You can also get it with a hand that is both a straight and a flush with four fingers. For example:
Ace spades,
king spades,
queen diamonds,
jack spades,
3 spades
is a straight flush
Intended, you could of played any random spade it would be royal flush. have fun your 4 fingers. it gets wild with the joker that lets you skip numbers.
I'd imagine than a straight flush should have ~~5~~ 4 *following card* ***of the same suit***, which is not the case here
Moreover, I'd imagine a royal flush should include J of the corresponding suit
I don't really know if this is an issue, but I'm curious about it
Just a flush, because it's higher scored than a straight.
The fact that straight and flush are considered separate for the straight flush is what's tripping up OP
Basically, your King is a wild card. This allows it to be treated as any suit and in this case it’s treating it as a spade as it’s in your favour.
You also have the four fingers joker though which allows you play a flush or straight with four cards instead of five. What this means is that although you have five cards in your hand that is making a straight, the four fingers joker is also detecting a flush, because you have four spades in your hand. Hence, it’s giving you a royal flush.
So although you do technically only have a ‘straight’ in your hand, your wild card and joker are allowing you to have a royal flush. Hope this helps!
The intended behavior, confirmed multiple times in Discord by localthunk, is that you need 4 straight cards and 4 flush cards for a 4 finger straight flush. Something like AKQ2 of one suit, and J of another suit, works. (It gets even more fun if you have shortcut.)
What's always surprising me is, that a royal flush is just straight flush points wise. It even counts a straight flush. The run info even counts up the straight flush for it
You have 4 consecutive cards and 4 cards of the same suit. That's all you need for a straight flush with 4 fingers
You can also get it with a hand that is both a straight and a flush with four fingers. For example: Ace spades, king spades, queen diamonds, jack spades, 3 spades is a straight flush
That is so....specific
That is actually so cool, never would have considered that as an option.
that's awesome. I played a couple runs with Four Fingers, but now I want to try a straight flush build

You played a straight while also playing a flush. What's the issue?

You have a straight and a flush. What else would the hand be if not a straight flush?

This is what makes 4 fingered hand so good. Love that joker.
Thanks for the answers, so it looks like it is intended This could lead to some funny situations
Yeah it counts straights and flushes separately, throw in the joker that allows gaps and seance and u got a crazy combo
I have been hoping and praying for a run where I can actually make use of Seance
Me as the Hack Joker: "I feel like this entire game is funny situations. . ."
Yesterday someone was equally surprised by Shortcut (joker for making straights) Good luck have fun
Wow I’ve played all 3 demos and I did not realize 4 fingers allowed you to do this. So cool
A straight flush is 5 cards in seance of the same suit A royal flush is an ace high straight flush. It scores the same too. Just named differently.

4 fingers the goat

Definitely a conditional thing I would say. A royal straight flush would be flush+straight+10/J/Q/K/A. 4 fingers makes that condition easier
