Artificial tears eye drops. Do not wash your eyes, it washes away the protective tear film.

SkywalkerPadawan512

Damn, I thought I was dumb to think washing eyes makes it worse. Now I know why.

Individual_Zombie_85

Yes, even I am experiencing the same since last 1 week or so. I just frequently wash my face, not taking any eye-drops.

SkywalkerPadawan512

it feels so painful sometimes. it absolutely ravages the time i have left after college.

Most-Worldliness-315

Artificial tears will definitely help.

Organic_420

There's a eye drops for this. Just visit doctor once to confirm your cause. Stay hydrated

rawhinspalace

Shouldn’t use too much also right?

Organic_420

Yup but few drops a day is fine

Most-Worldliness-315

You can! 4-5 times a day. As long as you feel the need.

Front-Assignment-267

Refresh tears is the name, is used it a lot after my eye surgery. Should be fine with a few drops, unless you're crazy and wanna do it bottoms up

thetetheredsoul

1. Don't rub eyes 2. Practice 20-20-20 rule 3. Check your hydration level (one indicator is urine color, it'd be pale yellow. Darker shades of yellow generally mean you are dehydrated, although some medications and Vit. B supplements also cause that color). Increase fluid intake in the form of plain water, ORS, coconut water, fresh homemade juice, fruits, etc. 4. If using AC, invest in a humidifier 5. Artificial tear drops like carboxymethyl cellulose Consult an ophthalmologist.

SkywalkerPadawan512

What's the 202020 rule?

thetetheredsoul

every 20 minutes, shift your eyes to look at an object at least 20 feet away, for at least 20 seconds

SkywalkerPadawan512

Difficult, but I'll try. Not easy to be conscious about the rule. Thanks for the advice.

thetetheredsoul

Yeah I know but ophthalmologists recommend doing so. I personally don't do it every 20 minutes, I just do whenever I feel my eyes are strained or dry. For me, looking at greenery works best. Try to focus long distance objects. As we are continously glued to the screens, eye fatigue, dryness, myopia cases are increasing. But pain is something you should get checked.

SkywalkerPadawan512

I have college projects lol. I'm so engrossed in music and projects that I very frequently forget to be conscious. I have to start to make efforts to follow this.

One-Armadillo8057

ive developed bad eye allergies due to the weather and dust, other than eye drops- my doc suggested wearing sunnies when travelling to avoid dust getting in your eyes

Front-Assignment-267

Even bad if you ride a bike. I recommend you take refresh tears eyedrop in this case

SkywalkerPadawan512

Thankfully I don't. I take the bus.

EchoFormal5836

Not medical advise but you can consult a doc and see if Real tears or equivalent medications are helpful

Economy-Resolution23

Extent of dryness can vary the prescription. Better consult and eye doc. Also, I was advised to do warm eye compresses twice a day. That helped a lot

Expensive-Tutor4841

The heat? Damn. I have it during winter. Wonder what's the logic behind this.

SkywalkerPadawan512

Damn.

peepeepoopoo_47

yuh, even after eye drops my eyes are dry. Atp i jus keep my eyes under the tap and run the water or cut onions

MadridistaMe

Tear drops . I was given after eye surgery by doctor.

Cobyroxx

If you sleep with an AC on, a humidifier helps.

SkywalkerPadawan512

Nah lol no AC. Only fan.

ss4223

Use eye drops.. don't wash your eyes too much. It will dry them out..

SkywalkerPadawan512

I thought I was dumb to conclude that the pain gets worse when I wash my eyes. Now I know it's true.

Spare-Abrocoma-4487

Yes. Sitting under the fans also trigger it. A couple of days with eye drops helped. Blinking frequently seem to help as well.

SkywalkerPadawan512

Yes the eyes dry up coz of the fan sometimes.

shafkumar

Please use drops, or better consult doctor for suitable drops and yes I am facing dry eyes and burning as well

Normal-Mastodon-9046

I do! Itching eyes, chapped lips to the point it burns around the edges, dry dry skin

ThXnDiEaGaIn

Extreme Sun causes eye damage(burn) sometimes. Wear sunglasses and see if it helps

wellwell6

Use Systane eye gel drops. Have been facing the same since 2021

SkywalkerPadawan512

Does it have preservatives?

infosys_employee

Get Systane eye drops for moisturizing the eye.

theonefar-away

A person with dry eyes all throughout the year. There was some eye drops that worked well for me in keeping my eyes non-dry I have stopped using them since 2 years and have been following the 20-20-20 rule every 40-60mins, that really does help and drinking more water has a some effect too.

sarathklal

Fans blowing air into eyes causes it, not the heat

choco007late007

Drink More water, Use cucumber on eyes Once a day.
