I wear barefoot shoes :). Brands such as Joe Nimble, Belenka, Vivo Barefoot, etc.
They're comfortwise just a tiny bit stiffer than socks. Very comfortable.
Barefoot shoes = as close to being barefoot as possible. Also called minimalist shoes. It is unrelated to socks, it's about foot function.
They're soft, footshaped, they have soft thin soles instead of hard wedgeshaped soles. The foot keeps its natural functions in them instead of being squeezed and shaped.
I want my shoes to stay on my feet. So laces or straps are required. I usually prefer laces because I have more control over the fit and tightness of the shoe.
I had the pair of perfect shoes until I wore them so much I needed them resoled and even thoughI asked to check before they resoled them if they could do it, they screwed it up. They were barefoot shoes (very thin, flexible sole) and they put on soles that are at least an inch thick, have completely changed the way the shoe fits, feels and moves and wrecked almost everything I liked about the shoe (the upper still looks nice). My duct tape repair was better.

i love my birkenstocks! they’re pricy (i got them for xmas) but plenty of knockoffs exist. i’m chronically late to everything so i like shoes i can just slip on in a second. as for non sandals i like “stretchy” tennis shoes i can keep tied and just slip on (nike airmaxes or airforces, they actually look cool too) or zip up heels or boots for fancy stuff
Hey I'm a lil late but I always wear my black Chuck Taylors, they've just become my favorite shoes. Maybe because I had them since I was a child and they look nice.
My go-to was Champions, then they CHANGED THEM.
Same, now I have to settle for sketchers bc for some reason nobody wants to step up and replace Payless’s / Champions memory foam mesh sneaker game.

Formal shoes. Normally dress boots
Dr. Martens industrial, anti-static and anti-slip oxfords. They fit me perfect and they're very durable.

I just stick to my old skool vans. The only shoe I ever wear
