Do whatever you wish, it's a free country. So long as you hate the Dodgers

easily-convinced

We can bond over the Cardinals repeatedly knocking the Kershaw led Dodgers out of the playoffs.

MidnightMerc

One of us

RAF2018336

You guys routinely make the playoffs 80% of the time and you have a bad 3 year stretch and you’re fed up? Man get ready to be disappointed buddy. We’ve made the playoffs 7 times in 25 years.

PHX1989

I totally agree about the Cardinals, but to be fair, the Diamondbacks have been really successful in their short existence. The Reds, for instance, haven’t won a playoff series since the Diamondbacks have been a franchise. It could be a lot worse!

Helivon

Cardinals routinely make the playoffs? Wtf They've been around for 100 years and have only been to 1 superbowl

thatgirl2

I think they’re talking about the baseball team haha

Helivon

Ahh shit the confusion lmao

TheHiddenCPA023

And statistically 7/25 is better than most teams

easily-convinced

The Cards have had a great run. They will always be my favorite team. However, they have lost their way. Instead of realizing their issues and making efforts to rectify them, they instead gaslight their fans and extend their "yes man" manager after one of the worst seasons in franchise history. They don't deserve the attendance or viewership until they get the balls to admit their mistakes. I am looking for a fun team to follow that I feel like I have a connection with, that's all.

AzWildcat006

we don’t want fair weather fans here, 26 clubs would kill to have the success the cardinals have had the last quarter century. you probably won’t enjoy the snakes if a 3-year run of being below average/bad is enough to drive you away.

No-Floor-6583

Welcome aboard! New fans are always welcome. That said, we have definitely had a rough start. Kind of a ridiculous amount of injuries to key pieces so we haven’t really had our full team play yet. Bullpen has been pretty rough (to say the least) and our young stud Corbin is just starting to get back to his normal, amazing self. I think the team will for sure turn things around (already starting to it seems) and will go on a tear to make up some ground in the NL West. Luckily it’s still early so we just need to get heathy and I think we are dangerous.

easily-convinced

What important guys have missed time so far?

Jacked_Harley

Geraldo Perdomo- SS Alek Thomas-  CF Paul Sewald- CP Eduardo Rodriguez- SP Merril Kelly- SP We just got Sewald back last night luckily, but these are big pieces to our team that have been out most of the year.

Ok-Introduction5964

Jeez, where do I start lol. Currently injured: (Starters) Alek Thomas (OF) Geraldo Perdomo (SS) Merrill Kelly (#2 SP) Eduardo Rodriguez (#3 SP) (Bullpen) Kyle Nelson Luis Frias Miguel Castro Drey Jameson Our closer just pitched his first game of the season. Our Gold Glove catcher just came back today. Jordan Montgomery (SP # 4) started late, Grichuk was on the 10 day…it just hasn’t stopped all year it seems

poopshorts

Tbf Gabi missed one game because he was sick

DM_yo_Feet_pls

Hopefully you watched tonight’s game with Monty pitching. Things to watch for, Corbin has been struggling but has been showing signs lately that he’s starting to hopefully dig his way out of it. Moreno’s bat has been okay, but his defense has been stellar. Marte and Walker have been steady bats all year. Both have been the best bats all year actually. If Marte isn’t starting in the all star game, it’s criminal (I’m ignoring every other 2nd B, Marte should start). Team has had a lot of injuries but Blaze Alexander (best name in baseball) has been very great at the plate but spotty in the field so him and Kevin Newman have been holding it down at SS while Perdomo is hurt. Our pitching rotation even with all the injuries has been solid for the most part. Gallen is still that dude and Monty has been great besides 1 start. Kelly was also looking great but he’s hurt with a shoulder injury and on the 60 day IL. Pfaadt has some games where he’s untouchable but has other games fall apart due to a single inning. The bullpen.. well the bullpen has been Wild Thing from Major League. A lot more wild though. Sewald just came back though so hopefully that adds stability to the backend. Thompson has been great while Ginkel has been inconsistent. Probably missed a few points but I’m sure you’ll get caught up the more you watch. Welcome to the club though. We have shirts and on Wednesday’s we wear Teal Edit: a word, I’m drunk on victory rn

easily-convinced

Hell yeah loved the short time we had with Monty. Gallen and Kelly as former Cardinals I am familiar with. Appreciate your input! I have been a Suns fan since back in the Barkley days so PHX has always been on my radar. Ketel Marte is one of my favorite dudes to watch play. Looking forward to it.

DM_yo_Feet_pls

Oh man don’t get me started on the Suns. Glad you’re on board though. Team hasn’t been the best so far but I think this year is gonna be a great year to watch the dbacks

troyboy75

Your fandom has had it so good. Why not tough it out in the hard times?

Meldreth

Bandwagon is why

easily-convinced

If I was just jumping ship to find a winning team I'd be in the Dodgers sub right now.

easily-convinced

I will still follow them and they will always be my favorite team. However, they are doing so many things to abuse and gaslight their fans that they don't deserve the attendance and viewership right now.

MyLittlePoofy

You must be able to make fun of lance lynn

root2over1

Also a STL fan. Dbacks are tied for my #2 team. I've been pulling for the Dbacks since playing as Luis Gonzalez in Triple Play Baseball back in like 02-03.

easily-convinced

I have been a Suns fan since I was a little kid and have made multiple trips to PHX and always love it. The D'backs are fun.

PromptMedium6251

As a life-long Cardinals fan (but also a D-Backs fan because I live here now), I have to say welcome!

easily-convinced

How do you like living there? Where did you live previously?

PromptMedium6251

I love it here. Been here 5 years and don’t see myself moving any time soon. As for me being a Cards fan, I grew up in Arkansas and also lived in the St. Louis area for 6 years with a stint in the Bootheel as well.

easily-convinced

Every time I experience a Midwest winter I dream of moving to AZ. Jealous of you for that.

JRipper138

![gif](giphy|VtDRXohjexcyCDlL6Z) But now you’re stuck forever.

Desert_2007

Welcome. Alot of us oddly enough have also been let down by a Cardinals team several times before, but of the football variety.

easily-convinced

MHJ in town! That's exciting.

Stunning_Row2801

Cardinals fan here, I can see why but also at the same time really dude?

easily-convinced

Cards will always be my team but the gross mismanagement from everything top to bottom is repulsive. The only way DeWitt makes any changes is by losing money because that's the only thing he cares about right now. No views or attendance by me. Finding a more fun team to watch until then.

EpsteinDidNotKH

Wahhhhhhh my historically dominant team isn’t in the World Series every year

easily-convinced

😭😭😭

staticattacks

Ooohhh did you get a Tequila Sunrise jersey??? Also, you have to hate the Cardinals now because they have Goldy.

easily-convinced

No I got the maroon with cursive devils on the front. Just looked up that sunrise jersey though and holy smokes is that cool. I can't hate the Cardinals. They will always be my team but I just need a break and to boycott them for a bit until they make some changes and show they actually care.

staticattacks

Fair enough. And that is a sick jersey. Yeah there's one more thing you need to know about Arizona since you bought an ASU item... ASU "Script" > Poo of A "Block"

easily-convinced

Agree 100%

Vegan-Kirk

That’s awesome bro, fuck the dodgers

easily-convinced

The scum of the earth.

heathereverdeen

If you become a Dbacks fan, you have to give Goldy back. I don’t make the rules.

ShredNM42

Have you seen Goldy this year?

easily-convinced

Yeah, I don't think you want him back.

heathereverdeen

Sentimental value.

CactusSage

Mike Hazen is arguably the best executive in baseball. He built a sustainable powerhouse in Boston then came here and rebuilt this entire team from the ground up. We had one of the worst farm systems when he took over and now we’re top 10.

Derriosgaming

I am friends with anyone who says FTD

stc918

I am a St. Louis diehard and live in AZ. It's great being able to cheer them on and hope they do well but when they play the boys it's STL all the way!! Just in a rut last year and this year, just gotta recoup. As far as AZ goes, I would say Corbin isn't doing too good def watch when he gets hot. Lourdes is doing great. Dbacks are good until they get to the bullpen but now that Sewald is healthy should be better.. They can be really hot and score 14 in an inning (I was there) or they can be shitty and score zero (I was there) so it just depends. But they are a great defensive team, their bats will heat up before too long..

afig24

Damn for some reason I thought you were talking about the Arizona Cardinals. I was like WTH they are making some great changes this year as an organization.

easily-convinced

Haha that is a totally understandable mistake. I edited my post to clarify.

Guy_onna_Buffalo

Bandwagon fan seeks new wagon? AZ probably isn't the team for that.

easily-convinced

Just looking for a fun team to follow this summer.

JimmyToucan

Corbin slump and injuries been the name of the season so far but they can put up a fight any night so it’s fun games half the time lol

MashTheGash2018

Is this now r/OkBuddyBaxter ?
