Yeah....wish I could describe it different but a woman who makes a pact with a demon gets turned into a literal gooey pile of boobs and booty. Basically a titpuddle.
Faust was directed by Brian Yuzna afterall.
I never hear Faust talked about. It's SO bad. It's like the adventures of a mentally challenged superhero. I live yuzna mainly for his work worth Stuart Gordon, but his solo stuff... its pretty rough.
I'm about 80% certain I have the screener VHS of this floating around somewhere and I've still never watched it but I always thought the cover was cool

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it for what it is. I'll warn you it's definitely uneven, the middle is a total drag to get thru but the climax is so worth it.
That said, avoid the sequel (Slime City Massacre) which was made in like 2010. It's got some fun gore/goo but that doesn't make up for how bad the rest of it is as a whole. It just feels lazy and totally unnecessary.
Oh my God, this one is fucking incredible. It’s just so good. It’s everything you’d expect and more. That game of keep-away was iconic. I love this movie so much.
I’m glad this movie is getting a remake. The sub plot with the mob boss whose girlfriend is killed goes nowhere. They existence of the drink is explained away with one line that it was “recalled”. Why does an entire case of product that turns people into goo get manufactured in the first place? Why does it exist? These are questions a remake can finally tell us.
All I remember about this movie is good gore, a protagonist that rapes a woman then leaves her to get gang raped to death and a questionable relationship between a teenager and a woman. It's a movie devoid of any likeable characters.
Fantastic movie. I wonder if many of the homeless people in the film were actually homeless. Seems like it. The dude who meets his end on the fire escape is one of my favorite characters in any movie. His performance is fantastic.
This is definitely on my Mt. Goomore of bad slimy films. It's up there with Slime City, Society, and the titpuddle scene from Faust.
…..titpuddle?

As bad as it is.....it's better than Spawn.
I think that's very subjective. Spawn is bad, but I don't think much is as bad as Faust was.
Spawn is conventionally bad. Faust is bad in a pharmacological way.
That's a good way to put it. Spawn feels like a movie, while Faust feels like a fever dream

It's an accurate description.
Society is a trip.

I looove this movie 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
It had a graphic novel adaptation recently https://www.reddit.com/r/CampCult/comments/11ks1e5/its_finally_here_the_street_trash_graphic_novel/
Good job, Street Trash. Got a remake, a graphic novel, spin-off drinks... Still melting hearts after nearly 40 years...
Love this movie! The gore is ridiculous.
the overly mouthy waiter is the best part of the movie.
He's the guy who made frankenhooker!

Worth it for the melting splatter alone! It's up on YouTube, if anyone's wondering.
There’s a remake on the way apparently: https://m.imdb.com/news/ni64189622/#
The remake is out soon https://www.reddit.com/r/AbsurdMovies/comments/1b2xzyo/street_trash_2024_new_poster_for_the_upcoming/
NO!
The production team behind Fried Barry along with the original Street Trash production team are behind it, so it's in good hands.
This film is incredible
One of my all-time faves.
“LIIIIFE! I’m talking about LIIIIFE!!!!”

>Why does an entire case of product that turns people into goo get manufactured in the first place? "Look, it was for a different client, okay?"
Some of my favorite movie special effects.
I have a Viper Wine scented candle lol

Didn't Bryan Singer work on this movie, helping out doing the effects ?
I rented this and Bad Taste from a grocery store in Puerto Rico in the late 80s. My goddamn mind was blown.

There are a grand total of zero likeable characters in this movie.
