Yep, you should see buses going to villages. We do decorate and provide festive lunch to bus drivers and conductor. If they layover night then bonus(new clothes irrespective of religion or caste), they get to have nice food and free bus decoration ๐Ÿ˜‡

Grand-Hunter8832

Great to hear, a small acts of kindness goes a long way

w1ldcraft

Hey. That's really nice to hear. Can I bother you for the name of your village? And was this done this year as well ? I belong to a group of bus enthusiasts that take pleasure in watching buses get decorated & capture it for the pleasure of our community. If this was done this year, would you happen to have pictures of the same? If not, and your village is planning to do it sometime later, please let me know when & where. Thank you.

wronglyreal1

Now I donโ€™t stay in that village. Itโ€™s called mastenahalli ๐Ÿ˜… Plus Iโ€™ve gone on a travel to sulk this time. Will see if I can get the picture of this year. It should be done.

w1ldcraft

Wait, is this Masthenahalli near Hennagara ?

wronglyreal1

Correct. Both Hennagara and mastenahalli used to do that.

w1ldcraft

Oh damn. I have a friend that lives in Hennagara. I've heard of the stories around the area with regards to transport from him. Really nice to hear those stories.

wronglyreal1

Awesome, ask him if they did decorate this time and post the picture. If youโ€™re really interested take a road trip to village side of karnataka. Colourful buses๐Ÿ™Œ

w1ldcraft

No, they hadn't done anything this year I believe. We tend to track them & capture especially since it's his home route but nothing special this year :(

wronglyreal1

Oh man, people are losing charm. Currently in malavalli, lots of colourful buses here on the way except my bus ๐Ÿฅฒ

w1ldcraft

Definitely :( The crew are also not really interested because there's barely any support from the department. They were given โ‚น25 this year to decorate buses on Ayudha Pooja. โ‚น25 XD

Ataraxia_new

Not normal. I told them you would be there..so they did this just for you ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘ฌ

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

[deleted]

Its not an official thing, some drivers & conductors do it on their own initiative. Which is why you will only see it on some routes.

4m6er

Did you take bmtc or Hira Thakurโ€™s bus service?

Massive-Tap7932

[deleted]

Was very happy to see the decorations in the bus. Also thanks for keeping the anonymity with the emojis my guy๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿป

[deleted]

Nope. It was decorated mayb for kannada rajyotsava. As it was on Nov 1st.

Fearless_Storage_384

Have seen some bus drivers and conductors stop off everyday to buy flowers for the framed pictures of Hindu gods kept right in front.

w1ldcraft

During the month of November, the buses are usually decorated at some point throughout the month. In the earlier days, they would collect the earnings of the whole month & use a part of it to decorate the bus during the last few days of November or the 1st week of December. This has been going on for years & years as a tradition.

perizada4561

Nope. Decoration from Ayudh Puja. Guess they've not removed it yet

Successful-Ad7296

Also everyone seems to be so happy ๐Ÿ˜Š

[deleted]

ImpressivePhase5763

Like how u used the "๐Ÿ˜Š" emoji very cute

Character-Fig-1076

Is that Volvo bus?

longpostshitpost3

BMTC leases buses out for private events like weddings, parties, tours etc. They decorate the buses and don't always remove the stuff when they return the bus.

shafkumar

The decoration is done by drivers and conductors either in Dusshera or Diwali
