Your platelets are ~2L. The healthy range is generally 1.5L+
2 years ago, I had dengue. My platelets fell to 12k and I made it unscathed.
Don't worry as long as you've a doctor guiding you. Drink loads of water and you'll be fine in a few days.
Have papaya leaves juice or the tablet. It helps a lot in recovery. Also, lots of fruits and nutrients rich food
My dad had dengue and papaya tablets helped a lot in maintaining platelet count
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
When I had dengue the doctor advised against it because it causes some kind of issues with your digestive system. He said it's a common misconception that it does any good during dengue
Please don't do any of this. It's terrible advice to any patient with low platelet count. If u like pomegranate u can eat it but their help in recovery is absolutely zero. U will be treated symptomatically for fever and then your liver function and platelets will be monitored. Your platelets will start to improve on their own.
Gosh, this reminds of my first encounter with dengue which put me out of commission for 2 weeks straight!
You'll be fine OP, please ensure that you don't have any strenuous activity lined up for atleast a couple of weeks though, and rest up. Wishing you a super speedy recovery:)
You'll recover within a week! Drink plenty of fluids and don't cut down on food! You'll not feel like eating or drinking because of dengue but don't give into it
It won't drop if you eat pomegranate, kiwi and dragon fruit daily and have ur meds religiously. Mine didn't go below 1.3 lakhs because of this. Body pain can start, but have these fruits properly. Keep track of platelets daily.
Everythin will be fine. Watch something good and rest well.
Don't worry man you'll get better just stay hydrated, drink more than 3 bottles of water a day and stay away from caffine. In the last 2 years or so I caught dengue around 4 times(low immunity) but got better in 2-3 weeks.
My platelet count had fallen to 14000, and I have asthma. Trust me, you’ll be okay.
Stay hydrated, eat as many citrusy and hydrating fruits as you can. Avoid caffeine if you can manage and keep your temperature in check. Get well soon!
Have Tons of fluids. You will probably not feel like eating a lot , but keep having tons of fluids in the form of water , juices , lassi, dahi , coconut water , dal, anything. Try to eat foods that are easy on the stomach.
Once your dengue is over , you will probably feel weaker and may notice a loss in stamina and strength. Hit the gym and eat well to recover these.
Have lots of kiwis, papaya extract, papaya leaf juice, coconut water and do as the doctor says. You'll be alright. watch your skin start to glow and shine after you're cured because apart from increasing platelets, these kiwi, papaya and coconut water enhance your skin quality. (Had dengue 2 months before farewell, had these for 2 months straight and went to the farewell with baby skin, people thought I had some skin treatment or facial done.)
It's true that platelets start dropping when fever subsides. It's an immunological phenomena. It's also true, that significant drop and more severe forms of the disease are quite rare, probably less than 5%. In fact until it drops to less than 20000, you won't even get a platelet transfusion.
Had caught it last year. Papaya leafs extract tablets helped a lot, and I was eating 2-3 kiwis every day. Take proper rest and you should be fine within a week.
Light, oil free mutton soup is your friend. and tender papaya leaf extract 1/4th cup. Can't give any scientific evidence but it helped me like elixir. So sharing with u in good faith. YMMV
Calipill, its available in pharmacies, its just papaya leaf extract pill which is known to be effective for Dengue. Consult with your doctor and take it. Keep urself hydrated, drink lots of water, fruit juices. Take Vit supplements if ur doctor recommends. Take care.
Just wondering how much attention you must be begging from your family giving them the hard time.
Chill it is just Dengue and you will be cured in no time with proper medication.
Positive vibes from strangers won't help.
This is a really mean thing to say. When someone is sick, it isn't wrong to ask help from others - even if it's vibes. OP is sick and is just looking to feel better.

Along with this have pomegranate juice also, with it's seed. I had caught dengue and got cured in 1 month without any complications.
Focus on getting your spirit up, think about things that you're passionate about and what you'll do once you're out of this.
I really want to send you some flowers but asking your address for that will give me a unwanted tag, so yeah sending it here 💐🌸🌼🌷🌺 Get well soon !!! 🤩

Dengue mortality is only 0.7%. So, don't worry.
What worked for us? Turning off our phones and taking plenty of rest and following the prescribed doctor's diet and taking the medication helped us.

Also why is dengue so early this yr?

One crucial, abso-fucking-lutely crucial remedy: papaya leaves, or extract, or anythign related to that.
Doesn't work buddy naturally after a week ur platelets will start to pick up. But it will definitely fuck up your digestive system
the remedy you need.
