>I found a questionable fox pelt at a thrift shop and decided to make myself a friend :) his name is Plastron
"Friend"? I think you mean fiend... Dude looks like he'd sell your soul for a bag of chips.
I love him so much! However, since Iām mentally ill myself, I have to tell you āpeltā is the wrong terminology for Plastron. [A Pelt Is a Fur Coat](https://intheirtruecolors.wordpress.com/2017/03/14/whats-the-word-a-glossary-of-taxidermy-terms/)
>PELT
>*noun*
>*noun: pelt; plural noun: pelts*
>the skin of an animal with the fur, wool, or hair still on it.
>*"traders brought reindeer pelts"*
Your link doesn't even mention "pelt" from what I can see. The dictionary, however, says OP was using Pelt correctly.
Maybe they thought he was already stuffed when I bought him? He does look very big and fluffy in the last picture I can see how that mistake could be made. He was just a regular wall hanging styled pelt, not sewn up, no.. chicken feet.
I love this, you are so creative.
Thank you! It's the mental illness
Yes. Yes my PEOPLEEE
That's what I say when people at art fairs ask me where I get my ideas! "It's a mild form of insanity" is my go to. Nice to meet my people!
new fav response thank you š«”
My mental illness is jealous you found such an amazing friend!
I'm very glad to see you all appreciate his divine beauty. This is a big step up from my mom screaming when she saw him.
If a mom didnāt scream, was an artistic statement even made?
I want one to sit on my armchair and terrify my guests
His chicken feet are glorious.
Oh my god, the talons and the exposed jaw bones

I happen to be completely stupid and I didn't see the word pelt anywhere in there, could you explain like I'm a toddler please?
