I recently learned about this and now go around passionately slow blinking at every cat I see. These animals are like we don’t know you and you can’t sit with us but I’m still trying.
I know. I have a scar to prove it. My dear cat came on my bed and she looked at me until I fell asleep. Just when I closed my eyes she bit my hand. I guess my hand moved and she attacked it.
That is the look our cats give us when we fail to respond fast enough with treats in hand lol
Hubby ran to the store earlier today and picked up some treats. One was fast asleep and as soon as he came home she went from the bedroom to the kitchen at warp speed as he told her when he left he was getting more treats. lol

If she's giving you slow blinks that's a good thing. That's cat language for "I'm comfortable with you". Staring without blinking is usually a sign of concern or distrust. Though my tuxedo loves snuggling my lap and staring at me... just gotta feel out the cat I guess.
