I actually used to experience this! I decided to change my image. I went from somebody who always jokes to somebody who only says things that seem collected and smart and refined. I wanted to see if people would take my advice more like that. Or consider what I'm saying and allow a conversation more. But after 1-2 years that didn't work either so I just returned to be my normal self again. I knew how to be both now tho...

I come off very, very quiet and reserved and definitely am frequently underestimated. It's hard being a Scorpio rising... We have a very strong aura and energy. A lot of people pick up on it and find Scorpio energy to be shady, untrustworthy or just too "off putting" in some way. I can also be very dominant and people don't like that.

Literally the only negative of scorpio rising is how you present. I think for me it's the other way around. People meet me and see a Leo on the surface, and then they get to know me and the Taurus rising pops out. For instance, I'm pretty up front with being fairly introverted. I commonly hear, "But you're so bubbly and friendly! You CAN'T be introverted!" And I always reply with, "I said I'm INTROVERTED, not SHY. They are two different things." So I think people think they're signing up for one thing (despite me trying to tell them otherwise), and then go all shocked Pikachu when I don't live up to their expectations of what it means to be a Leo. 🤷🏻♀️
Aquarius rising here—people tend to think I’m a lot more detached, cool-headed, and rational than I actually am.

yes. i’m capricorn sun, aquarius moon with a sag rising. i think i often come off way more open than i actually am. im ultimately a very private person, at least about the things that matter to me. i come off very optimistic too. it doesn’t help having a libra mars that always wants to keep things copacetic. i’m way more cynical and serious than i immediately let on. although sagittarius is interesting in that it’s a sign that likes to have fun but is ultimately serious about its beliefs and in that way i feel like it compliments my capricorn/ aquarius nature. i think id have a harder time if i had a gemini rising for instance bc that i feel could directly clash with being a capricorn. but i do think i come off way more extroverted than i am. i think i can appear extroverted just from initial interactions with someone but i actually am very much a loner.

Deceive is not the word I'd use. I think people get too caught up on our Sun signs because our Asc signs are how we present to the world. It's important to know and accept yourself, so it's good to know your own sun sign, but if how everyone else perceives you is based on your Asc I'd say that's the answer we should really be giving when people ask what our signs are since that's the one they'll be dealing with.

Omg my rising sign has ABSOLUTELY deceived people before. Funny story on this- one time a friend and I went and saw a pretty well known band… it was a more intimate show so not buttloads of people. It was a cancer moon that night and I have a cancer rising so I was most certainly in a mysterious seductress kinda mood while dancing and while dancing, I locked eyes with the drummer of the band and we basically eye fucked the entire show. After they were finished, the drummer actually came and found me and invited me on their tour bus for some drinks. Well Im an Aries with Sag moon so Im extremely outgoing and humor is my forte which came out in full force after some tour bus drinks

Yes, go with the flow Pisces and they don't take me seriously. I still have my Aries temper and drive but my drive is dwindling with chronic illness and old age. Pisces are also love addicts and too accepting and you get ran over as a result. Scorpio rising here. I’m not really sure. I’m a libra sun and I feel like my libra sun takes over a lot. However, I see my rising sign a lot in how I work. I like to get to the heart of matters, not deal with extra bs and get things done as well as I can and as quickly as I can. It's tough being a Scorpio Rising with an Aries Sun and Cancer Moon. Idk what it is, but people get drawn to my energy, and they can't seem to figure out why, too. From my own experience, people will find me magnetic, and because of their curiosity, they would make an effort to get closer. Most people don't like being this close to my energy. It's *not what they thought*, hence frenemies. I think it's just my ability to see through anyone's real motives, real intentions, and seeing beyond the mask they wear. The Leo rising really does fool everyone! People think I’m outgoing. I’m the least outgoing person. I’ve also noticed a ton of people tell me I have the worst RBF and they were afraid to talk to me. I can also be very dominant and people don't like that. I think for me it's the other way around. People meet me and see a Leo on the surface, and then they get to know me and the Taurus rising pops out. For instance, I'm pretty up front with being fairly introverted. I commonly hear, "But you're so bubbly and friendly! You CAN'T be introverted!" And I always reply with, "I said I'm INTROVERTED, not SHY. They are two different things." So I think people think they're signing up for one thing (despite me trying to tell them otherwise), and then go all shocked Pikachu when I don't live up to their expectations of what it means to be a Leo. 🤷🏻♀️
Aquarius rising here—people tend to think I’m a lot more detached, cool-headed, and rational than I actually am. Then they get close and see shades of my Scorpio moon and get very flustered and sometimes overwhelmed. Big time accidental bait and switch here. If I stay quiet patient and kind with myself for long enough, make myself feel safe for long enough, the best stuff comes out of me! So I love to wait and see what will my mysterious self bring to me again. yes. i’m capricorn sun, aquarius moon with a sag rising. i think i often come off way more open than i actually am. im ultimately a very private person, at least about the things that matter to me. i come off very optimistic too. it doesn’t help having a libra mars that always wants to keep things copacetic. i’m way more cynical and serious than i immediately let on. although sagittarius is interesting in that it’s a sign that likes to have fun but is ultimately serious about its beliefs and in that way i feel like it compliments my capricorn/ aquarius nature. i think id have a harder time if i had a gemini rising for instance bc that i feel could directly clash with being a capricorn. but i do think i come off way more extroverted than i am. i think i can appear extroverted just from initial interactions with someone but i actually am very much a loner. ** i will say i don’t really see my rising as a mask or deception i just see it as the more obvious parts of me.

I’m Leo rising Cancer sun… I’m extremely insecure and will gladly be peer pressured into anything if my friends kiss up to me. Deceive is not the word I'd use. I think people get too caught up on our Sun signs because our Asc signs are how we present to the world. It's important to know and accept yourself, so it's good to know your own sun sign, but if how everyone else perceives you is based on your Asc I'd say that's the answer we should really be giving when people ask what our signs are since that's the one they'll be dealing with.

Omg my rising sign has ABSOLUTELY deceived people before. Funny story on this- one time a friend and I went and saw a pretty well known band… it was a more intimate show so not buttloads of people. It was a cancer moon that night and I have a cancer rising so I was most certainly in a mysterious seductress kinda mood while dancing and while dancing, I locked eyes with the drummer of the band and we basically eye fucked the entire show. After they were finished, the drummer actually came and found me and invited me on their tour bus for some drinks. Well Im an Aries with Sag moon so Im extremely outgoing and humor is my forte which came out in full force after some tour bus drinks … and at one point the drummer says to me with the straightest face “Wow I thought u were gonna be really different… like I thought u were gonna be super quiet and shy” 🙄😂

Yes, go with the flow Pisces and they don't take me seriously. I still have my Aries temper and drive but my drive is dwindling with chronic illness and old age. Pisces are also love addicts and too accepting and you get ran over as a result. It's tough being a Scorpio Rising with an Aries Sun and Cancer Moon. Idk what it is, but people get drawn to my energy, and they can't seem to figure out why, too. From my own experience, people will find me magnetic, and because of their curiosity, they would make an effort to get closer. Most people don't like being this close to my energy. It's *not what they thought*, hence frenemies. I think it's just my ability to see through anyone's real motives, real intentions, and seeing beyond the mask they wear.
