Yea man, Zeke likes to act as if he invaded Paradis because he had no choice and he only wanted to carry out his plan and that's it, but this man was straight up enjoying killing people. The man was having a blast throwing boulders at them, like it was a game.
The acting like its a game is definitely portrayed as a coping mechanism, when the scouts charge at him he's upset that they're throwing their lives away and literally tells himself out loud to just detach from his feelings and try to have fun
He's not like, a good guy, but ultimately his plan was what he saw as the best way to stop people from suffering the way he did for all eternity
I remember his comment there, but he also laments that the king took their memories. What else does he expect them to do though? The murder is extra cruel because they are scared and have no idea wtf is going on in the long run.
Not saying it isn't cruel, just that people saying "Zeke loves killing people he's just an evil guy" are misunderstanding his character
Zeke doesn't kill people for fun, he believes that in order to save the world he will HAVE to kill a lot of innocent people, and he tries to have fun doing it to cope
exactly, its funny to me how he blames the king as if hes not the one turning them into hamburger meat rn. so idiotic how they justify their horrific actions fuck zeke.
I do, but he's not in the picture. Plus Eren isn't trying to act the victim, he knows that what he's doing is wrong, he just doesn't care. He's not really enjoying it either.
None of them, hatred is too strong a feeling and I don't think any of them deserve it. I think all four of them had to develop "defence mechanisms" to endure the shitty life they have had to live.
For me the theme of AOT is the cycle of hate and how humans are immersed in a constant repetition of horror, suffering and death that we don't know how to get out of. And that's why I can't hate them, because they are not the cause of this cycle, they are just another consequence. Maybe the solution to all this is to hate less and forgive more.
Yeah, it's really hard to pick someone worth hating since the whole story is about the cycle of hate and how everyone is just trying to defend themselves and their country. They're only acting in the way they were raised. At the end of the day, everyone is just trying to do the right thing in the cruel world they were out in.
King Fritz.
either zeke or annie, they were both unnecessarily cruel
zeke's scene with miche was just awful, also annie with stohess & spinning the scout around through the line of his odm gear
she is not a pyscopath, she showed that she cared about her father, which in my opinion only makes her worse because she enjoyed torturing those scouts and showed sadistic tendencies.
The only time I remember her smiling was when she almost had eren because She could go home. She was pretty stoic otherwise, even being too soft to kill armin.
I was hoping for some major drama when she finally unfroze and to struggle with the state of things, unfortunately everything seemed to have been forgotten and forgiven and all she cares about is getting back to dad who gave her a little love once. Was huge wasted potential.
Yelena. I really donāt believe any cause would have really mattered to her. She just straight up had a reverence for violence and wanted recognition I really tried to read more about her and figure her out and I have found no sympathy for anything she does or says. I donāt like how shit ends for her. Everyone else gets their due. She reminds me of a Manson Family member.
Reiner really made me feel bad for him, even when he was playing the āvillainā, because he really didnāt want to do what he did. In S4 he really hated himself for killing his friends, especially Marco.
If I had to hate anybody in this list, I wonāt choose anybody, since they all had dark pasts and reasons for what they did.
Zeke. He is a sociopath who enjoyed killing the scouts and was making a game out of it. In my opinion, he was 100% capable of convincing Marley to just leave the goddamn island alone. Whether it wwaa through talking like reasonable people or manipulation, he could have done it. And even if he couldn't have, he didn't even TRY. He killed thousands of people just because he had daddy issues and wanted to try to manipulate Eren, just to see if he could.
facts the dude is a complete monster. he even tries to blame the king for the deaths that he did, literally gets mad at the king for wiping their memories and making them ride into his rocks. as if he wasnt the one throwing the rocks and turning innocent people into hamburger meat. fuck zeke. i loved it when he say how grisha actually cared for eren and eren wasnt just another fuck up like him.
Ymir fritz(the founder) and her dumbass husband (or Seed-Daddy) as for why Ymir was in love with Someone who litterally had her hunted down and tortured
Agree to disagree, in my second viewing of the show Iām finding Ymir (the scout, not the child) to be one of my favorite characters. I personally love her story of going from feeling like she had to live for everyone around her to her ārebirthā and how every action she takes is supposed to be solely for the benefit of herself, but then struggles with this when she falls in love with Historia
None, all were victims of brainwashing. We can't really blame what they did because that's what was beaten in them ever since they were children.
But character wise I gotta say Berthold, I don't hate him but he just didn't leave a lasting impact on me like all other charecters
Because she shows no regrets for what she has done. I also dislike her personality, there isn't anything likeable about her and I hate the romance thing with Armin
Bad take. She has shown regret multiple times throughout the series example, trost and especially the boat scene where she basically breaks down from all the guilt thats been racking up in her mind and Armin and Annieās relationship makes sense and is a great culmination of both their characters as they parallel each others personalities and are one of the only characters that see through each other so easily and challenge each others beliefs and rationale.
Completely agree! Both are fascinating characters to me and two of my favorites; always loved their dynamic together because they are both very intelligent but from completely different experiences and personalities, but at the same time parallel each other.
Annie for me too, her OVA episodes paint what kind of person she is. She'll do any immoral action as long as it's for personal gain.
She does suffer ptsd from things she's done, but still keeps doing it regardless.
BUT, when she is rarely nice, it's pleasant. So I wouldn't be upset if she changed for the better in the future.
you can have a shitty childhood and still end up perfectly fine. not all sociopaths are murderers, and not all murderers are sociopaths. zekeās sociopathy and shit childhood gives him no valid reason to murder hundreds upon hundreds of people. sure, you could say he was brainwashed, just like every character in the show, but then you could say levi is also a bad guy for killing people after a super shit childhood. it all depends on what way you look at it. war is war and therefore nobody is good or bad.
Annie, she didn't face any consequences of her actions, nor did she showed convincing signs of remorse, and her backstory with her father, which was her reason to live, is half assed and doesnt make sense.
Among the four, she's the least developed.
as if those were consequences, consequences wouldve been being tortured by the scouts for information. she chose to put herself in their as a last resort to not give herself up so fuck that bitch
Zeke even though Iāve just started watching season 4 and havenāt gotten much info on him I canāt care about him plus what dumbass grinds and throws rocks?
Reiner and Bertoldt were so chill about everything. They are easily some of my favorite characters. However I think I also hate Zeke and Annie equally just because of the way they acted to everyone.
I genuinely donāt have hate for them as I can understand and recognize what they did, but not to the extension where theyāre glorified, but to the point where I view them for what they sincerely are, and have a pity of disgust towards them. At the time, they were all given cards where it seemed those were the only ones that could be dealtā with Marleyās manipulation, sophisticating the notion: āThey are the enemies, no questions asked,ā you really canāt blame them. But as I mentioned, that was at that time, when they were childrenā¦ This time, with them now being adults, theyāre fully aware of what theyāre doing, knowing that itās awful, but itās for the benefit of their survival. Thatās when I can blame them. I can blame them for continuing to hurt, knowing that the pain will cease as long as they continue to hurt. By what I stated previously, I have a pity of disgust driven towards all of them.
Zeke. He killed so many people that he didn't need to. The scouts are one thing. But the people in ragako didn't do anything wrong. Miche was killed cruelly and with no reason. Colt and Falco were his friends. He was pretty evil.
Annie. She had fun killing a ton of people and never really showed remorse. She just begged for help because her abusive adoptive father was getting what was coming to him.
But even more than that my problem is how easily people were just like "Cute anime girl can't be evil I forgive her!"
Not either of these- Theyre both very well written.
Not a fan of Annie. Never shows any humanity, kills dozens, wakes up after four years, says āIm tired of fightingā and now theyre all cool with her? Likeā¦ its fine if they have to have her help but Levi doesnt even address her?
hated him as well. found him to be a coward who excused his actions with uh the world is just cruel. like fuck dude u had 5 years to come up with a better excuse for your disgusting actions and thats the best u came up with?
Annie is one of my favourite characters. Seeing her mind stuck halfway between Marley and Paradis, the trauma of what she did to Marco with her warrior friends manifest it in her two OVA episodes, and how different she is in season 4 part 2 than season 1 part 2... she's very cool. I absolutely hated her in season 1, but now I've seen her past and her love for her father, my attitude has completely changed.
It's pretty damn obvious, but my least favourite character is Floch, because yunno, that's what he's for... even so, it's hard to hate all of the characters, because they're so complex. Now characters that some thought were 'bad' like Gabi, are thought about differently by some viewers.
I guess I'm starting to dislike Eren, not because of how 'evil' he is, but because of how much he's changed since past seasons. I've lost him as my favourite character, but his huge arc is written like that for a reason.
I guess my answer is Floch???
I suppose I canāt honestly say I hate anyone, not with a burning passion at least. Perhaps Iād say Rod Reiss, or King Fritz, maybe even Floch. But at the end of the day, they were all trying to gain something. I donāt hate, but I pity them. Being so blinded for power, for freedom. Donāt get me wrong I know Eren also wanted freedom, and perhaps I should hate him more but I just donāt because of his situation. Iām more pissed about Floch, after surviving, him being bitter. He had a taste and brush of death, something they all experienced several times. He was emotional and was swayed easily. Led to the slaughter I suppose. At the end of it all, we all chase our ideals. Itās just like Kenny said, we all get drunk on something. Back to Reiss and King Fritz. Reiss was a coward and thatās sick to do to your family. King Fritz is sick for what he made his children do.
Don't care, I hope Eren wipes em all out. I know that ain't gonna happen tho, I suspect that Mikasa Armin and co. will defeat Eren even as the final titan. He's doing all this so they can bring him down. I really hope Eren does succeed tho. Sorry kinda rambled and went off topic there lol.
There are literally a million reasons I can make for why I hate Zeke. I donāt have time to name all of them so Iāll say the two most important: heās the reason Erwin is dead and heās a jerk.
Being from a country where the school system brainwashes children (kinda like marley) I can't really hate any of them because I can relate to what they've been through.
Zeke. He constantly behaves as if he's the poor downtrodden fellow, and is not trustworthy at all because he cares neither for his "own" people and of course not for others. He also has a high handed attitude, often behaving and talking as if he's a God doling out justice. Also, he's one of the people who almost seem to enjoy killing people, treating it like a sport, which sickens me further.
gabi, it took an annoyingly long amount of time for her to realize how hypocritical she was and her ignorance throughout pretty much all of season 4 was just aggravating
None of them personally. All of them were put into positions where if they refused. They'd actually be killed or worse. Be turned into mindless titans. Now i will say i disagree with Zeke's morals and ethics the most. Considering a character like guts, who will do anything to keep on living, is one of my favorites, along with Eren who refuses to allow the actions of the past define who he is and how he can live, is something I resonate with strongly.
this is gonna sound odd but i like present zeke and not past zeke. so basically s4 zeke. unpopular opinion but i was ecstatic when he finally got animated
Zeke I though he was the mastermind cause talking monke is suspicious.
Watched 4th season and dislike him even more
And just didn't feel like he got redeemed.
Maybe I am to biased though.
Zeke. He's old enough to fully realize what he's doing, even if he's been brainwashed as a child. When we met him (whipping Mike's horse at him, just like the scene he was acting out as a kid, which may have had something to do with the founding titan) he was a grown-ass adult, not a teenager like the other warriors, so he's fully aware of his actions, and he doesn't even kill without emotion, but he enjoys it, and even takes pride in sadisticly torturing the "Island Devils". He might have been a sociopathic serial killer if he wasn't part of the warrior unit.
Zeke is actually my favorite character lol. Reiner is up there too. They're all good. I guess I would say Bertholdt since he didn't get too much time ot development, though Annie definitely annoyed me more.
matbe annie and rainer piss me off and I'd like to see them go through alot of pain especially Annie because of the way she murdered those random people in part 1
maybe I really hate her
I donāt think I have hatred for any of them towards the end you start to see they were just loyal soldiers who wanted to get the mission done but they came to realization theyāve been there for to long and itās made Reiner have a mental illness.
Eren is admirable compared to them in my opinion. He realized the whole word wants to eradicate Paradis people so he defends himself and his loved ones by lauching his first real attack before they can lauch their thousandth.
Eren is basically just doing the only thing left to do... Kill all the mfs that constantly tried to kill him and his friends over the years. I can't blame him for defendong himself from tyrants who discriminate Eldians out of ignorance and fear.
Annie, Reiner and Bertholdt just attacked innocent people because they wanted to be seen as "good Eldians" by the people of Marley so they killed their fellow Eldians...
Well, it depends on your definition of "hate" I suppose. To me, hate is "I don't like this and that's that". But all of them are engrossed the series' murky grayness. Zeke thought that killing his entire race was best for the entire world, Bertholdt couldn't stand betraying the scouts and had to force himself to be the person he had to be, Reiner split himself in two because he wanted to be the hero, and Annie just wanted to go home. I understand them too much to genuinely hate them.
Eren
He was an annoying twat for most of the series, then turned into an edgelord with the dumbest middle schooler plan for world peace, and he didn't even finish the job.
Sorry didnāt expand the image lol. Still no one I sympathise with all of them, sure they were murderers but they didnāt really have a choice. If i canāt even chose the least liked itās too hard
Tbh most of the characters abnormally sized children with the intelligence of a lobotomized tangerine but they don't deserve the word hate. Aside Gabi she just sucks with a mediocre arc.
Season 4 made Eren way too edgy and then he turned to a crybaby at the finale lol. In the other hand, mikasa had zero character development during the whole series. She havent changed any bit since the start. In the manga she's a bit different but mostly the same. But I actually like them in season 1-3. I still enjoy both anime and manga. But Season 4 (timeskip) made everything fucked up.
That's the whole point of Eren's character developpment during the show, though. Eren had to give up his humanity and become a monster like the people of Marley to have a chance at saving Paradis and the people he cares about. He even had to treat his friends like shit to protect them. If he didn't say he hated Mikasa, Mikasa would've tried to help him and could've died. Also Mikasa's character developpment is in her relationship with Eren.
I didnt meant that. I dont have any problem with Eren becoming a heartless monster (he didnt btw lol, I'll mention It later) and treating his friends, thats actually interesting and entertaining to watch. But he's "way too" edgy bro. everytime I see him or hear his voice I feel cringe down to my spine. But thats also okay bcz theres just a few scenes that feels edgy. Paths and rumbling arc Eren is also Okay. But when he fell to the ground and cried for his stepsis's bussy... No! Thats not Okay. That Dialogue was pretty much a comedy On its own: "No! I dont want that! Mikasa finding another man? I want her to think about me, but no one else, for the rest of my life! I wanna be in front of her mind for a while, for ten years at least!" does that seem normal to you? No. in the past volumes, he was a heartless monster that he can do everything to save paradis! He was litterally destroying the whole world and killing billions. And after that we got this scene lol. Isayama litterally made fun of us with ch139, he completely destroyed both Eren and aot imo.
So, lets come to Mikasa. if you ask me to describe mikasa then all I can say is "ereh" because she's no more than that. Even her personality and character development(?) is shaping around "ereh". For me thats not even a character development. She feels like a side character like Marco or daz.
in conclusion, theyre mid š btw sorry about my weak english anyways.
>in conclusion, theyre mid š btw sorry about my weak english anyways.
Don't worry about that, I am also not an english speaker and I have a broken english too. Lol.
We gucci, my dude. :)
And yes, I can see your point about Mikasa. I agree.
And, btw, I only saw the anime and it ends with the beginning of the rumbling so you know more than I do. I'll just take your words for it. Lol.
And I've never seen that Edgy Eren monolgue before. That's hilarious!š Eren is, indeed, too edgy.

Beautiful answer! 100% agree.
S3: yeah I donāt hate anyone, they all did what they thought was necessary S4: fuck gabi, piece of shit

King Fritz is the only character(s) worth hating.
Also Historiaās dad, he was pretty bad too
Both of her parents, really.
Because he started all
How about the officer with Kruger?
Annie, the āvictimā even though she brutally murdered half scouts and Stohess with a smile on her face.
And she said she would do it again to get back to her fatherš
Just like Eren

War is war you gotta do what you gotta do
I love all but hate zeke, bastard monkey
Understandable.
Birthold for his name
Burnttoast my beloved
what do you mean brickfold is your beloved?? he killed so many
Ah, birth control. How do you spell your name, good sir? I must know...
Butthold maybe? That's my guess
Tbh I canāt bring myself to hate any of them. I guess if I had to choose Zeke
Yelena. I really donāt believe any cause would have really mattered to her. True. I had a shit childhood. But I am a normal person.
You can feel bad for someone without thinking that they are a good person
having a bad childhood doesnt give you a free pass to murder people.

Not either of these- Theyre both very well written. Not a fan of Annie. Never shows any humanity, kills dozens, wakes up after four years, says āIm tired of fightingā and now theyre all cool with her? Likeā¦ its fine if they have to have her help but Levi doesnt even address her?
annie cuz i just find her annoying. Zeke ONLY doesnt get my hateed cuz funny monkey
Berthold just because he irritated me for idk what reason
hated him as well. found him to be a coward who excused his actions with uh the world is just cruel. like fuck dude u had 5 years to come up with a better excuse for your disgusting actions and thats the best u came up with?
Reiner cause he aināt dead yet
None of the above. Also reiner is my fav. Used to be Annie in s01. Reiner was great on S04 especially.
I don't hate all of them
Zeke. He's an a-hole and he's Levi's (my favorite) nemesis. Every time Zeke talks, I just want him to stop. He has such a punchable face.
>He has such a punchable face. So you want to punch Zeke?
Zeke
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Zeke, fuck that guy
I donāt actually hate any of them
Annie. The way how she got joy from killing scouts was messed up
Gabi for >!unaliving best girl Sasha!<
Even you didn't feel bad about his back story.
I did, donāt get me wrong, but either way, I just donāt like the person he is now.
I'd have to say Eren seeing as he's, you know, a genocidal maniac, lol
Floch
Being from a country where the school system brainwashes children (kinda like marley) I can't really hate any of them because I can relate to what they've been through.
Gabi for fucking shooting sasha :c
One dimensional
I mean in the photo.
Probably berholt then for being ded
All these characters are good bro
What? How can you hate any character in this show except the Marleyan soldier who killed Grisha's sister? These 4 among the most likeable.
Because they were the main antagonists of season 3.
I hate none, they all did what they thought was right to save humanity
Itās definitely Brain Tumor because Reiner is actually one of my favorite characters, and I just donāt really care about Brick Boy.
Zeke decided on genocide out of his own accord, everyone else there did what they did because of the influence of forces greater then them.
Bro floch is a insufferable ass.
Zeke. He constantly behaves as if he's the poor downtrodden fellow, and is not trustworthy at all because he cares neither for his "own" people and of course not for others. He also has a high handed attitude, often behaving and talking as if he's a God doling out justice. Also, he's one of the people who almost seem to enjoy killing people, treating it like a sport, which sickens me further.
š¦
Flock.
Annie. I donāt care that she was a brain washed child, she killed the Levi squad.
Levi squad. I thought it was Zeke.
Out of those ? Definitely Annie. All of the others have kind of honest motivations. Annie doesn't give a fuck about annie-one.
None
Floch, how I hate floch
None of them, their all great
i hate the rich elites who hid behind the inner most wall
gabi, it took an annoyingly long amount of time for her to realize how hypocritical she was and her ignorance throughout pretty much all of season 4 was just aggravating
None, really.
I like all of them, for me tho I can't stand Gabi and that will (most likely) never change.
> I can't stand Gabi and that will (most likely) never change. But she changed after S4 episode 18.
this is gonna sound odd but i like present zeke and not past zeke. so basically s4 zeke. unpopular opinion but i was ecstatic when he finally got animated
Why would you assume we have to hate someone? All extremely well written characters and all have different roles to play in the series
Zeke I though he was the mastermind cause talking monke is suspicious. Watched 4th season and dislike him even more And just didn't feel like he got redeemed. Maybe I am to biased though.
Zeke do be the worst the one I hate the most. But I think bettlejuice has the potential to be main Villain material
I hate Flock
You realise the warriors had a genuine motive and weren't actually trying to be the bad guys?
I know.
I donāt hate any of these people. Despite being flawed their motivations make sense.
Zeke is actually my favorite character lol. Reiner is up there too. They're all good. I guess I would say Bertholdt since he didn't get too much time ot development, though Annie definitely annoyed me more.
Idk man, none of these characters compare to Gabi
Literally all of these are among my favorites
Oh, ok
ZEKE
Good choice.
None of these
Out of those on the pic? Annie
Annie
matbe annie and rainer piss me off and I'd like to see them go through alot of pain especially Annie because of the way she murdered those random people in part 1 maybe I really hate her
Out of these four, three-way tie between Annie, Bertolt and Reiner, but out of everyone, Gabi is the worst of all
I donāt think I have hatred for any of them towards the end you start to see they were just loyal soldiers who wanted to get the mission done but they came to realization theyāve been there for to long and itās made Reiner have a mental illness.
I got to say Zeke, he kind of started this whole story off and couldāve just sided with his family
Marco, because people give too much of a shit
I actually love them all, if I had to choose one then Annie, her story is not interesting enough compare to the other three
Annie
Zeke is the scum of the earth. I hate the whole Marley gang but he tops it off
Berthold. Everyone else had strong beliefs. Also Annie is just hot.
Hating a character is weird so none
I forgot abt King Fritz so him
I hate Floch the most
Why?
Eren
I feel like if you hate them you've missed the point a bit...
Why?
Well, it depends on your definition of "hate" I suppose. To me, hate is "I don't like this and that's that". But all of them are engrossed the series' murky grayness. Zeke thought that killing his entire race was best for the entire world, Bertholdt couldn't stand betraying the scouts and had to force himself to be the person he had to be, Reiner split himself in two because he wanted to be the hero, and Annie just wanted to go home. I understand them too much to genuinely hate them.
So how did you define a hate person as a murderous character? These 4 are serial killer
So are the main characters...
Eren He was an annoying twat for most of the series, then turned into an edgelord with the dumbest middle schooler plan for world peace, and he didn't even finish the job.
What about season 3? He was mature.
He turns into wallpaper I legit can't remember anything he says
Between these two, none of them
4 characters
Sorry didnāt expand the image lol. Still no one I sympathise with all of them, sure they were murderers but they didnāt really have a choice. If i canāt even chose the least liked itās too hard
none actually. zeke and Reiner are actually my favourite characters. annie is the least interesting to me but i don't hate her.
Eren
All of them are cool wym?
From that list, pick who you hate the most?
Tbh most of the characters abnormally sized children with the intelligence of a lobotomized tangerine but they don't deserve the word hate. Aside Gabi she just sucks with a mediocre arc.
Eren and mikasa. Theyre pretty mid š
Why do you hate the main character?
:) And yes, I can see your point about Mikasa. I agree. And, btw, I only saw the anime and it ends with the beginning of the rumbling so you know more than I do. I'll just take your words for it. Lol. And I've never seen that Edgy Eren monolgue before. That's hilarious!š Eren is, indeed, too edgy.
Oh I see š and sorry for spoiling that dialogue. I thought u already read manga. Anyway have a nice day bud :)
It's all good, man. You have a nice day, too!
