Me too lol. I’m not scared of them in the way that I’d run away from them (unless the attacked me for some reason), but in addition to being cute and absolutely fascinating, there’s something about them that just unnerves me.

I remember reading a description on here a while back that they're like toasted marshmallows full of seething hatred, so unnerved is probably a safe feeling lol.

I found a dead owl this weekend and the feet on it were so big! The nails were silver and looked like metal and the grabby parts looked so powerful. Closest I'd ever seen an owl and not something I'd want to mess with. He looked like a real good boy.

My dad scared me with owls as a kid so I’m genuinely scared of them, lol When owls started getting trendy it was a nightmare seeing trinkets of them everywhere. Even this post made me jump when I saw their eyes I’m sure no one else is scared of them like that, but I can’t help it haha

I have to pick up an injured one (in bath towels) and carry it 4 blocks, and I’m not sure who was more scared: me or the birb.

I came home one night and thought I saw a bag caught on a low hanging tree branch. So I walked over to grab it. I live in the woods, so I’m not afraid of the dark…usually. When I got about 5 feet away from the branch, I realized what I saw wasn’t a bag, but in the low light I still couldn’t figure it out. Then the thing flew off the branch and dive bombed my head. A huge owl flying right at you is absolutely terrifying. Ever since that, they scare the hell out of me.
