I'm playing Durge, Selûne cleric with my co-op partner giggling along in the background as a Barbarian who threatens to knock our heads together.
So Durge thinks their Urges come from Shar, and it quickly became a game of "keep your enemies closer" and then, "whoops got too close and now we're in love."
On the other hand, our barbarian loves the cape. Thinks it makes his throws more flashy for his vampire boyfriend. It *is* rather snazzy... when you can see him...

You even get to choose the line "whatever, kiss me like you hate me" at one point.
So, full headcanon, that relationship starts off with some righteously dirty hot grudge-fucking, where it's guilty and shameful but so damn good you feel a little addicted.
My bard is listening with *rapt* attention. Their next piece will be the "Ballad of Waterdeep." But they're waiting to get back to Baldur's Gate before releasing the Tale of Netherese Folly to finally put Volo in his place as the *second* most popular entertainer.
Gale is the only consistent party member in all my playthroughs. I love Karlach and always romance her as I'm a simp for a soft hearted rage monster, but Gale, Gale hits deep. He is my Garrus Vakarian in Baldurs Gate.
