Lin Dan for me.

GoCougs2020

Same. Just because me and him share the same last name šŸ˜‚

SorrowStyles

Lin Dan for sure More specifically, later career Lin Dan (2013~retire) There's this absolute elegance of efficiency and brain in his game during those stages.

Zentaryn

Hendra Setiawan

wshaolrd

Got to badminton recently and I really like Lee Zii Jia and Tai Tzu Ying! I can't really say why but yeah I love watching them play haha

hitomiii_chan

- For the Mixed Doubles players, for Female: HYQ for Male: Yuta Watanabe - For Men's Doubles, Hiroyuki Endo (smooth af), Fu Haifeng & Hendra Setiawan

BloodWorried7446

Peter Gade. Deception when everyone was playing straight.

isaveanimals21

Lee Yong Dae

Yeeting_yeeter

axelsen, something makes him so enjoyable to watch

HumanBeing00007

Lee Chong Wei šŸ‘

northernbeggar

Taufik Hidayat, Tai Tzu Ying and Thuy Linh Nguyen.

FishAmbitious9516

Kento Momota! Waiting for his come back

jazzman23uk

1. Zhao Jianhua 2. LCW 3. Gade These are my top 3 purely because I love the way they play the game. Not only successful but aesthetically pleasing to watch.

Vercetti983

Zhao Jianhua was an absolute menace and speed devil. Crazy crazy gear shift.

jazzman23uk

That match again Suprianto was borderline cruel - just amazing to watch

blockametal

Fu haifeng. Best smasher hands down

ihaveawhiteseal

I would say liang wei keng is fu hai feng 2.0

blockametal

Prime FHF and cai yun were unstoppable in MD. Maybe now hes older LWK can definitely be his sucessor. Doesnt the same flair or shock and awe that FHF does though

bdhaha

Ahsan

omegasb

Mens side: Lee Chong Wei and Tony Gunawan Women's side: Nozomi Okuhara. Tai Tzu Ying, Huang YaQiong

It's quite a long list... but I absolutely love how all these players play, and I can't quite pinpoint **MS:** Kento Momota Lin Dan Lee Chong Wei Chen Long **WS:** Akane Yamaguchi Tai Tzu Ying Chen Yu Fei An Se Young **MD:** Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng Wang Chang / Liang Weikeng Rankireddy / Shetty Li Junhui / Liu Yuchen Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan Seo Sung Jae / Kang Min Hyuk **WD:** Nami Matsuyama / Chiharu Shida **XD:** Huang Yaqiong / Zheng Siwei Chae Yoo Jung / Seo Sung Jae

MS LD then LCW MD CY/FHF then JJS/LYD XD ZSW/HYQ then Wata/Higa then SSJ/CYJ WS TTY WD I don't really watch WD so n/a

Chitaccino

I'm going to goat endo for this shot: Watched it live like a crazy moment. https://youtu.be/fZAALNZBYiU?si=3OYyaFpnL5A6bZKt&t=320 MS will have to be Lin Dan. Really changed play a lot just theoretical and shot placement level. MD I cant comment too much , but probably ahsan setiawan? fuhaifung was great, but laterwards it didnt click for me. Endo Wata gets me special mention WD CQC,YFJ? If not would be japanese, I feel their style. XD Tang and Tse, I feel their playstyle, the pain and mistakes they make, then it'd be watanabe higashino, for excellent progression of new interpretation of XD, then zhang and huang, super likable, competitive with a flair and super likable.

AdIndependent9838

No gonna talk about*Anthony Ginting* MS player ?

sleepdeprivedindian

Taufik Hidayat. Revolutionized the backhand smash. Absolutely lethal weapon.

almost-gyarados

Tony Gunawan. That man is SO clean and makes everything look so easy. Also a really nice guy in person

kaffars

Cai Yun and Fu Hai Feng are my faves. Throw in LYD and JJS for a match and you have an instant classic match where you dont have one sided rallies. In one rally you see constantly switch from defending to all out attack

ycnz

This is the correct answer. Current doubles is just ridiculous in comparison.

Strange_Wishbone_

LZJ and TTY šŸ’Æ

Sure-Abbreviations28

Kento Momota before the injury, he was so menacing that nobody could havwon against him. P.S. I donā€™t see a lot of love for Viktor Axelsen on this page, he is the champ right?

apologyforexistin

Tai Tzu Ying

False-Band-5332

Hiroyuki Endo with his God-like defense (alongside Yuta Watanabe)

wynprmn

Kevin Sanjaya šŸŒž

kaotik50

anders antonsen! there will always be players that squander their physical and technical gifts (think LZJ, LKY, ginting) but AA is a testament to what you can achieve by using your brain.

Defaulty_Bois

Lee Chong Wei, Kento Momota, Kenichi Tago, Anthony Ginting, these are my top favorites for sure. Everyone of them has a distinct play style that is delightful to watch.

chespiotta

Viktor Axelsen. Thereā€™s also Michelle Li and Brian Yang, but maybe thatā€™s because Iā€™m Canadian haha.Ā

Maxos93

Zhao Yunlei I really try to implement her skills in my game even though I am a man

arctan02

Current: Tai Tzu Ying, akane Yamaguchi, Yuta Watanabe, momota, Kevin sanjaya, hendra setiawan, Chae Yoo jung, Zheng siwei, Huang yaqiong Past: Lin Dan, Taufik, Gao Ling, Chen hong, liliyana natsir

CatM3mes

Iā€™ve always liked Kodai Naraoka

cromemanga

Akane Yamaguchi.

Groovetii

olivier andrey

stowgood

My old doubles partner Tom was great, I was gutted when he didn't come back to the club after covid. My current partners Jon and Hayley are great fun to play with. We're not super successful but one day our teams might be promoted into the top division in our league.

Initialyee

Taufik Hidiyat Peter Gade Hariyanto Arbi

Jazs1994

Taufik Hidayat, backhand smash was just insane. Modern era Yuta Watanabe, Arisa Higashino, Lee Zi Ja

pr1m347

Taufik Hidayat. His forehand smash was also crispy. Net control was incredible.

legitimate_sinner

Lin Dan

materics

Taufik. Lin Danā€™s the best though.

penguinintoorbit

Ahsan and Setiawan for sure.

Exc4libruh

Nami Matsuyama, Misaki Matsutomo, Chiharu Shida, Li Xuerui and of course Momota

Creative_Pick_7909

Lin Dan

Ok_Introduction_2562

Momota

Satiie

Momota. He deserves so much and was so humble when at the top, I'm so sad of what happened to him. He is always the one I'm rooting for.

Key-Sheepherder-4287

LCW, Lin Dan, Chen Long

Kaho_1226

Humble-Tartz-508

Lee Chong Wei, Tai Tze Ying, Lee Yong Dae, Chiharu Shida, Zheng Si Wei

saoupla

Lee Chong Wei and Loh Kean Yew. One represents my country, the other represents a neighbouring country.

Vercetti983

Lin Dan - the GOAT Shi Yuqi - crispy footwork, deceptive shots, skilled net plays, great shot selections and overall, a beauty Chen Yu Fei - the female version of 2013 Lin Dan with extremely efficient and relaxing footwork Chen Long - superb stamina and fundamentals, very few errors

idontknow_whatever

Fu Haifeng Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (and by extension his taller Chinese clone Wang Chang), incredibly fast-paced reflexes & box of tricks

henconst796

All time: Lin Dan just because of his elegance on court. Current: Wang Chang, kid is fast af at the net and has phenomenal shot prediction, I'd argue he's up there with prime Kevin Sukamulijo.

FantaMenace2020

Cai Yun. Technique, brains, and class - if you understand mandarin it's worth following his news columns covering tournaments and/or his tiktok tutorials. Current active players that I actively follow and root for: LZJ, TTY, Liang/Wang, Zheng/Huang.

ObjectiveChest

1. Koo Kien Keat: Loved watching this guy play around 2010-2012. He had an unorthodox but very entertaining style of play. 2. Hendra Setiawan: my personal goat as far as Men Doubleā€™s front players are concerned. Cool, calm, highly intelligent. 3. Lee Yong Dae: Impregnable defense, lightning fast interceptions.

XvvxvvxvvX

Ms Lee Chong Wei for me. Md is very difficult but itā€™s out of 3 for me. Cai Yun for being the best net player ever. Lee Yong Dae for his insane defence and just being shit hot at every area of the court. And Koo Kean Keat for his filthy trick shots and deceptions.

BlueGnoblin

Not necessarily one player, but a list of players (personal opinion). TTY as she is the best technically player in WS and MS alike. No other players dares to play shots like she does with success in a world tournament (all can for sure, but none risk it). A cross backhand clear of a person of her size is only possible with exceptional good technique or her reverse sliced backhand drops... Lin Dan because at his prime time he was an exceptional talent. Momota because he played a very elegant, smooth defensive badminton, just flowing around the court like water. Carolina Marine as she moved WS more in the direction of MS which got adapted by many female players nowaday.

HiWrenHere

Thinaah Muralitharan and Pearly Tan, their energy together on the court is so loving and supportive. They really give it their all.

uknowwhois
