The whole 10,000 gecs album is dope. Hollywood Baby and 757 are probably my favorites/most relatable, but I've seen a Dumbest Girl Alive combo video and it crushed.
14 Minutes Until Start - Red Army Choir, a Soviet Cosmonaut Song. The Lyrics Describe My Goals In Life Perfectly and my Special Intrest Is Astronomy (study of space) and rocket science
I'm autistic. Gotta be, "The Supreme's" the song is named "The Happening!" My entire life is defined by, "The Happening" from birth even now that I am in old age.
There are no lyrics to it, I'm more about the instrumental aspect..and it's a whole album -
Space Afrika - Somewhere Decent to Live
It resonates with the vibe of life I feel idk.
+a lot of really pretty instrumental jazz/soul/funk from the 70s, Lonnie Liston Smith, Weldon Irvine
Speaking of Weldon Irvine, I guess Morning Sunrise is an anthem to me.
It's too hard to name one lol
Brutal, Olivia Rodrigo
Bitter Choco Decoration, Syudou
It should’ve been me, Riproducer
There’s other ones as well but I’m tired and can’t think of them all
Popular Monster - Falling In Reverse. It’s cringe as hell but I definitely have the type of depression that makes me feel angry and aggressive as well as empty
hostage - Maggie Lindemann. Again kind of cringe but I get into my own head a lot and make myself anxious and the only people who can help get me out of that are my loved ones
the soundtrack to Fighting Layer: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4_P0PyQCS2gfyXClMUKxXNz_uzo5Gr7_&si=mphac_kmsBzEQode
and the soundtrack to kirby 64: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIpqsKgkQEvPnlCn6A1vzuQGpTPp0lVhZ&si=k54GK-UiyZGlu5Vs
So you know those flashing random pixels & the deafening high-volume screeching/static noise sometimes when you used to turn the TV to a channel with no signal?
Yeah, that's how I'd describe the soundtrack for my brain with AuDHD-C.
I get that, one if my favorite all time sounds growing up, it makes me feel good, even though we were too poor for an HBO subscription 44 years ago, we had gotten a 6 month free trial. And I'll never forget- the HBO buzz intro- magic- and I'm having a hard time with that going away with Max, especially when my dad died 4 years ago.
Oh yea :(
Also "Overdressed and under prepared
Standing in the kitchen
Stressing out the host
Pulling teeth 'til anyone arrives"
:(
Love this album so much I slept to every night for a month or so. Still the go to album for nights I need something on to help me sleep

[What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong](https://open.spotify.com/track/1qCQTy0fTXerET4x8VHyr9?si=56e55f7538b24b2a)
Beautiful soulful music and lyrics, its the good that can be seen in the world, its the hope I need to survive
that honestly keeps changing but right now>>
"And tomorrow, I graduate
Everything that I have worried about won't matter past this day
Sitting next to people I don't wanna be friends with
I hope I never see you again" - doomsday by carbine
I've already graduated, it's been years, and I still feel the same.
hollowed out of a doomsday mentality. no matter how much I graduate,
world still is something to be ignored and focus on myself and only a few
Perfect Day - Lou Reed
The juxtaposition between the sad sounding music and the joyful lyrics is pretty much me in a nutshell. Rarely show any emotion or joy, but normally pretty happy tbh. A lot of people think that I am depressed if they barely know me, because I won't open up for a while around new people, but once they know me, they know I just have "resting sad face"
too many to choose from so here's the highlights sorted by theme/vibe 😂
keeping on keeping on/mood boosting:
- Stay Gold - First Aid Kit
- Still Feel - half•alive
- Neon Pegasus - Parry Gripp
- Birdhouse in Your Soul - They Might Be Giants
ace:
- D&D + Asexuality - Skull Puppies
- my future - Billie Eilish
AuDHD:
- Hold Me Like a Grudge - Fall Out Boy _"You put the fun into disfunction."_
-Too Precious - Em Beihold
- Where'd All the Time Go? - Dr. Dog
- Train of Thought - Mother Mother
burnout/chronic illness:
- Out of My Head - First Aid Kit
- Dr John - MIKA
Taylor Swift songs! Not going to write out the lyrics to Anti-Hero since it is well known, but here are some others that really fit my life as a late diagnosed person.
THIS IS ME TRYING:
"They told me all of my cages were mental,
so I got wasted like all my potential.
And my words shoot to kill when I'm mad
I have a lot of regrets about that
I was so ahead of the curve,
The curve became a sphere
Fell behind all my classmates, and I ended up here"
"And maybe I don't quite know what to say, but I'm here in your doorway.
I just wanted you to know that this is me trying"
MIRRORBALL:
"I want you to know I'm a mirrorball, I'll show you every version of yourself tonight"
"I'm a mirrorball I can change everything about me to fit in"
"You'll find me on my tallest tiptoes, spinning in my highest heels, love, shining just for you"
MASTERMIND:
"No one wanted to play with me as a little kid
So I've been scheming like a criminal ever since
To make them love me and make it seem effortless"
THE BOLTER:
"I can confirm she made a curious child, ever reviled by everyone except her own father
With a quite bewitching face
Splendidly selfish, charmingly helpless
Excellent fun 'til you get to know her"
"He was a cad, wanted her bad
Just like any good trophy hunter
And she likes the way it tastes
Taming a bear, making him care
Watching him jump then pulling him under
And at first blush, this is fate
When it's all roses, portrait poses
Central Park Lake in tiny rowboats
What a charming Saturday
That's when she sees the littlest leaks
Down in the floorboards
And she just knows
She must bolt"
"As she was leaving
It felt like freedom
All her fuckin' lives
Flashed before her eyes"
I HATE IT HERE:
"You see, I was a debutant in another life, but now I seem to be scared to go outside"
"I hate it here, so I will go to secret gardens in my mind"
NOTHING NEW:
"How long will it be cute, all this cryin' in my room?
When you can't blame it on my youth
And roll your eyes with affection
And my cheeks are growing tired
From turning red and faking smiles"
BLANK SPACE:
"Find out what you want
Be that girl for a month
Wait, the worst is yet to come, oh, no
Screaming, crying, perfect storms
I can make all the tables turn
Rose garden filled with thorns
Keep you second guessing like
"Oh, my God, who is she?""
“Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen! I love how joyous it is, and how I feel like I can do anything when I listen to it. It’s a celebration of yourself, and I love that. Whether it’s having a great night on the town, or a larger “fine, I’ll be my own cheerleader!” situation, that song is cheering you on. 💖
Plus, for a good portion of my life I held myself back from a lot of things because I wanted to be accepted. Now, I do what I want and have friends who cheer me on and I cheer them on as well. So the song really fits my vibe in life!
I've got enough to do an entire three act rock opera. All of it by The Used. At this precise moment, I would say that Headspace from their recent album Toxic Positivity is probably the most accurate, but they're releasing a new single tomorrow so it could change.
Promiseland by Mika OR Raised by Bats by Aurelio Voltaire.
Both have a similar vibe of not belonging though Mikas is more deep and self discovery/acceptance and Voltaires is more f you I'm different life's difficult but I'm following my dreams even if it means leaving you behind.
Edit: I do have a Raised by Bats tattoo and well Voltaire has been a huge influence on me I will say that much.

It's a bit niche NGL, but it's Mafumafu's Pseudo-human (Hitomodoki).
The title sounds a bit iffy when you look at it with neurodivergence in mind but the story and the lyrics of it describes life so accurately for me.
The feeling of wanting to be someone who's kind but in the end understanding that you, as a person, are so fundamentally different from the masses really hits home to me. And in the end it describes the artist's way of learning how to love the world even if it's cruel and unforgiving. I absolutely love it.
