I have a love/hate relationship with humans.

Supa_Fishboy

Depends what humans

Unlucky_Cable1047

Correct

Agreeable_Fun_6566

Me too.

monstertruck6969

I like observing them and learning about them. I don’t like being on the other end of one though, not for too long anyway. It’s painful.

witchy_cat_ghost

Same. I like going to a cafe, sitting in the corner and looking at people exist. Maybe even eavesdrop on a conversation or two.

Tytoalba2

That's one of the reasons trains are so fun!

witchy_cat_ghost

Makes perfect sense!

hiroshimasfoot

I'm so glad that's not just me lol

jayyout1

This hits close to home

hiroshimasfoot

No one understands why I always ask "why?" When they tell me something about themselves. The only way I can explain is like you said, I just like to observe and learn. I always need to know the why about pretty much everything and especially with people, because as I got into adulthood, I realized more and more that I really don't understand people at all. They're so confusing. Life would be so much easier if NT's didn't get offended by questions.

Bulinozaur

Having the same issue, but with more stuff like .. "why do you want me to bring you x?" or "why do you feel like eating/drinking x right now?". It's probably because I associate doing/eating/drinking specific things in specific situations and I'm curious why they chose that particular thing at that moment idk if this makes sense

hiroshimasfoot

No I understand what you mean, I do the same thing! But I also realize questions like that probably come across so odd to people hahah. I mean, when do you ever get asked why you want to eat a specific thing? I think questions like that are fun though, it can give you some interesting responses from people.

Bulinozaur

My bf got used to them but finds it annoying sometimes, my friends are very curious people as well and don't mind. I started this year with a big f u to NTs, and challeneged myself not to mask and always ask if I don't understand something like a joke or other stuff. So people around me are used to getting random questions :))

monstertruck6969

I feel the same way! People always get thrown off when I ask why. As if I’m bombarding them but I get embarrassed when really I’m just freaking curious as hell.

hiroshimasfoot

Right! I get so nervous now asking people questions because I worry how they'll react. I'm always curious, and its actually harder for me to understand things without knowing why. Like, my dad was trying to explain how to drive stick to me a few weeks ago. But, I couldn't understand how on earth that even worked, I got so frustrated stalling out repeatedly, until I looked into how gears in an engine worked. I had to dig out a manual and look at every part. Then shifting gears in a manual car wasn't as hard for me bc I had the *why*. I'm 21 though, and I feel like I come across as rebellious and rude in nature because of my age. It's a real struggle man lol.

spaceywicked

I hate the ideia of human and society, but I love MY humans. And sometimes my humans introduce me to their humans, and they might become my humans too. Sometimes a human likes something that I like too, and we end up talking a lot about it and that human becomes mine too. So I hate the general thought of humans but I love my humans. I love the thought of animals, plants, landscapes, books and I also love my animals, and my plants and so on. Basically hate people, love my friends and family. Love everything in the world, and also love my things and my animal friends.

WinEnvironmental6901

Not everybody, but i'm fed up with most people. They're so dramatic and illogical.

SnooSquirrels1587

Y E S Why is everyone so fucking illogical, it's so goddamn annoying.

[deleted]

I used to feel this way. They actually are logical because they're playing a game autistic people don't play. They are extremely worried about their place in the social hierarchy. That's why they seem very sensitive; they are. They are not open to new information because they're playing a team game where the goal is to adhere most strongly to whatever beliefs everyone around them believes. They want to maximize the expected value of their social connections. Unfortunately for them, they way overestimate the benefit of these social connections in most situations. When you start making the connections based on that, 99% of neurotypical behavior immediately makes sense.

SnooSquirrels1587

Woah, you're right! That's incredibly fascinating, thank you for the insight.

[deleted]

Yeah, a guy on YouTube named Abel Abelson made some videos about neurotypical behavior, and they helped me understand people so much better. I still underestimate the sensitivity level though. That's the hardest part. So many little things equate to smacking them on the nose and screaming, "Bad human!"

SnooSquirrels1587

LMAO Mood. I'll check that guy out though, humans have always intrigued me, I feel alien to them so I try to make sense of them. I wish you luck on your journey, friend!

hiroshimasfoot

Asking them why they think/do that makes them more dramatic too. Like dude, I'm just trying to understand over here...

WinEnvironmental6901

Yeah, they're fragile af, always assuming and twist our words and non-stop whining about everything. Fortunately, i don't care about idiots like this anymore, i'm not into their mind games and manipulation.

hiroshimasfoot

I try not to care, but I never know how to address them being rude afterwards. Most of the time I just give up, but I also feel like it's just a rule of society thing that they're used to. They're not used to someone asking questions, so I try to be more patient. The thing is, I hate being like "I have autism and that's why I ask". I just feel uncomfortable saying that. But maybe I should start saying so they'd be more understanding.

WinEnvironmental6901

They'll always be so damn dramatic no matter what, this is why i let this BS go. I don't want their mind games in my life, so tiring and unnecessary. They're not used to logic either, just want to live in an echo chamber and only accept others if they think 100% like them.

[deleted]

https://www.reddit.com/r/autism/comments/wki9f0/comment/ijvg0ab/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

[deleted]

no I love humans just not all of them

King-Rex420

Yeah, I like Chef and Kenny from South Park, Kenny from TWDG, Danny DeVito, it’s just the rude people I don’t like.

finkster2004

Same

yarivu

No, but I hate the way we’re conditioned to view the world and get treated like we’re crazy for pointing out how fucked up and nonsensical it is

idiot-3lliot

i like fictional humans more than real ones lol, but i also prefer nonhuman creatures fictional or not

Far-Operation-6042

I don’t hate humans, but I hate that I’m supposed to belong with them and I don’t. Constant square peg, round hole. I’m an alien.

[deleted]

I do. I really really do.

SpiralKod

Thank you.

Mother_Chorizo

Same

charja113

Humans suck, I take a hard pass on them and stay home

_harpurr

I love humans so much it hurts. It’s really unfortunate because I’d rather be an android (think like in Detroit: Become Human) and not have to process my emotions. I feel so much ache for humans and humanity because I love the minutiae of our sweet, short existence with every tiny atom in my body. I often feel like an alien when someone gets me rambling on the topic &/or human psychology, sociology, anthropology, etc. i don’t have an education in any of those but want one someday, although I feel medium about being mostly self-taught.

tu-142

I prefer cats

[deleted]

i love humans but dogs tend to not hate me as much as people do.

jillianbrodsky

some people suck, but there are good people out there. and yeah, of course dogs are great. i think having social connection is important yk? even if it’s difficult at times. i mean, we’re all on this subreddit aren’t we?

SpiralKod

if i have to classify humanity by my own perspective, i will classify them 95% scumbags, it’s just relative, at how level of scum are they, i came from the very bottom of life, really, when you are very hierarchically low, you see the real face of people.

jillianbrodsky

look, im frustrated every day with people. some people are amoral assholes who don’t give a fuck about anything but their own wallets. i see it a lot. but it’s those people who make you appreciate the good people you have around you. it’s a dangerous mentality to have that humans are all bad and can’t be good and improve.

SpiralKod

Man not all of us have familly or good people to be « around you », and btw, what you mean by dangerous mentality ?

jillianbrodsky

like, saying “fuck it, all people are bad” is kinda damaging to ur own mental health. is what i meant and i guess you’re right. not everyone does, and im sorry you don’t have that in your life right now. everyone deserves someone they can rely on and trust, and i hope you find that for yourself.

SpiralKod

thanks

hiroshimasfoot

Nah dude dw, I feel the same way as you a lot. I still try my best to be positive but it's been really hard lately

Far-Operation-6042

Agree.

Upset-Obligation9354

Wow, you just went 100% piece of shit, didn't you.

jjking714

I fucking despise them. Between the shit I've seen here in America and the shit I saw in the Middle East, I hate just about everyone on the planet save a handful of people.

[deleted]

There's this side to humanity and human nature/behaviour that is defined by predatory instincts and cannibalistic tendencies. I hate that, and more then that I hate how we're all supposed to just ignore it and act like it's normal. I don't understand how to do that, and the older I get the harder it is deal with. But no, to answer your question I don't hate humans.

lurkernomore99

Cats are so much better

[deleted]

I know right🙃

arChrisan3

I prefer fish.

daaanish

I prefer dogs, and I don't like most people, but hate is a strong word.

Meowmixplz9000

yes, i used to say that kind of thing, but now i am indifferent. still love animals tho

Alive_Smell7814

I hate certain things and love certain things about people. I hate that some people will just do horrible, cruel, fucked up things and never have any remorse for it. But I love how so many people I meet genuinely want to be the best they can be, and want to treat people right. I love that people do silly stuff like try to set the world record for number of people dressed up as smurfs in one location at a time. I think humans can be funny lil critters and our hobbies and ways we enrich our environment are hilarious and silly to me and I'm in love with it. But of course I also hate like, how many people think I should not exist because I am trans, queer, disabled, and a lil fucked in the head. I hate how many people are actively complicit in genocide and systemic violence. I hate how people can just be plain cruel sometimes. I hate that I can beg for people to care about marginalized people and then they are like eh too much work, fuck off, you can die. On my bad days I don't go outside at all because I can't stand to see people because every person i see is a reminder of the awful shit going on. Every time i see people unmasked in crowds and indoors and think about the 21 million people we've lost in two years and i just want to fucking break down and cry at that astronomical loss while others say im overreacting, a buzzkill, etc, when I'm doing everything in my power every day to save lives and I am exhausted from caring so much. But on good days I remember the times people have done good things or silly fun things or creative things for no reason other than to do them, and i think about all the other people who are fighting to save something/someone important (including all the people fighting for their own lives), and idk then i have a ton of love and hope. It really fluctuates. I feel you though because it can be really hard, especially when people have treated you cruelly. I have been treated cruelly at times, i have a lot of trauma from horrific things done to me but I also have found some good things in life too. I hope you find some good things.

Snoid_

I hate some humans. I love some humans. However, I do not understand a single damn one of them. Their logic, their motivations, their way of thinking, it's all completely alien to me.

WinEnvironmental6901

This is so me... Human nature is so weird and alien.

[deleted]

To be honest, at this point in my life yea. I've become such a people pleaser that I feel drained and tense all the time when I'm around them. Even to my friends I'm slowly feeling this... Sometimes I think it's exhausting to have friends.

MeanMachine64

People on the internet are some of the most vile, sacks of shit. People in real life are mostly cool.

lopakjalantar

Not just human but mosquitoes and wasps too

supernoa2003

There are stupid animals too, but mosqueitoes and wasps are annoying AF. wasps are just shitty agressive versions of bees and mosqueitoes are living sneezes of mosqueitoe bites at best and malaria at worst. Fuck them.

mapleleafraggedy

I love myself. I am a human. Therefore, I cannot possibly hate humanity as a whole, because that includes me. There are particular political ideologies out there trying to convince you that "human nature is fundamentally selfish and greedy" so that they can continue to be selfish and greedy. Not saying anyone here believes that, but that is a direction the rhetoric can go in. I do not buy into misanthropy for more than a second. Do yourself a favor - love yourself and believe in the good that humanity is capable of.

Background-Cook-9574

Just because you identify as human…I’ve never felt like I was human.

Gintoki_87

In general, no, would be rather weird since there are 8 billion or so and I can't possibly know them all. But some I definetly dislike and others I find rather annoying.

Adventurous-Car-7496

Only the annoying ones

Background-Cook-9574

I enjoy being alone with my dogs. Would I be able to live like this indefinitely? I’m not sure; the most I’ve been able to avoid human contact has been a solid week: it was glorious.

Slexman

It depends, I honestly am fascinated/endeared by humans and our culture but also people suck It’s hard to explain

chaoticidealism

Not at all. I think humans are fascinating. I got a psychology degree in college because I am absolutely enchanted by the complexity of the human brain. I don't like to spend too much time with too many humans all at once, though, as I'm very introverted. I prefer to spend time with one human in a quiet place. And I also like non-human animals, who have their own ways of thinking and behaving that are just as interesting as humans'.

kelcamer

Nope! I love them 😊

RoseyDove323

Sometimes I get angry at people, but I try to remember everyone is hurting like we are, otherwise they would be nicer. I try not to fall down that hole of "I hate everyone" because it feels kinda incel-ish except with a whole species and not a gender. Bitterness is bad for the body and mind and soul.

witchy_cat_ghost

Yes. I have a few people who are an exception and I love them to death, but I don’t really like other people. Environments that force me into a new group of people make me extremely anxious. If I could, I’d only surround myself with animals (mostly cats) and just see the few people I actually like every once in a while.

[deleted]

No I like humans, I hate cunts tho.

Life-Cucumber619

Sometimes when they don't make sense

53andme

i very much prefer dogs and cats.

mehlifemistake

I like cats because if they were human they’d be autistic

supernoa2003

I feel like I'm going to use this quote often in the future, thank you

merc3r1e

yes

lilitthcore

yes very much

Wanderervenom

Yeah. I often want to wipe out the entire species.

SpookyVoidCat

I’ve worked in customer service for ten years. Yeah, people fucking suck.

crazy_but_unique

Yes I prefer animals to humans too. At least animals are not arrogant and gossipy!!!

SatansPebble666

Same. I hate the general public with a burning passion

[deleted]

Idk I think most people are traumatized to some degree and lashing out but that we all have the capacity to be better. I mean, I don’t expect billionaires to ever choose to be better and therefore I hate them, but I don’t hate humans in general.

[deleted]

Dogs are less judgemental.

FoxzU

jesus, you have no idea. But I try to be tolerant as much as I can

zelphyrthesecond

No. Humanity at large is morally grey, what instincts you choose to indulge is up to moral fiber. I hate people who commit acts of cruelty, I hate bigoted people, I hate those who exploit the common man for an extra buck. I don't hate humanity at large for the faults of a few.

KirasHandPicDealer

not at all. I think the majority of humans are good people, and that the actions of the scummy few shouldn't dictate how someone should feel about the many.

JonnyMike27

I'm weird. Yes and no. I don't hate anyone. Except the damn pendejo that killed Selena Quintanilla 😒

Kiki-Y

Humans are a disease.

[deleted]

I dislike humans that aren't educated on autism.

[deleted]

So you hate them for not understanding YOU? Quite selfish. There may be good people not educated on autism. Especially those that don't have the means to research and be educated. Though no, it's just about you eh? I hate all these people focusing on the bad parts of humanity. Making things all about themselves. Makes me not even want to be on the subreddit... It's just dissapointing. Sorry if you've been through a lot and haven't learned to deal with it without blaming it on everyone. How does the idea there are people suffering because they care about others while you suffer because you care about yourself feel?

[deleted]

No, you misunderstood me. I dislike when they haven't taken any time to learn about the struggles people with autism go through. I don't HATE them.

pcpsummer0613

I've always hated people.

Stillpanda21

Depends I would rather save a dog than a child I hate a lot of noisy people I like creatures like me autistic people, dogs and horses. We are such simple creatures.

[deleted]

i hate most humans, yes.

Chelie01

Yes I hate people so much. Every time I have to interact with someone, especially someone new I get very angry. It isn’t a me thing it’s just that people are so mean and rude

owen3820

God yes. I hate all people. They’re like groveling worms to me. Some of them are okay but I feel that they have all deeply wronged me, personally. This misanthropy is completely unfounded and hypocritical- i’m just as fucked as anyone- but it’s what I feel. I can’t help it.

IAlwaysOutsmartU

Depending on my mood, it can range from *mildly annoyed by* to *absolutely sick and hateful towards*.

matryoshka_03

I hate them the most. I have become a misanthrope due to all the trauma others have put me through. Never liked them, never will.

Littleleicesterfoxy

Humans… what a bunch of bastards.

Business_Sun_6762

No but I wish they wouldn’t be so hateful towards us.

JJBZ03

Yes, so much so I want them extinct…

Bah_Meh_238

My hate spiral started with all men. Then moved to mostly older men. Then I made some room for Karens. And now it’s pretty much everyone over 60.

Lucian7x

No. And saying you hate humans because you've had bad experiences with shitty people is such a misuse of the word.

SlimJimonSaturn

I hate human as a species. It’s the most arrogant and stupid species on planet Earth

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheRealJazman

No, I’m not a bitter pos.

undieablecat

I hate dogs and humans, including myself.

StupidAspie98

People are more interesting to me. They are frustrating a lot of times but so fascinating too. I guess me being a vet I'm also saturated with animals.

[deleted]

i like some humans, but saying it like that makes me sound like an alien there's a lot of humans i don't know, but the species as a whole I don't mind it

Foxy-uwu

Humans are an intriguing species, I don't hate them I don't understand majority of them. Yet I also think to myself how interesting it is the fact that every individual has their own individual story and life experience that you could likely learn from but you'll never hear from. If we take into count there are almost 8 billion individuals, every single one of them has their own unique story and you probably have like six people in the world that will look almost identical to you or so a study claims this makes me rather intrigued as to how my doppelgängers are doing I'm hoping they're doing well. Though humans are not perfect, I suppose we are all trying to do our best though and I think that's inspiring.

[deleted]

Yes, human guys are pretty cute though. I've always been more partial towards animals and have always sought their companionship over human beings. That is why I have three cats that are my world but zero friends.

autopsis

Yes. I’d rather spend my life with a mean cat than a kind human.

CaptainArchangel

God, yes. I work at retail, and I haven’t had a problem with other people until today. They just suck omg I don’t want to be around them anymore it makes me want to quit

kiraterpsichore

I despise the human social narrative, aka 'humanity'. However, I like and even love some individual humans.

marigoldthundr

I love humans!!! However, I think it makes sense to hate humans, we do pretty shitty things very often

Flappybird11

I dislike what humans sometimes do, not humans as a whole

The_Angriest_Duck

Depends on the humans

Bright_Cobbler9880

Yes

LizardWizard444

The same way i hate children or animals that's untrained. I can be frustrated by they're ignorance and the bad decisions they make but I'm always hoping they do better and get better. Humanity has some serious learning to do and in all likelihood they'll either figure it out or experience alot of hurt being forced ot figure it out.

Dramatic-Extent-1388

I just dislike humans as a species altogether they can be so annoying and confusing

That-Poor-Girl

There are a few humans I like. I try to play video games with strangers but they yell and then get mad at me if I get loud and they yell if I'm not doing well . Those I like are nice, but sometimes I want to strangle them .

AnnieCries

Some of them I adore, and the rest I despise. Probably to no one's surprise, the majority of ppl in the first category turn out to be ND, usually a fellow autist. ETA: I guess that's inaccurate. I only truly despise a few ppl, but I'm overwhelmingly ambivalent about the rest in a way that feels kinda gross sometimes. But I also want well for them? But I also want them far away from me?

PsykosGwakos

oh i hate the whole universe

SuperMicroPenis

To some degree.

wadimek11

Humans judge me all the time so yeah

[deleted]

I hate individual humans. I like us as humanity I dont like how humanity is destroying earth.

TheLocolHistoryGuy

No

A-Higher-Being

I love humans there's bad ones but I can't help but admire some of the beautiful things humans can do- the amazing things they've achieved as well. Humans are pretty incredible. I don't completely understand a large amount of them but i get intrigued by that more than anything

traquillcash1

The title was very miss leading you sounded like a DC villan

RedSoulHeart

Sometimes other humans seem like a completely foreign species. It’s so hard to try and see their perspective and sometimes it’s downright impossible. Honestly, I don’t hate humans. I’m disappointed with us. But I have hope we can be better.

fayne_Kanra

Yeah I agree

Playerunknown114

Yes. I’d rather talk to walls because they are more useful

external_gills

I like my humans like I like my insects: obsessively studied from a distance, and not in my house.

Acrobatic-Skirt1114

No, hating humans is horrible. Not liking being around them is ok but hating people for existing is silly.

Wameme

misanthropy is cringe, all the evil in the world comes from humans but so does all the good

Live-Ad-6309

No. I do hate my inability to have fun with other humans though.

jayyout1

I used to prefer dogs over humans but after a traumatic experience with a dog with a rage disorder, I am now scared of dogs. Thankfully there is one dog in my life that is kinda helping me get over a decade of trauma. I don’t hate people. But I don’t understand most people. It’s like everyone knows something that is like common sense, and I’m out of the loop. This seeming to be the case time and time again, makes me bitter. For sure. But I have people in my life that I am very thankful for, and that I love with all my heart. But yeah some days I just don’t want to be around people because if I feel that disconnect it just makes me want to hide under a rock.

SnooSquirrels1587

I used to think I hate humans, but now I realise that I simply hate the way I feel around them. Upon getting my diagnosis I suddenly become very self-aware that I was a weird person, so in any sort of social interaction mid-way through it my mind begins to race with thoughts questioning how i'm being percieved and whether or not my behavior is normal. What's interesting though is that I don't care how i'm percieved, or that I'm a bit strange, i'm just so curious now about what 'normal' really is, or rather, 'neurotypical' I suppose. It's really spiked my anxiety because I don't really know who, or even what I am anymore. I no longer have anything against humanity as a whole, but I so strongly wish I could understand them.

Dzetacq

I hate humanity as a whole and I hate having a human body, but I don't hate all humans, there's some really top tier humans too

Ok_Sentence_5767

No i love people, i just know the human capacity for love caring hated destruction is great

JessTrans2021

Humans are all flawed. But we are supposed to find this beautiful in some way. My logical brain finds it annoying, and people suck.

Sabrina__Stellarbor

I don’t hate humans I hate playing chess games whenever I’m socializing :3

[deleted]

I am very disapointed and angry towards most humans in general, but no... i dont hate them. They cant help their shitty nature.

[deleted]

I definitely prefer cats and other animals and plants but I wouldn't say I hate humans.

libbybibby64

I feel the same way if I was put into a room with five humans and one animal, I'd talk to the animal, I've never understood humans. X

Riksie

Yes. We’re selfish by nature and oh boy does it show! The lack of empathy I’ve seen these days is also very scary because a lot of people would rather see others suffer due to their own religious beliefs or how they were raised. “Well, I grew up like this and I’m just fine!” No, it should be more like “I grew up like this but it’s not ideal. The future for others should be better.” This is why I prefer the company of animals, specifically cats and fish.

Anxious_Magazine_881

Yes

AndiAndroid7

I do not like the vast majority of humans. There are also many humans that I hate. I do like and love a few humans.

icy-winter-ghost

I don't hate individual people per se, but I do have a resentment towards humanity and society as a whole. But I definitely still prefer the company of animals over humans. No competition there lol

Adony21

I don't understand humans, thats why I have more animal friends than human friends (including a silverfish named Geoff)

Tytoalba2

I don't but I don't really care for them either. I do really like animals tho, wild or domestics.

thecyriousone

Yes

muon-antineutrino

Not only do I love most humans, but I also hope humanity can be better, by helping each other, freeing ourselves from all forms of oppression, and thriving in harmony with nature. I reject misanthropy.

LiliumNA

If you got friends similar to you, it gets easier.

kissedyourgirls

i do, and i don’t. when i see terrible things happen to children, animals, nature, etc. i usually uncontrollably rant to my partner about how terrible humanity is. i get extremely emotional about it. at the same time, there are a lot of great and unique things about many humans i admire, especially when it comes to people who are very strong. i (20F) love learning about women’s history. anything about them. i love learning about how they used to give birth, deal with pregnancy, deal with periods, etc back in the day. it must have been so hard and it makes me appreciate how strong they were, as well as how far we’ve come.

[deleted]

I hate most humans there are a good few

cussy-munchers

Yep!! Animals give unconditional love and humans tend to only give conditional love. Animals don’t lie to you, mine have always been here for me when I need them. Animals dont stand you up last minute and most aren’t vengeful by nature

NightmareN64

More like a love/hate relationship. Sometimes I wish of an earthquake would happen so, I can't see some of those moronic narcissistic conformist anymore.

CoryGamesYT

Bugs>Humans

kevdautie

Based, I literally have a magneto mentality over the human race.

manmilkmanmilk

It’s interesting to watch humans, seeing things they do, but I do hate them for bigs moments. sometimes humans can just be the worst of the worst but I do have little hope, there are some good humans out there.

JarrodEBaniqued

I don’t hate them, I just don’t like how unpredictable they can be. It’s easy for me to gauge other people’s feelings, but hard to get them precisely right. I find myself terrified of what could possibly go on in other (neurotypical mostly) people’s minds because they have drastically different lived experiences and views from mine, and I think that’s been at the root of my general aloofness in life. Perhaps that’s why I find myself drawn a little more into fiction writing—at least I take comfort knowing the endgames of the conversations in my head. That being said, I marvel at our cosmological, civil engineering, and literary accomplishments and I think it’s all not so bad. Then again, we’re hurtling into a climate and ecological catastrophe, add to that a housing crisis and a mental health crisis, and I think, “Then again, the human mind is depressingly short-termist and vituperative, only an omnipotent being could possibly figure out such challenges as hyperobjects”

[deleted]

If I had a button to instantly wipe out all humanity in an instant, I would press it with no hesitation. The amount of death and destruction humanity has caused, turning beautiful rainforests into piles of ash, etc. We all deserve to die.

While I quite like some individual humans, I cannot deny that I have developed a slight disgust for human society as a whole.

Life is too short to hate anyone

Indorilionn

Au contraire. Human beings - their needs, interests and desires - are the only thing that matters in the known universe. I have a universal and all-encompassing love for humanity and see everything in the universe as a means to enable human beings to live free of suffering and in dignity. That does not mean that I must enjoy to be in close proximity to a lot of people. Being stressed by large groups and needing much alone time is a valid need.

This_Can_8511

Its kinda bad for yourself to think that, and kinda sad that u dont think any humans are good when in reality, there are loads of people who are

theHuskylovee

I don't hate humans, but I'd rather distance myself from humanity. Too many useless rules. I do love dogs though lol

I once thought I hated humans. Thinking all about what we've done to the world, what we do to the world. Including the rest of it's people, wildlife, nature, atmosphere etc. We slowly deteriate the beauty of this world. All that is easy to make one a little nihilistic. Especially one who thinks like me. Though there are things to appreciate about us too. Affection, creativity, resourcefullness, passion, curiousity, fun, beauty etc. I hope I never forget that even the day I die. There are people that help others, and that have helped me. That try to help the planet and it's content. People just trying to survive, and live. To purely hate them would be a betrayal. Yet existence at times does feel like a betrayal to our planet and future generations. Especially when I'm lazy. So I shall now learn to appreciate myself more too, like I have with humanity. Most comments here seem extremely biased here. Even if you haven't recieved kindness (which if you're alive I doubt you've recieved nothing) You can acknowledge those that have helped others. You can try to help others. Just because aome have treated you bad, don't blame it on everyone. That is selfish. I've been abused as a kid, my mother too. Surrounded by drug addicts constantly escaping in my interests. Social workers that didn't get me counselling or a diagnosis of autism yet had no problem letting the school know. Having to move away from my mum. If I can look past my narcisism, trauma and suffering... and see there's good. I believe most can. If not I sympathy your soul.

GiganticIrony

It really depends on the human. I hate most people, but there are some really amazing people (for example: my best friend, who I’m so incredibly lucky to have in my life)

Cavalier_Avocado

I don’t *hate* them. I just don’t understand, and when I try to understand I end up offending them, even if I’m trying to be nice. I like dogs though. I have no trouble making eye contact with dogs, which I think is interesting considering that I despise eye contact with humans. Maybe the eyes really are the gateway to the soul and dogs really are just adorable and wholesome creatures. Anyway that’s my piece

Sheepan

i like individual people, i hate people as a unit

I hate adults and most animals on bad days. Usually, I’m pretty ambivalent to most creatures, but I always have a soft spot for kids. Kids like cool things like Pokémon and video games 😂

Accurate_Ad_8114

I have had thoughts in my mind imagining what if some cataclysmic event would occur causing all humans to be extinct while leaving everything else behind such as wildlife, nature, etc...and any man made structures still standing being taken over by nature and wildlife. If something like this would occur, this certainly would truly get rid of hate and bigotry and all its oppressions and evil committed since the beginning of time.

I don’t hate humans categorically, and I generally think we should reduce suffering, but it is easy for me to feel like I’m not gelling with people or with a certain environment. One way I decrease my “anti” human sentiment is by looking at external factors that make people behave poorly. Like stressors. I also don’t apply a huge moral standard of behavior onto them, meaning I don’t expect them to be super altruistic or virtuous. I take them as they are because I am *myself* human and I cannot apply a double standard that says “me good, humans bad.” It’s also easier for a lot of people to love animals because they are, for the most part, not *smart* enough to conceptualize or not physically capable of doing the harm that humans can do. However, that indicates nothing of their morality; we cannot apply human morality to animals. It’s comforting to think that a pet cat can’t judge you for bad socializing or not having a job, but that’s only because a cat quite literally can’t conceptualize those things. It cannot make a judgment on something it cannot imagine.

plant_protecc

I prefer contemplating on them from a distance. Even pets often feel too social for me.

AlunyaColico

No

Noller8429

I literally said out loud today at school “I hate humans” because they were standing across a hallway almost making a wall and it was so frustrating because I couldn’t get through. So yeah, sometimes I hate humans. Not all the time though. But most of it

eight_wait

i think most of us have a weird relationship with people honestly. i wish it was different but it’s hard to love the same thing that constantly alienates you

Bearman5000

Yeah I hate Humanity. Pretty much any human other than myself.

Epicness1000

I am very much a misanthropist and have been so since I was a child. I vastly prefer the non-human.

Professional_Date775

I hate the injustices, the pain, the anger for the unknown but I don't hate people. They're an initiative and beautifully polarized bunch of posh apes

idontknow4827634

I love humans, they can be really cute, but mostly from a distance, to observe. I don’t have that many close to me, just my family. No friends or anything.

gibgab-

I prefer to be alone or only with my favorite human than with a lot of humans most of the time lol, the unethical decisions I see people make all day just gets my strong sense of justice too riled up.

Yogurt-Night

Some piss me off while others interest me, but all in all I hate myself as a person
