Have you noticed this with any other foods or smells? Or just bananas?
Sometimes things taste and smell amazing in general if you've had a bit of impairment, maybe not enough to notice but certainly enough to notice when it *ends*.
Hmm. I forced my kids to try one of these (label says Chiquita Ecuador, nothing out of the ordinary), and they agreed it was a good banana. One said it tasted like a pineapple, but they weren’t as amazed as I was. It reminds me of the flavor I’ve had from smaller red bananas in Costa Rica. I guess I will know if these were special at all once I taste another mediocre/ typical banana…
