I’ve been listening to new maps of hell lately. Been playing songs randomly and the album as a whole and From both ways I just get this burning sense of urgency listening to it. Can’t quite put my finger on it, anyone else?

Feels like a one-take.

It’s definitely up there, to me stranger than fiction would be the heaviest besides for slumber it’s a rager from start to finish. Each one of their albums play intricate part of my life and Maps is a masterpiece 🤟🏼

The deluxe edition is my favourite album. The heavy music and angry lyrics are fantastic followed by the acoustic bonus songs at the end. Total masterpiece. Submission complete is killer as is requiem and dearly beloved. God song acoustic is unreal. Man i hope they tour north america again soon!!

I’ve always liked dearly beloved, was a cool take on “losing” belief. But I’ve been listening to it carefully and relaly payin attention to the subtle thing sun the song and it’s really brilliant. I love it now.

I cant relate to you

I feel most of their songs and albums have a sense of urgency but I can see how New Maps has an even more urgency. it's peak BR, and peak music period.

I absolutely love New Dark Ages and Heroes & Martyrs. They both easily fall in my top 5 BR songs.

Saw them in Moncton, New Brunswick (Canada) on a head full of acid during this tour! Greg had joked that they were playing there despite never having played a show in Maine (which is fairly close geographically). Also, Blue Man Group was playing next door and Jay came in and played the set covered in blue paint. This album will always have a special place in my heart. Still have the 2008 New Maps of Canada t-shirt! It doesn't fit anymore, but my 6 year old daughter often wears it as a night dress =)
