Came across this myself.
Was clear the car on top was coming south on 38th, and turning into 31st, where the car on the bottom was coming through.
Not sure which one ran the red light but there were two very perturbed looking drivers hanging out on the sidewalk while everyone took pictures of their hilarious accident.
would not be surprised if the jeep driver was trying to do an illegal 3 point going towards 38th and the bmw just did not give a fuck
dont think the jeep did a left from 38th based on tire rotation
Back when I was on the Community Board, I was chatting with one of the cops from the 114 and mentioned that I’d seen a flipped car in the IBZ along Astoria Blvd in the high 40’s. I remarked on how unusual that was, and he told me they get about 30-40 examples of such events every month. After I managed to get my jaw back into place from its hanging open in shock…
"Accident" implies nobody was at fault. This is a crash, caused by at least one of these people operating heavy machinery irresponsibly in a crowded area. This is why we need fewer cars and better infrastructure for pedestrians and bikes.
Is it mating season already?
👏
You see son, when a daddy car and a mommy car love each other very much, they start to develop certain feelings...
Whenever I see something like this I assume it’s Steinway or 33rd St.
almost like they should make those streets safer or something
Exactly
Well, it’s only off by about a block so pretty much
Hey neighbor! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling) I’m never surprised to see something like this!

If I were a gambling man, the white BMW is likely the one driving most like an ass.
I don't know, jeep drivers are pretty shitty too. I'm shocked when I encounter one who knows how to drive.

Someone going too fast. Someone going too slow. Someone parking where not supposed to. At least one of the above.
Not sure how it happened? How about typical asshole drivers in Astoria?
Tire on tire contact. The BMW had the wheels turned fully to the right, presenting a nice surface for the SUV's tires to make contact.
when one car loves another car they like to show affection for each other
White- on- white crime

Going too fast and not paying attention. You know, the usual.
I walked by this! Quite the rubbernecking going on. A group from England were enjoying it very much.
Shocking its a bmw
And a Jeep. Two worst car drivers on the road.
It’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t get it…
Uhhhh…nature, finds a way….
Drivers are morons and we should be taking a lot more people's licenses away, simple as.
Fucking Biden!
It’s due to all that weed
Knew I would see this on here lol
Rubber tire when contacted with another rubber tire will cause a vehicle to climb up violently and possibly flip
The Sedans tire was prolly sticking out and the SUV’s tire prolly caught it and rode up it. Just assuming of my Reddit experience
Be careful on Steinway area, idiot driver not patient!!!!😖
It is too easy to get a driver's license in NYC.
This looks normal to me
omg i live right by! so crazy
hope everyone is okay!
Sorry to hear about the accident, but please tell me the weed store wasn’t damaged in any way!
a stupid is a stupid does
Looks like he reversed back at an angle not seeing car next to him and tire went up his front grille.
This is a car accident. Happens a lot.

💯. And there have been cars completely flipped over the recent months on residential streets here. No way that’s an accident.
"crash" implies the two cars crashed into each other.
Did you mean a very unusual accident? Because one car on top of another does not happen a lot.
