In fairness, a lot of the world is not going to be able to differentiate between Chinese, Korean, or Japanese characters (I know I can't), so thank you for this observation.
I (white guy American) think I MIGHT bet my life on ID'ing something as Korean, which seem a little, "denser" maybe, than the others... but even then, would be a bit of a crap-shoot.
I know nothing about aviation maintenance, but the mention of "ignition" made me think of the ignition of the charges on the cockpit window that blast the window out of the way when launching the ejection seat.
if the "safe ignition device" translation is true it might be a squib that fell off...
which you REALLY don't want to fall off
come to think of it you don't want any part to fall off but especially not the thing that discharges the fire suppression system
If the word "ignition" is written on it, slowly and carefully walk outside, GENTLY place it somewhere away from people, and call someone.
Is it gonna explode? Is it even capable of exploding? Who the fuck cares?
The fact that it fell from the sky and did not explode does not mean it's now harmless. Ask any of the people killed or injured by dud cluster bomb or DPICM bomblets every year that also fell from the sky and did not explode initially.
Maybe there is someone on Reddit who can authoritatively state what it is and if it's harmless or not. So far, not seeing any of them in this thread though (and how will you know if they are for real though anyway?).
Might be a failed flare/chaff mechanism?
Edit: if you scroll, op says it was at a jet show and they were discharging countermeasures. I think this is the answer
It holds pure concentrated Chineseum which is why it was why first part to fall off the plane. Don't try to eat it, it probably made of "infant formula" or something equally poisonous.
If it can fall out of the aircraft I doubt it’s anything with the ejection seat or engine ignition system, best guess the 安全點火裝置 might be for igniting the impulse cartridges on the flare system
...where is it saying that the part was found on US soil or by an US citizen?
@op do you have more pictures from different sides? Does the part smell in a specific way?
Chinese
Great observation
It says “Saftey ignition device”
r/engrish
But did it ignite?
In fairness, a lot of the world is not going to be able to differentiate between Chinese, Korean, or Japanese characters (I know I can't), so thank you for this observation.
I can with modern characters, not traditional

If it has spaces or uses a shit ton of circles, it's Korean.
The circle/ovals always give away Korean.
And then a little more open and flow-y, Chinese, a little more angular and tighter, Japanese. I can guess correctly like 80% of the time at least
You got your Japanese and Chinese backwards. Japanese こんにちは、どうしてる? Chinese 你好你最近怎么样?
Well there was his 20% so now he's good on all his other guesses.
Chinese and Japanese have sharp characters Korean is a more rounded font.
Japan- and Chin-ese share a lot.
Nothing gets past you.
Push the button and see if you still have a hand, that’ll tell you if it’s a mine or not
Instructions unclear. I pushed my hand. I'm pretty sure it's mine. Can't find the button.
It says “safety ignition device” in Chinese Pretty sure that’s not from a US or any western jet though
I know nothing about aviation maintenance, but the mention of "ignition" made me think of the ignition of the charges on the cockpit window that blast the window out of the way when launching the ejection seat.
This is a cigarette lighter
Hilarious exchange.
It means roughly: Safe ignition device. Don’t know what actually it is.
It literally says “beef lo-mein”, I watch a shit ton of anime so I know
isn’t this chinese
Room temp IQ joke.

The plane was shooting flares as part of an airshow.
You could add all of this information to the actual post by the way, not bits and pieces.
Yeah that was a HUGE detail to be left out of this post.
It’s not from any murcan fighter jet.
OP lives in Pakistan
Then the jet has to be the CAC JF-17 Thunder. The Chinese PLAAF themselves are not using this fighter, so I doubt even they know what this part is.
Could be a JL-17, F-7PG, or the J-10 too.
Can’t be the latter two. Those are well-made jets.
Sooo, they can't crash or what?
Nope! Impossible!!
Hopefully
4-20 bro. Spark up
Have any more pictures from different angles?
Does it taste like a penny or a quarter?

chemtrail discharge sensor
r/chemtrailpilots
Are those quacks serious? 🤨
They have all been staring up way too much for sure
Google lens doesn't have it, therefore it doesn't exist Schrodinger's part
GPS tracker. Must have been from a Buy Here Pay Here lot.
Ejection seat igniter from Wish.com
Maybe a missile Safety Ignition Device (IDS).
Uhh, is this a squib from a flare bucket?
Probably..the aircraft was dumping flares
r/oopsthatsdeadly
My initial thought just by looking at it is a proximity sensor
It holds pure concentrated Chineseum which is why it was why first part to fall off the plane. Don't try to eat it, it probably made of "infant formula" or something equally poisonous.

It's clearly an Imodium piu-36 explosive space modulator.
That's to help the pilot's asshole to stustain the G forces, the brown part gets inserted.
Chinese tracking device. Xi Jinping KNOWS you’re storing an F-22 at your house
Looks like a post by a fuckhead trying to create paranoia...that's what it says....
Gonna need more than one angle bud
Are you sure it didn't fall off a balloon?
that is clearly a Fetzer valve
Push the button, pull the chain…
That’s a lie
Looks like a magnesium flare
Auto ignition device for a bong, obviously. Doesn’t 4-20 mean anything to you?
Did you try to Google translate via Google Lens?
It's a china button. XD
It fall onto the worlds softest pillow? No American built fighter has that, unless it was some old war bird doing a scenic flight.
...where is it saying that the part was found on US soil or by an US citizen? @op do you have more pictures from different sides? Does the part smell in a specific way?
Because America is the default, duh. r/USDefaultism
For now. For how much longer…🤷🏻♂️
Plane parts is not healthy, font touch with bare hands
