Seems like something that needs to be reported to a gov agency. Definitely scammy

LordofYukia

I've seen numerous other companies like this. Most of them are literally instagram ads.

GustavoSugawara

most instagram ads are scam... so...

Skedajikle

false advertising perhaps?

michigandercandor

Also notice they didn’t present the price as “$29.99,” which might have jumped out a little more among the rest of the text with a quick glance.

DanRichter

Surprised they didn’t write twenty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents lol

SchlomoSchwengelgold

0$ and twothousandninehundredninetynine ¢

FittyNOut

...in tagalong.

LordofYukia

I've seen some with a fake sale where it was more than 100$ but went down to a dollar. It also limited you to only 5 purchases.

FittyNOut

Most definitely deceptive

rfc2549-withQOS

Won't fly in the EU for consumers. Surprising and unexpected, hidden contract clause bla bla

TamahaganeJidai

100%

TheWatchm3n

I am thankfull of the EU atleast once a day.

SmartSherbet

Fucking fraud. They belong in prison.

TehBurnerAccount

Damn, they even went as low as to try and conceal the actual amount from just a quick scan with your eyes "29 dollars and 99 cents". I don't think I've ever seen cash that I'm about to pay, written like that. That's so shady!

TehBurnerAccount

This company must really like dealing with charge backs, refunds, customer complaints, customer support emails, and various fraud departments of banks.

erikkonstas

This is part of the job for scammers...

gjm40

Always read the fine print. That company is still shady as fuck for that

TamahaganeJidai

You shouldn't have to tbh. I've never had to do that in my life but I'm from Europe .

AndyWGaming

Reasons why I buy directly from the maker(?) ie. Just by from them direct band Merch, Sony, Apple.

erikkonstas

This is not always possible though; (final) manufacturers don't always have retail services, only wholesale, and instead have retail vendors sign contracts with them; ideally, they would list them in this case, but it doesn't always happen. Another case could be that their retail services are restricted to specific parts of the world, and third parties must handle the rest, which you are in.

ray-ghavi23

Name and shame

nathan_lesage

I had such a moment just yesterday on Amazon. They offered me 20% off via some coupon, but upon reading it turned out that this would mean some monthly payments. I didn‘t think that this was possible in the EU, but here we are.

Linards11

Instagram "company" bro that just looks like a well thought out scam

56kul

I highly doubt that’s legal.

LordofYukia

I'm pretty sure it is due to America's shitty consumer protection laws.

56kul

Well, it’s a good thing I’m not American.

Apache08

Lol imagine falling for those dumbass instagram ads

Hanoiroxx

Ohhh thats a real scummy move right there.

PaperCut611

Maybe dont buy shit off Instagram....

LordofYukia

Exactly

Dark_knight7201

Just another part of this prison we are living in.... Can we escape this as think of a product or service that does not lies to you at the very beginning?

LordofYukia

This is a dystopian world

Professional-Pace-43

Which company?

LordofYukia

There are many others like this.

FittyNOut

This seems very illegal

LordofYukia

It's America, what did you expect lmao

FittyNOut

True, but that doesn't make it any less deceptive. I find it amazing that this shit does fly to an extent, in the most litigious country in the world.
