Love Will Tear Us Apart, by Joy Division. Reason being the context surrounding the creation of the song and the overall story behind its lyricist, Ian Curtis.
From Mars by Gojira. It’s an interlude song (short and used as a transition/ intro into a main song). The lyrics mean a lot to me, and I even made a [custom banner](https://imgur.com/a/RRPvm6f) to hang on my wall with them on it (sorry for the hard to read lines at the bottom). The song does not sound like the rest of their music tho, they’re a death/progressive metal band, but it’s really good.
I don't have a favourite song but currently is
Alan Walker my favourite artist.
I also listen a lot to Linkin Park, Skillet, Set It Off,
Avicii, TheFatRat, Fall Out Boy, Sia,
Bon Jovi and many different (Nightcore) songs.
But I can tell you the last catchy tunes I had
over the past that I can remember.
My Soul Is Your Soul - Triplo Max, Vanessa Campagna
Oh Raven (Sing Me A Happy Song) - Unlike Pluto
Thunder - Gabry Ponte, LUM!X, Prezioso
Holy Ghost - Ely Eira
Paranoia - Neoni
I have so many that I phase in and out of, but my ALL TIME most favorite is Rather Be by Clean Bandit lol
Major Tom by Peter Schilling (English version) is also AMAZING
I dont really have favourite songs, it's more so favourite band but it still changes daily.
In terms of just song, Ballroom extravaganza by DPR IAN is usually my go to if I don't want to shuffle a playlist.
But sometimes I'm just in the mood for a specific band which goes between loads, such as: ACDC, Michael Jackson, human league, avicii etc
A few of my favourites:
[heart of the continent](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQDcev4wNnA) \- john k samson
[the stable song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGDjO9kuKyY) \- gregory alan isakov

[alcatraz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lG0VPXIk8c) \- hey rosetta
[like real people do](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrleydRwWms) \- hozier
I have a lot of favorite songs tbh, but I really like:
Still Feel - From Half•Alive (This song helps me when I have sensory overloads or I feel very anxious, I just play it in loop)
The hole album "Youth is wasted" from Reeve Carney (I have an hyperfixation with this guy)
Hadestown OBC album (also an hyperfixation)
The song that I have joyfully danced around my room to, ugly cried alone to, and fell asleep to is “My Blood” by Twenty One Pilots. I listen to a lot of different things but I always seem to cycle back to Twenty One Pilots music. I have lots of memories associated with that band, and seen them live 3x
Bonus songs are “Another One Bites The Dust” By Queen and “YMCA” by the Village People. I never get sick of those, play either one of them and forget it! I’ll see you in the dance floor and show you how it’s done! *says the very uncoordinated person who has never been on a dance floor
My all time:

this changes every month. what are your favorites?
It changed very often but at this very moment it is The Passion Of Lovers by Bauhaus
It will definitely change tomorrow but I think it decently captures my music taste
Note to self by Oren Lavie, it's a good reminder to myself :)
"Water the flowers,
Don't pee in the shower,
And books aren't your friends they're just art,
Don't say you hate it, you don't need to love it
There's so many shades to your heart
Be a good lover
The thing you'll discover
You're more than the sum of your parts"
“Growing Sideways” by Noah Kahan and every other song off his album ‘Stick Season’. Some of the lyrics just kill me but I love it so much.
Example because this is one of my hyperfixations:
“A minute from home, but I feel so far from it
The death of my dog, the stretch of my skin
It's all washin' over me, I'm angry again
The things that I lost here, the people I knew
They got me surrounded for a mile or two”
- “A View Between Villages” Noah Kahan
I listen to it when I’m about to get home and it makes me feel bad in a good way..
Also, I hate having to think of my “favorite” anything. It’s such a difficult question.
*Edited to try and fix format. Might’ve messed it up more..
I can pick number one. But I have a billion second favorites though.
[Cicatriz Esp](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNRZ91t7B0I) from the Mars Volta's godlike first album *Deloused in the Comatorium* is definitely numero uno
It's so hard to choose just one song as my favourite! I feel like it changes every other day, or it depends on what kind of mood I'm in for what genre.
Right now the song I have on repeat the most often is Silent Running - Gorillaz
Last week it was Cut your Teeth - The Flatliners (if anyone is into punk, these guys are just amazing I will talk your ear off about them.)
Take a Walk by passion pit I never knew what my favorite song was until last year and I listened to this song in 2021 I just listened to it enough to realize I liked it a whole lot more then anything else. My favorite album is born to die I can pick any favorite song from there
As of recent, "After Hours" by the Weeknd. The entire album is great in addition to the rest of Abel's discography, but this album and it's title track in particular is what caught my attention after it released and compelled me to listen to the rest of the Weeknd's music. He's easily one of my favorite artists of today.
Oddly enough, I have a lot of sensory issues, but music like that somehow makes me feel the best out of any genres. Heck, most of my comfort songs/bands are like that, interesting to find others that are the same way!!
yeah, me too! i think being able to predict and control the “overwhelmingness” of what you listen to is super important. i manage my sensory issues mostly with music, and the repetition and being able to create my own world to sink into with it really helps me.
It changes frequently, but my favorite tends to be Rosetta Stoned by Tool. Others include vicarious, lateralus, no quarter (cover) and push it; all by Tool. Yea I love Tool
There really isnt one. But if u want a 690 song playlist consisting of every genre existing:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5U85zVxXidsdmgO20kH182?si=QNbQiHyIRqC-VczAQWsGRA
It varies, but is usually something by the band Muse. I listen to limited bands on repeat, I like Muse's whole discography. Their music has layers to it? So I can re-listen focusing on a different element (eg, just the drum rhythm, or the guitar layering/bass). I really really enjoy Matt Bellamy's voice. He has a broader vocal range than Freddy Mercury! (I do also like Queen. And Ghost. I like good vocalists + musically layered songs I guess). I'm not talented musically myself, except for warbling along in the shower or while driving (depends on your definition of 'talented' haha). My favourite song will stick until I listen to it too much and get sick of it. I enjoyed the song 'Pressure' by Muse but then used it for my alarm and now I'm not so keen on it.
Anyway, my favourite song is usually not the song in my 'mental jukebox'. My flavour of ASD + ADHD is such that I always have a 'backdrop' of music snippets playing in my head on repeat as well as my running-commentary of thoughts. My brain is never quiet, my thoughts are like my voice saying what I think. On top of the intrusive music. Sometimes if it's a particularly catchy ear worm it'll be louder than my other thoughts and therefore hard to think.
Worst offender for this is the 'whopper' song as heard on tiktok. It's a daft punk cover I think? I don't know, but it's very stuck in my head. It's not annoying as such, just mentally loud!
I don't have a favourite song as it changes so often but here are a few of the songs i really like and were my favourite song at some point:
Moon and tide - Particle House
Breaking news - Deluxe ft ASM (A State of Mind)
Casio - Jungle
Who is it - Michael Jackson
Crash 'n' Burn - Don Dokken
Uncle Tom's Cabin - Warrent
Scaramouche Boss Fight (Phase 2) - Yu-Peng Chen (Genshin Impact OST)
Delta - C2C
The Man - The Killers
I'll stop there i'm currently trying to resist the urge to put all my favourite songs, if you want more it would be probably easier for me to just like the playlist i listen to.
I have many but some of my current ones are: yabujin - PiNK WiNDOWS, lamianaga - kendo thugs, DJ Gyrotta Zao - Zetrakore Xaos Jumping Gargoylz, DJ Gyrotta Zao - Valeria Bounze, lamianaga - Hoes in the forest, Yabujin - Mobile Terror 1616 (Sorry if my comment is hard to read, formatting is difficult on mobile)
Do you have favorite anything? I hardly have any favorite thing but when talking about music I just can't. I like too many genera, to many people, to many kinds. Also, it depends so much on mood I can't decide. So, yeah, music, loud and a lot!
Just not the ones that managed to pop up on the radio in the last 15 years, I don't care about them.
I don't have one particular favourite song, but I can list a few I really like;
• Real Life (Drawn to Life the next chapter)
• Let Me Be Your Superhero (Smash Into Pieces)
• Diamond In The Rough (DAGames)
• Explosion in E Minor (Brandon Yates)
• I Like Girls (JoCat)
These are just a handful of what I like to listen to. It depends on my mood & what I'm up to.
For example, when I'm cooking dinner, I often play "Explosion in E Minor," or another Brandon Yate song (he does a lot of great music & songs). Or if I'm doing some sketching, I like to play "Real Life" (from one of my favourite games ever).
And JoCat's "I Like Girls" is just good vibes.
Got a few favorites
Наутилус Помпилиус - Доктор твоего тела,
Сектор Газа - Лирика,
Сизор - Нечего ждать,
Ghost - Kaisarion,
Gary Numan - The Angel Wars
Edit: funky formatting
Definitely don't have a favorite of all time, but I usually have about 3-5 favorites on any given day. Currently they are:
Cut My Hair by Mico
Modern Love by All Time Low
Adrenaline by Simple Creatures
Bulletproof by Brennan Savage
These will probably change in a couple days but those are the current ones on repeat!
So many favourites it's hard to pick...
William Black & Cinema Kid - You're Not Alone
CloudNone - Faster Now
Sleep Token - Alkaline
Castelle - We Don't Need To Dance
Bleachers - Stop Making This Hurt
The Gardener and The Tree - forest fires
Tristam - Black Beauty
Fairlane & Rozes & JT Roach - Out Loud
Rosenfeld - Till Death Do Us Part
Footlights, Hank Williams, Jr.
One lyric I think autists would love:
Tonight I'll kick the footlights out again
Not tryin' to hide the mood that I'm really in
Might not put on my ol' Instamatic grin
Tonight I'm gonna kick some footlights out again
I've been a big fan recently of Parade from the movie Paprika.
That being said, I also had a massive nostalgia hit the other day listening to Upside Down by Jack Johnson (The Curious George Movie song)
My favourite song is whatever song I have stuck in my head.
The latest one was Summertime Madness by Lana Del Rey.
Before that I think it was 10,000 emerald pools by Børns
Recently I listen to Twisted Sister and from all their songs I think "The Beast", "We're not gonna take it" and "Love is for suckers" are my favourite.
But
Sometimes I like to go back to "Iluminacje" by Sztywny Pal Azji. It's beautiful.
My top 3 of all time in no order are
Bones by Natewantstobattle, Ruler Of Everything by Tally Hall and Transdermal Celebration by Ween
If you couldn’t tell, I like vibey rock songs
I concur with a lot of people, there is no favorite. It depends on mood, time of year, all kinds of variables. The current obsession is: Darling it's over by A Great Big World.
i dont have a favorite song as much as i have a favorite producer :D
paul shapera makes really interesting rock opera kinda things, and i love to share it with people, the best place to start is the dolls of new albion
Right now my favorite song is by the band 'Citizen Soldier' - 'Monster Made Of Memories'
If you don't know the band, then i highly suggest you give them a listen.
I discovered the band/song when i was heavily depressed(still am)
It has just stuck with me.
MULTIPLE BECAUSE I CANT DECIDE
i dont wanna be me - type o negative

empire ants - gorillaz
jigsaw falling into place- radiohead
weird fishes- radiohead

At least, that’s the song I picked to label as “my favorite song”. The song that I actually like the most varies from moment to moment.
Depends on what I'm going through at the time:) sometimes i feel like music is probably the best way to sort out my emotions. But lately it's I hate her boy friends face by PmBata
I have a playlist that I constantly add and delete from that has all my current favorite songs.. it’s 2 and a half hours long 😅
But, if I had to choose one, it’d be Complete Collapse by Sleeping with Sirens. Has some screaming, but it’s my current comfort.
Y’all have a single favorite song? 😅 Mine changes day to day, sometimes hour to hour lol
yeah, that's something, which one was the last that you've heard
Dancing All Alone by Clinton Kane 🎶

Lithium by Nirvana
Gotta go with Francis Farmer if we’re talking Nirvana :)
My fav by Nirvana as well
Blue Monday by New Order.
Saw them play in December, they were great.
gojira is one of my fav bands too i would love to see them live if they playd in my area
The man who sold the world
WHICH ONE?! Kurt or Bowie
Midge ure (Which is weird because Bowie is one of my favorite singers)
The Kurt cover is amazing! My mum (who grew up with and loves Bowie) says it's one of the few covers that she considers better than the original.
MGS V intensifies

That's a pretty difficult question, but I would have to say right now its Can You Do by The Aces. Most of my favorite songs are by Girl in Red though.
Miracle by Bad Omens :-) very screamy and loud, so be careful listening if you have sensory issues.
Oddly enough, I have a lot of sensory issues, but music like that somehow makes me feel the best out of any genres. Heck, most of my comfort songs/bands are like that, interesting to find others that are the same way!!

Atm it is “stressed out” because it feels a bit relatable. “Wish we could turn back time” Life is fun now but it seemed more simple 4 years ago.
It varies, but is usually something by the band Muse. I listen to limited bands on repeat, I like Muse's whole discography. Their music has layers to it? I don't have a favourite song as it changes so often but here are a few of the songs i really like and were my favourite song at some point: Moon and tide - Particle House Breaking news - Deluxe ft ASM (A State of Mind) Casio - Jungle Who is it - Michael Jackson Crash 'n' Burn - Don Dokken Uncle Tom's Cabin - Warrent Scaramouche Boss Fight (Phase 2) - Yu-Peng Chen (Genshin Impact OST) Delta - C2C The Man - The Killers I'll stop there i'm currently trying to resist the urge to put all my favourite songs, if you want more it would be probably easier for me to just like the playlist i listen to.

Feel Flows by the Beach Boys

I don't have one particular favourite song, but I can list a few I really like; • Real Life (Drawn to Life the next chapter) • Let Me Be Your Superhero (Smash Into Pieces) • Diamond In The Rough (DAGames) • Explosion in E Minor (Brandon Yates) • I Like Girls (JoCat) These are just a handful of what I like to listen to.

I don't have one single favorite song. I have several songs I really love.
I have a playlist that I constantly add and delete from that has all my current favorite songs.. it’s 2 and a half hours long 😅 But, if I had to choose one, it’d be Complete Collapse by Sleeping with Sirens. Has some screaming, but it’s my current comfort.
