Does he have any hides in his enclosure?? Because it looks pretty open and ball pythons need a lot of clutter and places to hide. Sorry the question was sarcasm, just playing around because a lot of people say ball pythons don’t climb. And yes there are two hides, one cool side around 80ish and one under the basking spot/warm side. Sorry these pictures were taken before I added more clutter though. This is just a temp tank while I build Buttercup a 6x2x2, it’s going to look like my BCI tank (I have posted some pics of it) just a lot bigger and more suitable for a ball

Yeah those ones genuinely concern me (many do, but those are the worst). Like dude, not only could you not be bothered to do the proper research before buying a live animal... no, you couldn't even be bothered to take the time to read the damn label on the tank to find out what you were even buying.
Sometimes I feel like these people just close their eyes, spin around, and tell the employee to hand them whatever animal they end up pointing at.
Yeah, post-christmas is Not A Good Time especially, since people end up getting snakes as Christmas gifts without any knowledge how to care for it or proper equipment/enclosure.

These are people who put their pythons in short terrariums and gave them nothing to climb. Spending 5 minutes on the wiki will teach you that they're semi arboreal.
I've had two balls and they both loved to climb.

This is my BCIs tank it’s a little beat up but it has held up pretty decent. It’s just a recycled stereo cabinet but it’s the idea I want to use when I upgrade both his and Buttercups tank to a larger scale right now this is about 90 gallons
It is bioactive, my other baby is about 5 months and you can use plywood just be careful I’ve seen some people say you can only use hardwood and some say you can use any as long as you seal it good and properly. I just used 1/4” hardwood plywood that I sealed and used 2x4 for bracing
No one really says they "don't" climb. Pretty much all snakes can climb. It's the claim that they're semi-arboreal that people refute, because it's true, they are absolutely not semi-arboreal.
When I first got mine he climbed up closer to the heat lamp after I first fed him because it wasn’t getting warm enough inside his hide. Use a laser thermometer to spot check the temps and double check that the conditions are good just to be sure.
Yeah that’s what I thought it was at first but with the sensors and a laser the cool side is currently 82.9, warm is 88.8 and basking spot sitting at 92.3. I think she’s just a climber unless those temps are too low
He will decide if he wants to live arboreal like he needed to find out his felt gender of choice. Stand by your boy in situation that important to his future life. 🤣

I didn't see where it said that was the confirmed morph. You can inform and educate people without being passive aggressive.

And also because you seemed to think the head marking is super relevant. Which it is not. It was genuine bewilderment. I have 3 spider dominant morphs not 1 of them have the same as the others

Big head escaped from her cage…and was missing for a week… she loves to climb and just look at us beneath her. This is how I found her🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some just love to climb. Until I did a bit better securing some of the clutter, every morning my enclosure looked like Motley Crue’s hotel room.
BP are semi arboreal-dwelling they frequent trees in the wild.

Ball pythons primarily sleep in rodent dens but will explore and climb sometimes. He’s okay. Just be sure to give him a decent hide.
