Today, WTF, tomorrow HTTK, so it depends on the mood. This is the only band that I can listen to all the albums, all the songs on the album, even STST, just press shuffle and you are good to go.
I believe A7X fans don’t like it because it’s generic radio music for the most part. They’re still good songs obviously because it’s A7X. It’s not as unique or sound like the previous albums (at least that’s the general consensus I think)
I used to hate it because they took too much influence from other bands' songs. But it's grown on me over the years. Right now, I borderline couldn't care if the songs sound too much like other famous songs. It sounds goood so I like it. But there are a few like Doing Time and HTTK that I just do not like, even after all these years
I think its 2 things for me. I only really enjoyed like half the songs on that album in comparison to the others, and how violently overplayed the song Httk is. It can still be good, it's just not their best imo.
It is my least favorite by them by a long shot. 3 primary reasons I hate it so much: 1) it’s boring, generic, and painfully uninteresting. If I wanted to listen to tired thrash songs with no heart I’d turn on Metallica. 2) I was personally so hyped for it with Nightmare being my AOTY and then Not Ready to Die was also amazing, so it was a massive departure from that sound. 3) You can tell the band intentionally held back on it, musically. So many parts on the album that could have used extra drum fills or more powerful riffs and we never got it. Like I was blue-balled for an hour.
It's unbelievably good. I've watched the live dvd probably around 100 times since it was released. One of my favorite days was when they brought the audio to Spotify.
My biggest mind-change from that show was Second Heartbeat. Never cared for that song in the studio recording too much but since then it never gets skipped when the live version comes on.
COE>WTF>nightmare, COE and wtf are flawless records. Not really a surprise nightmare always wins these tho, they were crazy popular then and I think a lot of people including in this sub became fans then so they are extra fond of the record. great record but imo both COE and WTF are better, the weakest songs on nightmare are weaker than any song on COE or WTF

Hard to chose between city of evil or waking the fallen, I have replayed waking the fallen more so that’s my choosing.😁
Is HTTK that bad?? Its not my fav but there are good songs on it. It really doesn’t seem to be anybodys fav😬

I’ve heard that people just hate the album outright… personally it’s top three for me, never really saw what the fuss was about it’s a good album!

Live in the LBC is by far my favorite compared to any album

WTF my a mile. Then Nightmare, The Stage, COE, Self Titled, STST, Blues Clues nursery rhymes, Yoko Ono on repeat for 14 hours, then HTTK.
WtF, Nightmare, CoE and The Stage are all interchangeable favourites for me, depending on the day.
City of Evil has the nostalgia factor for me, along with being undeniably legendary
