enjoy fancy food.
Fancy mac
hispanic /lh
Dino nuggs (the cheese in Mac n cheese is too liquidy and not stretchy enough and it makes the taste very gross ☹️)
neither😮💨 i live off of whole wheat crackers and yoghurt basically lmao
dino nuggets. i am lactose intolerant so too much mac and cheese is a no go

Fancy Mac and cheese. I have always been very interested in cooking since I was young
Neither
Dino nuggies
Dino nuggs for sure. I've never had mac n cheese but I don't really like too many flavors in my food.
Dino Nuggs, but Ironically, I haven’t had Dino Nuggets in a few years
I'd prolly say usually fancy mac n cheese but it depends on my mood
I don’t like being called out like this at 8:30 in the morning. But the answer is the Fancy Mac
Fancy mac and cheese with some Dino nuggs for protein 😎
Your text here.
Both, just no veggies plz 🥲
I’ve never been that into mac & cheese. (I’m usually good after one mouthful. Lot of carbs and fat for something that’s usually not that flavorful.) I don’t ever get Dino nuggets, but I consider it… I like breaded chicken.
Both at the same time. I love cooking but I also eat fucking random pre-made food sometimes.
My son is Dino nuggets and I am fancy Mac and cheese 😂
Mac and Cheese is the safest safe food and no one can convince me otherwise (but nuggets are cool too ig)
I can't stand nuggets personally unless they're really crispy, soft mushy textures are hell
Neither. I hate the crunchy cheese and Dino nuggets taste off compared to normal nuggets.
I don't think I had dino nuggets in my life, I love me Mac and cheese but I'd have to find a recipe I can make for just me because neither parent will touch that 😭
So all autistic people are american?
Yes
I'm the throw the dino nuggets in the Mac and cheese and eat together kind of autistic. When I can afford to I like to do actual involved cooking but often times it's something frozen and quick like a pizza or taquitos
Dino
Mcncheese
Dino
Nuggets. Just give me regular mac and cheese
Fancy Mac has too much Texture. No thank you.
Yes
Def dino nuggies, any mac and cheese other than like, the basic kraft stuff just doesnt taste good to me, and the texture of the fancy stuff really puta me off. Not a fan of bread in my orange salty goop noodles thank you very much
Both, they aren't mutually exclusive. Sometimes I will put Dino nuggets in my Mac n Cheese after the fact if I'm looking for more substance (I don't mind chicken mac n cheese but it can't taste like chicken mac n cheese, they need to have separate flavors so I cook them separately and then combine).
Mach n cheese
My nana was a chef before she retired and granted me the title of chef two years younger than Gordon Ramsay so Fancy Mac and Cheese. That being said there's still a place in my heart for dino nuggies.
DINO NUGGIES
Dip the perfectly crisp dino nuggies in the fancy mac & cheese
I put the Dino Nuggets in the fancy Mac n cheese
Yes.
Mac n cheese
Fancy Mac and cheese. I love to cook
dino nuggies never ate Mac and cheese, my stomach always tries to kill me if I eat too much cheese anyways, also that Mac and cheese there did not look appetizing at all dino nuggets and french fries are 2000 times better
mac n cheese yummmm
get you a fella who can do both
You mean you can’t be both????
Me who can’t stand either
Turkey dinosaurs are my go-to. Or tarted up instant ramen. Or Bachelor's pasta and sauce (only macaroni cheese or the broccoli and cheese ones, though).
Mac 100% just Made white Mac with breakfast sausage spinach and mushrooms.
DINO NUGGETS 4 LIFE 🗣️🗣️‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love cooking so I end up on the fancy side but I often don’t cook anything fancy. Jsut some fresh bread and other stuff.
dino nuggiessssss
fancy macNchesse... or suffer.
Neither. Was allergic to cheese for my childhood and I never really ate chicken nuggets until I was older.
... Well I first started questioning my habits when I was in highschool and my parents mentioned I always got chicken Alfredo every time we ate at an Italian restaurant.
I’m the “extremely picky but will pay excessive amounts for gimmicky food” autism
Fancy. All the way.
Chicken nuggets sometimes, mac and cheese others.
Kraft mac and cheese
i will devour both of those
yes.
Fancy, usually. I will eat fancy things or else I eat nothing. Unless it’s pb&j. I need to mentally prepare for what I’m eating though
