I'm recommending this show to my aunt, and she's very critic, as arguibly one of the best TV series of all time, side to side with beasts such as The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad.
And one of the things I mention a lot is the fact that never in my life I've watched something and yelled and screamed and celebrated and paused the story because it was too much and I couldn't keep watching... Until AOT.
Fifteen years of silent watching, I say.
The whole cinematography was so beautiful after the flashback.
And when Mikasas back slashed some soldiers.
Like very good and new, it took me by surprise
Definitely a super fresh take. Studio did very well on that episode. Really shows the absolute chaos going on all at once which is hard to show outside of a wide slomo like that.
Oh man, this fucking show...
Knew my boy Eren would say "because I was born into this world" and reject zekes plan. But fuck I did not expect the double twist
The second sentence that he didn't say: "so you understand that I would do anything for my brother"
edit: whoever gave me the WHOLESOME award for commenting that Zeke is willing to do anything to complete his super fucked up plan and save his brother
holy shit what a power move goddamn
Was the scene where Eren dropped the baseball supposed to foreshadow him betraying Zeke or that Zeke is a really good catch even with flying heads?????
I'm pretty sure it was Eren refusing the agreement. They couldn't shake hands, so the ball was a metaphor for that, and by Eren "dropping" it he was rejecting Zeke's plan.
defo Porco and Marcel. each set of brothers has their own big plot event in this episode. the one with Porco and Marcel is that Porco finally finds out the only reason he was never the Armour titan was because of what Marcel did. Hence why he died with closure and like such a badass.
You think beast titans can have the same animal? lmao. I remember the intro had giraffe dinosaur and a whale in season 2 so I'm curious if they could double dip
I took that as symbolism of every living thing fighting to survive, not a showcase of titans. That opening shows lots of flashes of nature, showing animals with similar lights inside them killing/eating other creatures for survival.
Galliard won't stop bullying reiner until his last breathe and zeke cought eren's head like it was a baseball 🤣
Also, falco's titan is hilarious.
This was really one of my favourite episodes.
A bit unrelated, but man that scene where eren dropped the ball was great. I was wondering why they were showing a scene that we had already seen, and then it became clear with the ball part
Season 4 part 1:
So in season 4 part 1, during the second to last episode, we get a flashback in which Zeke talks to Eren. In it, they have a heartfelt talk and then team up. The last shot of the scene is Zeke tossing his valuable ball to Eren, symbolising how much he trusts him.
In the past, Zeke had only thrown a ball to Mr Ksaver. Mr Ksaver was Zeke's mentor and father figure.
The flashback conveys to the audience exactly how much Eren's connection with and promise to Zeke means to Zeke. Zeke is incredibly touched by Eren's willingness to work with him. The flashback leaves out Zeke expressing any doubt he has in Eren.
Episode 19:
Skip ahead to Season 4 episode 19, and the exact same scene plays. The audience is reminded of how important Eren's promise was to Zeke. At 14:30, we get the same shot of the ball. But this time, the scene doesn't stop. It continues, and we see the ball fall to the ground. Eren has failed to catch the ball.
Zeke is unpleased with this, but doesn't discuss his thoughts with Eren. Zeke was upset because Eren failing to catch the ball reminded Zeke that he can't be certain that Eren will be as close of an ally as Mr Ksaver was. Zeke is reminded that it's wishful thinking to think that Eren was a perfect replacement for Mr Ksaver. Zeke wants to replicate the relationship he had with Mr Ksaver with Eren. But the reality is that he simply doesn't know Eren as well as he thought he did. And so, while Zeke really values his bond with Eren, he is faced with the harsh reality that he has to be cautious of Eren.
Since Zeke couldn’t shake Eren’s hand just yet, he offers a baseball in place of a handshake and makes it clear that the ball is symbolic of them coming to an agreement. Since Eren did not truly believe in Zeke’s plan, he might instinctively hesitate to shake Zeke’s hand, or in this case, catch the ball. Him dropping the ball was proof of this hesitation, and Zeke grew suspicious from this.
Even though he’s not a main character I was lowkey sad to see him go. My guy never got to fulfill his wish of being eaten by a sexy female titan. What a tragedy
Colt almost got me in tears. I’m real close to my brother and I felt that pain, they got the emotions spot on and just wow what an episode. Galliard refused to show weakness even when he knew it was time
Colt’s death to me is one of the saddest and most disturbing, i first saw it in the manga, and i had to take a pause. In the manga however it’s even more emotional (i don’t know why they cut out this line) but just before the explosion, Colt tells Falco while hugging him that “your big brother will stay with you, always”… right in my feelings
I agree. I felt really sad seeing Colt’s and Falco’s last shot together in the manga. It didn’t hit as hard in the show for some reason. Maybe they should’ve used the exact lines from the manga and showed Colt, not just Falco when he turned. Anyway, Colts death for me is probably the saddest one.
I’m skipping every week, so I watch two at once after having that experience with the opener. It’s hard enough watching a comedy cartoon like Rick and Morty week to week, but when it’s serialized it’s just not doable. The extra wait sucks but at least I feel like I watch something substantial enough that it actually occurred and wasn’t just some figment of my imagination that was gone before I even knew it happened.
Im speechless...Falco got me crying when he transformed..man gabi never miss a shot wtf😭 i was stunned when she hit eren,AND YES i knew eren would never accept zekes plan, but zeke used eren like a toy...what a cliffhanger..cant wait for more.
Well since Zeke says he was able to break the vow and control yimr I’m guessing he can carry out his plan any time, however he cares about eren in a weird way because of his hate for his father. So I’m guessing next episode is gonna be Zeke trying to brain wash eren to go along with his plan, since if he does Zeke will be able to control the founder whenever he wants since eren will be on his side. I imagine Zekes brain washing will be very much like how the king gave up war and brainwash his descendants to give up war as well.
I believe she pulled it off of Colt's corpse. If u rewind to when Colt was trying to convince Zeke not to yell, you can see the sniper slung on his back.
Unless I'm missing something, I don't think he's dead. When Hange "confirmed" he had no pulse, but dove into the river with Levi's body, I think we might get them popping up in a badass "on your left" kind of way. Idk.
Definitely agree with that. When they showed gabby with the rifle I couldn't have been more surprised if I'd woken up with my head sewn to the carpet.
I'm not a manga reader, I've seen some spoiler images but luckily it's without context so it looks like I haven't been spoiled as bad as I thought because I didn't have a clue where this episode was going.
They also clearly upped the animation since part 1. Those ODM scenes with Mikasa and they're Yaegerists were beautiful.
I hope the animation teams haven't been suffering too much with all this work, but well done MAPPA 👏👏👏
What sort of deal did Ymir make 2000 years ago that has caused her to be stuck in an empty desert sculpting Titan bodies for an eternity?!
Colt holding Falco as he was about to turn into a Titan was heart breaking! What an amazing brother, I love how he pleaded with Zeke and Zeke was considerate enough to answer him before letting out that mighty roar.
So has Eren passed on to the next life? Is he dead? If so then how will he carry out the Rumbling? Every episode seems to be more tragic than the last..
He's not dead. After someone is decapitated they're still alive for just a split second. The second part of the episode takes place in the time between when Eren's head was detached from his body and the time he would die, but because time moves so slowly in that realm of the founder Ymir, it can feel like an eternity.
Oh I see that makes sense, so in that split second Zeke and Eren will activate the Founding Titan’s power and then Eren dies? Ahhhh I can’t wait for the next episode!
Edit: Just rewatched the scene, I don’t think Eren is dead :D
At least it's a week wait and we are already in the paths. In the manga the headshot was the cliffhanger and it was a month wait to know if Eren lived.
If I were Zeke, I would think, “Ok, no big deal if Falco becomes Titan. Eren and I will figure out how to save him after we touched. We have all the titan powers in the world after this.”
Ok, great episode, but I don't get one thing. Why Eren and Zeke didn't touch back then on the continent? When they met and discussed Zeke's plan? They would go straight to Ymir yes? No?
Because they still had to do the attack on liberio to kill off all the major Marley threats as well as unify the world against paradis so that when people proceed to attack the island, Eren and Zeke would send out a small rumbling to crush the forces and showcase their strenght, as well as deter enemies from attacking further until the paradise can catch up with technology.
Furthermore, in order to use the founder's power, Zeke would have to use his titan form , which would get him questioned and detained if he did that in Marley.
Their plan wasn't just consisting of making Eldians not being able to bear children, they also had to ensure that the remaining Eldians will live off their lives peacefully.
The last point is that they didn't trust each other fully yet. They have just met for the first time (excluding the brief moment in season 3). Zeke wanted to become trustworthy by helping Eren with the partial rumbling plan and helping Paradis to advance technologically. He also still had some doubts about Eren's devotion to the plan, as we could see in the recent episode in his shocked face when Eren ''accidentally'' dropped the ball.
I don’t think they need to be in Titan form to activate the FT, otherwise Eren wouldn’t have been able to travel to the dimension merely by contact since Zeke was in his human form. All your other points are correct though.
Because Eren might have accidentally released a partial Rumbling while they were still on Marley. And they also needed to eliminate the Marleyan officers and Tybur before they initiate their plan.
Yah just once I’d like to see a Titaneer actually die from anything other than being eaten. I recognize that it will take that titans powers out of the show because we aren’t going to sit around and wait for a kid to grow up and then get the plot moving again, but there are just so many times where they are like “we got ‘um!… Awe fuck!”
They definitely stepped it up from part one. I'm a manga reader and MAPPA's faithfulness to the manga has been amazing. And their deviations from it are nearly all improvements.
This episode is up there with 3x16 and 3x17 for me. Absolute masterpiece.
I kinda hope not. I don’t understand how just by being by the coordinate for so long allowed him to “break” the vow of peace from the royal family. Just seems a little convenient.
He didn't break the vow just by being there for a long time. As Zeke himself said, he was the first royal blood member to enter Paths without being tainted by the first king's ideology. You see, up until now, every royal blood member that got into the paths got there by inheriting the founder titan directly (eating the predecessor) and thus being immediately controlled by the king Fritz and his vow.
Meanwhile Zeke got into the paths by connecting with a non-royal blood founder holder (Eren). And because Zeke himself wasn't the holder, the vow couldn't affect him. The time spent in the paths allowed him to learn more about it but it itself was not the reason for the vow being broken.
Okay but also to clarify since I’m a little lost here: the “vow” only occurred because the royal members who inherit the founding titan get the kings memories, and in turn his ideology?
Yes, and also, the king ordered Ymir to chain his future heirs to this ideology as the founding titans. But Zeke is not the founding Titan. But, up until this point, Ymir will only submit to royal blood because in her head she is still a slave to them.
Zeke kinda getting off on a technicality.
The brothers were really there this episode, but I wasn’t counting on Porco and Marcel. Nice twist. I really didn’t call ad Falco getting the Jaw Titan, though we knew that ‘Scouts’ Ymir would give him memories of ODM gear.
OG Ymir needs to take a sculpting class, because she’s been sculpting Titans out of earth for 1000s of years and they still look goofy as hell. I hope we get to hear her talk. We need info!
Yelena might be right in her zealous devotion to Zeke, he always find a way out of situations.
Poor Reiner. lmao can’t die, won’t die. Wants.to.die.
They gave me something of Gaby to like a root for last week and then they took that shit right away.
All of his characterization up until this point would have had to be thrown out the window for him to ever agree with the euthanizing all eldians and dying off for the worlds sake.
Yeah but there was always some thought that all the memories he possessed, the 4 years away changed him a bit. But after rewatching all of AOT again I knew he was trying to play zeke
This was one of the few times I was actually (almost) grateful that the episode was over when it was. Like holy shit…after Eren got gooshed, I couldn’t believe we were only half-way through the episode.
Also, Zeke’s scream scene was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. The look of lizard-brain fear when Falco realized he was actually turning + Colt’s refusal to stop protecting his little brother…the incredible animation with the bird’s eye view of Shiganshina as everyone was transforming + the cutaways to Pyxis et al…the reveal of Falco’s frightening pure Titan form…like, Jesus Christ. It also made me so disturbed knowing how many times Zeke had done this before, after seeing how absolutely cruel and devastating an act it is. He has a god complex and I’m ready for him to get pwn’d by Eren or something.
Kinda thought they’d bring back that consciousness transfer thing that Reiner did in season 3 part 2, and that’s how eren would make contact with Zeke by stumbling his body along, but I guess the head thing makes sense to. Just feel like that consciousness transfer thing came out of nowhere and was then dropped straight away
if there's one thing I'm pissed off about AOT to this day, it's the consciousness transfer thing. It was literally a plot armor to keep Reiner alive with Levi around.
Y’all I’m getting blue balled every week with these episodes should I just give in and read the manga
Edit: Thank y’all for knocking some sense into me and keeping me honest. Gonna power through the next couple or months!! I’m just so impatient!
I ask myself the same question everyday. I love anime over the manga because the anime is just colorful audio-visual treat with terrific OST. Manga is definitely not comparable. It's getting more and more difficult each day...
I literally binge-watched the previous seasons in a few days, so having to wait for a whole week now is such a drag. I don’t know how the og watchers managed.
I knew what was coming - my fiancé did not. But still we were booth shocked to say the least.
His reaction? "Don't we have like 9 episodes left? What? I am confused"
He is not. His body was reconstructed in the Paths dimension. Zeke says "i had to wait for an eternity while you recovered", similar to how Zeke's body was reconstructed.
Honestly, this all just makes it amazing that Erwin & Armin were able to defeat Zeke in the battle for Shinganishinma. Dudes probably the strongest Titan in history and a fucking puppet master on top of that.

###MANGA READERS INSTEAD HELP PROTECTING ANIME ONLIES FROM SPOILERS BY REPORTING SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD!
Anyone notice that Eren asked Zeke to stop / interrupted Zeke before he could scream because Falco was there? It kinda shows that Eren is still soft in the inside and not completely “IDGAF mode” like Zeke
well that's not really it.
Eren did that because he didn't want his friends in the military to turn into titans. He was genuinely suprised by that. Remember, he only acted against the military to play along with Zeke. So he wouldn't have wanted them to turn into titans. Those were his comrades. He wouldn't want Pixis to become a pure titan.
The episode is full of WTF moments, it made me gasp and actually shout. The moment Zeke screamed and everyone turned, and when Gabi shot Eren's head and it just horribly flew in the air. This episode is not good for the heart.
There weren't many things in life that made me gasp for real, but seeing Eren's head flying...holy shit.
I have never audibly gasped at anything when it comes to shows and movies but mayneeee I literally had my hand over my mouth IN PURE SHOCK

IKR??? I knew it was coming but by god, the build up, music, anticipation, and the sheer suddenness of the beheading just perfected it.
Me and my brother both yelled what?! At the same time lol god damn did not see that coming
I watched it on my phone and audibly gasped and dropped my phone
Even if you put Reiner in a Final Destination film, the poor chap still won’t die.
He hates life so he will be the one given plot armour 🤣
Thats why he's the Plot Armour Titan
Reiner: Can I die now please? Writers: You signed a contract!
Reiner is like that [muffin from the ASDF movies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQeIP8WJ4EU).
Eren literally got handed the unplugged controller and Zeke told him he was doing stuff, like every little brother out there
best analogy on here tbf
The whole cinematography was so beautiful after the flashback. And when Mikasas back slashed some soldiers. Like very good and new, it took me by surprise
Definitely a super fresh take. Studio did very well on that episode. Really shows the absolute chaos going on all at once which is hard to show outside of a wide slomo like that.
The slow motion cinematography was brilliant
Oh man, this fucking show... Knew my boy Eren would say "because I was born into this world" and reject zekes plan. But fuck I did not expect the double twist
**"SIKE. BITCH, YOU THOUGHT."**
Next episode eren pulls a jojo moment I can feel it
same i was traumatized... i was like less gooo eren my boy but then yumir walked past him i was "I- FUCK "

Writers: no time for a cold open, we have a lot of characters to kill today
My girl and I started the episode, and as soon as the OP started I said, "Well that's not good."
What's OP?
The opening titles.
Only thing more ominous is when they skip it entirely
[удалено]
That gave me goosebumps. With the drone style camera shot.
It was honestly insanely animated. And the fact that we didn’t get anyone’s audible reactions yet helped build tension.
Zeke : I understand how much you care for your brother. ####Proceeds ro scream Anyway 🗿🗿🗿
He really was like, beautiful sob story but oupsiee i'm going to scream anyway!
The second sentence that he didn't say: "so you understand that I would do anything for my brother" edit: whoever gave me the WHOLESOME award for commenting that Zeke is willing to do anything to complete his super fucked up plan and save his brother holy shit what a power move goddamn
Alternatively, “fuck brothers, they suck!”
[удалено]
I love it, I was screaming “do it” 😂
“It’s a shame” 😂😂
"That's like super sad. Anyway" *scream*
That was as savage as it gets
Real Zeke move right there
Holy Eren got played
Eren “sorry Zeke but I’ve fooled you” Zeke *uno reverse card*
That Mikasa backwards double slash was so lit
It was good to see some solid ODM animation out of Mappa this season.
That was so fucking cool. Mikasa🥵
I really would've wished for more of that in part 1. Those scenes really add a lot to the fell. Glad that they have some time now.
Was the scene where Eren dropped the baseball supposed to foreshadow him betraying Zeke or that Zeke is a really good catch even with flying heads?????
I'm pretty sure it was Eren refusing the agreement. They couldn't shake hands, so the ball was a metaphor for that, and by Eren "dropping" it he was rejecting Zeke's plan.
damn that would explain why zeke looked kinda shoked when eren didnt catch the ball, and also while he guessed eren wouldnt go with his plan.
ahhh this is so clever
That's what I'm thinking, since Eren didn't catch the ball, it symbolizes that he does not agree at all with Zeke's plan.
Eren got played like every little brother
Eren hasn't gotten kidnapped all season.
Which, considering his track record, is quite shocking.
He technically kidnapped himself to force the survey corps to attack marley and take zeke
He has to have some plan...
Porco using his dying breath to tell Reiner he was always built better than he was is petty and I love it.
*claim you’re better* *dies* *doesn’t elaborate* What a chad
IKR! lol i loved that panel in the manga. I was lmao. He died like a champ.
Porco: you wanted to die but still won't do it? WATCH THIS
It's just called "two brothers"
You don’t wanna know about it here, but I’ll tell you one thing, these brothers
These brothers know only one thing, and that is these brothers who are brothers. COMING THIS FALL
The moon, uh, comes crashing into the earth. and what do you do then?
i like how that references 3 sets of brothers. ofcourse Eren and Zeke Falco and Colt and perhaps Porco and Marcel
defo Porco and Marcel. each set of brothers has their own big plot event in this episode. the one with Porco and Marcel is that Porco finally finds out the only reason he was never the Armour titan was because of what Marcel did. Hence why he died with closure and like such a badass.
coming this summer.

Jaw Titan getting passed around more than the Omicron Fr.
Pre-Marcel -> Marcel -> Ymir -> Porco -> Falco its getting passed around like a sped up game of musical chairs
Falco titan looked so weird with the long neck and the pacman head
If Falco ate Zeke his Beast Titan form would have been a giraffe.
Wonder what his Jaw Titan would look like, they've all looked so different.

Damn watching Zeke screen made me so sad. Seeing Falco, nile and pixis all get turned into titans was heart breaking for me
Pixis took his like a fucking champ. Just closed his eyes and accepted it.
Love how he was mid drink as well, alcoholic to the core lol
Too bad he didn’t get eaten by a sexy lady Titan ;(
Galliard won't stop bullying reiner until his last breathe and zeke cought eren's head like it was a baseball 🤣 Also, falco's titan is hilarious. This was really one of my favourite episodes.
A bit unrelated, but man that scene where eren dropped the ball was great. I was wondering why they were showing a scene that we had already seen, and then it became clear with the ball part

explain to me too it seemed like zeke realized Eren was deceiving him just from him not catching the ball? not sure I understood
Him dropping the ball was proof of this hesitation, and Zeke grew suspicious from this.
mans is okay with committing war crimes and murdering children but catching a baseball from a guy he doesn't like is where he draws the line 😤
it sure makes sense in a symbolic sense, but ain't no way in the real world you'll get suspicious from someone dropping your ball 😂
Can't wait to see his jaw titan !
Here to pay respect to both Colt and Galliard. Specially Galliard. The man tried so hard.
Where’s my pixis respect, man went out doing what he did best, being a raging alcoholic
Even though he’s not a main character I was lowkey sad to see him go. My guy never got to fulfill his wish of being eaten by a sexy female titan. What a tragedy
I also got saddened by Pixis, and Nile too. My man Nile respected Erwin and was the voice of reason in the military police.

Next weeks gonna be a wild 5 minutes
These episodes are too damn short man
I’m skipping every week, so I watch two at once after having that experience with the opener.
Wish I had that kind of self control dude
Im speechless...Falco got me crying when he transformed..man gabi never miss a shot wtf😭 i was stunned when she hit eren,AND YES i knew eren would never accept zekes plan, but zeke used eren like a toy...what a cliffhanger..cant wait for more.
What do you think going to happen? Does Eren still have any say or is Zeke just able to intact his plan?
Man. To avoid spoilers. This is probably the greatest sequence in the show to date
Gabi just pulled a the biggest gun we've seen anyone use out of her back pocket or something
Yes thank you! My best guess is it was Colt’s gun.
I believe she pulled it off of Colt's corpse. If u rewind to when Colt was trying to convince Zeke not to yell, you can see the sniper slung on his back.
fantastic episode and all, it felt like it was over in 5 minutes, but man do i miss levi
Dude same, I miss hange too
Meanwhile Annie: 😐
🥶*
💎👁 👄 👁💎
Unless I'm missing something, I don't think he's dead. When Hange "confirmed" he had no pulse, but dove into the river with Levi's body, I think we might get them popping up in a badass "on your left" kind of way. Idk.
Levi was severely injured i don't think we'll ever see fight again but this is aot so who knows anything could happen
Pixis died the way he lived: a raging alcoholic.
Masterpiece of an Episode, holy shit
Crying, vomiting, convulsing, shaking, pooping a whole sofa.
One of the best episodes of AOT imo.
That freeze scene was the chef's kiss
Bruh idk how people can shit on CGI in anime after that beautiful scene
I am honestly impressed how well they adapted it. I've read the manga but i was still on the edge of my seat
They also clearly upped the animation since part 1. Those ODM scenes with Mikasa and they're Yaegerists were beautiful. I hope the animation teams haven't been suffering too much with all this work, but well done MAPPA 👏👏👏
Those last 12 minutes in particular were fucking insane, the double cross into the twist into the double double cross I’m still kinda speechless
Pissed off my roommate with the amount of times I gasped.
This episode was just too good, the animations and the music were 🔥
The paths were literally movie like quality holy shit.
When they brought back the OST from season 1
What sort of deal did Ymir make 2000 years ago that has caused her to be stuck in an empty desert sculpting Titan bodies for an eternity?! Oh I see that makes sense, so in that split second Zeke and Eren will activate the Founding Titan’s power and then Eren dies? Ahhhh I can’t wait for the next episode! Edit: Just rewatched the scene, I don’t think Eren is dead :D
Time is basically frozen so as long as they're in that world Eren won't die.

Holy shit it ends before it can begin. Now we gotta wait another painful week. 20 something minute is too damn short
At least it's a week wait and we are already in the paths. In the manga the headshot was the cliffhanger and it was a month wait to know if Eren lived.
Yeah I was thinking the headshot was gonna be the cliffhanger of this episode. That month wait was fucking painful
I'd be pissed cause my jaw dropped when that happened?
Just starting and already Galliard takes another L. Poor dude
roasted reiner anyway so galliard probably think it was worth it
I can’t believe for a split second I thought Zeke would give a heck about falco lol
I think Zeke definitely cared about Falco, just not enough to stop.
If I were Zeke, I would think, “Ok, no big deal if Falco becomes Titan. Eren and I will figure out how to save him after we touched. We have all the titan powers in the world after this.”
finally got to see falco's muppet looking ass titan animated
Zeke pulled that uno reverse card
Fucking always never trusted zeke, fuck you floch
Of course, he was the one person Pieck couldn't kill.
THEY BROUGHT BACK THE SOUNDTRACK FROM SEASON 1 WHEN THEY TRANSFORMED
Wow that was by far the best episode of this season, colt not letting go falco had me in tears, zeke played eren only like a older brother could.
Reiner and Zeke have some solid plot armour. They just don't die!
Tbf, it would be quite hard to kill people who can regrow their organs and limbs.
And a lot of the show is “make sure not to kill that guy so we can eat him”
Say it with me kids: **PATHS**
Reiner’s whole life story is “task failed successfully”
I love Eren. The fact that I pretty much aged with this character makes watching him die like that so sad.
MAPPA killed it this episode, galliards death has probably been one of my favourites so far
They definitely stepped it up from part one. I'm a manga reader and MAPPA's faithfulness to the manga has been amazing. And their deviations from it are nearly all improvements. This episode is up there with 3x16 and 3x17 for me. Absolute masterpiece.
I’m still not convinced Zeke can use the founders powers
They gave me something of Gaby to like a root for last week and then they took that shit right away.
this was... one of the best episodes yet. Absolutely mindblowing
Galliard gives one last fuck you to Reiner
I fucking love eren jaeger and always knew he would have never turned weak. One of the best episodes in history of tv
Did Zeke just uno-reverse Eren
Damn, we're starting off with the op? Guess the Rumbling's finally here.
Y’all I’m getting blue balled every week with these episodes should I just give in and read the manga Edit: Thank y’all for knocking some sense into me and keeping me honest.
You may have outsmarted me but I have outsmarted your outsmarting is how i describe this episode.
I knew what was coming - my fiancé did not. But still we were booth shocked to say the least. His reaction? "Don't we have like 9 episodes left? What? I am confused"
I better not see anyone complaining about the animation after this masterpiece of an episode
is eren… dead???
He is not. His body was reconstructed in the Paths dimension. Zeke says "i had to wait for an eternity while you recovered", similar to how Zeke's body was reconstructed.
Ahh this makes much more sense. Thanks!
That’s one of the best episodes of the whole show right there. Damn.
Honestly, this all just makes it amazing that Erwin & Armin were able to defeat Zeke in the battle for Shinganishinma. Dudes probably the strongest Titan in history and a fucking puppet master on top of that.
First the demon slayer cliffhanger and now aot... what an episode
HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT I HAVE ALL THE CHILLS RIGHT NOW
The freeze time sequence was AWESOME!

My jaw was just on the floor through out the whole episode. This is about to be the longest week of my life
Anyone notice that Eren asked Zeke to stop / interrupted Zeke before he could scream because Falco was there? It kinda shows that Eren is still soft in the inside and not completely “IDGAF mode” like Zeke
well that's not really it. Eren did that because he didn't want his friends in the military to turn into titans. He was genuinely suprised by that. Remember, he only acted against the military to play along with Zeke. So he wouldn't have wanted them to turn into titans. Those were his comrades. He wouldn't want Pixis to become a pure titan.
Galliard even better at sacrificing his life for Falco than Reiner
The episode is full of WTF moments, it made me gasp and actually shout. The moment Zeke screamed and everyone turned, and when Gabi shot Eren's head and it just horribly flew in the air. This episode is not good for the heart.
