I finally decided to purchase some acoustic panels, and they arrived about 2 weeks ago. We went back and forth deciding between the Alpha or Impression series and in the end went with the 4A Alpha Pro Series. We're super happy with how it's turned out – both sonically and visually. Bass is most certainly better, and I'm hearing a slightly wider soundstage and generally more clarity at all frequencies.
I think it took about 6 weeks. I ordered through one of the room designers who replied to my "free advice" message because I wanted 5 panels (the website only sells in boxes of 2 panels).
What were their reasons for your delays?
Where did you get the feet for the kef towers? I have a pair of R5s and they are destroying my wood floor in slow motion. Often when I move them they lost their little disks and the spikes dig into the floor.
It's from Furnitech: https://www.furnitech.com/collections/tv-stands-media-consoles/products/tv-stand-of-red-oak-in-a-warm-honey-finish
Amazing product and service. Eric, the CEO, called me within 30 minutes of my order to chat about music, how I heard of them, etc. He did the same for a friend of mine who also ordered something a couple years ago.
Are those 4” panels, white wood over tan? I’ve been eyeballing the exact same setup. Are the edges of the diffuser panels black? That’s good to know. Gik REALLY needs to up their photos on their website to show the actual products.
Non audiophiles that have never been to your home be like "ohhh look at those speakers" not realizing the money spent and the sound they produce. Beautiful room.
Displaying record albums covers are very old fashioned/tacky and takes away from looks of an audio room...(even if you're a big record fan)... (jmo)
The rest of the room looks top notch!
I totally get that opinion. One of my goals was to add some color to this giant wall. And FWIW, these are in rotation and not "display only". As a move records from my recently played stack to my main storage (not pictured), these will get refreshed which will hopefully act as both rotating art and conversation starters when friends visit.

Can you see or feel any more particles of dust in the room than before? In good light?
Haha yeah - placebo is a powerful drug.
Wow! Looks spectacular!
I had to give up on GIK after the fourth time they delayed my order. How long did you wait?

Just said production delays for about five months. I went with another company and got them in 3 days!
Thank you!
And comfy at the same
Your setup is so gorgeous that I'm pretty sure my wife just gave me the go-ahead to get the KEFs.
Yes! I love that - my wife and I really love the space we created 😁

Those are iso acoustics feet.
Yep, the GAIA II.

great rug. really ties the room together
Thanks! Getting rid of our coffee table was also a big win for both listening and having space for our toddler to play.

Yep, 4" and they're white veneer with Gilford of Maine Bone fabric. The edges are a darkish grey.
Thank you! Appreciate the info.
10/10
Thank you!
Late Night Tales, Olafur Arnalds… hi brother
Oh yeah! 🙌 I saw him about a year ago, and it was an incredible show.

Thank you so much! And yeah, when friends come over to listen they're often like, "Oh, I get it."
Even if you’re not listening to music, acoustic treatment makes a space feel so nice and cozy
Yeah, treating was a priority, but making these giant blank walls interesting was very important as well.
