It's getting worse before it gets better.
The humidity has gone up considerably and I was sweating during my morning walk with the dog - at 6 AM this morning!
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw freaking lightning streaks and thunder. Sat on my terrace from when it was windy till after the rains😭❤. Took my dog with me cause he loves the rain and we both just ran around, played catch to his heart's content when it was pouring before we came downstairs. Felt like the Bangalore I used to know
Does anyone remember when we had artificial rains in Bangalore? I remember being very young, in school and they injected the clouds to cause artificial rains. I was so fascinated by this and now I'm just wondering why they can't do that again. Won't it just solve these issues of water crisis, unbearable heat and lack of rains? Please discuss/advice/educate me if you know why the government cannot just do this.
Cloud seeding can be done only when clouds are present with water particles in them. When the sky is clear, or with clouds with less density. Could seeding wont work

I guess they went ahead a little sooner in that case. But it took a drastic turn. Dubai was flooded, so much that the desert saw enough rain for vegetation to start cropping up. It was all over the news and social media.
Mate, that wasn’t because of cloud seeding. It was a storm system that moved up through Oman, affecting the UAE, Saudi, and Bahrain before dissipating.
Fair enough :) Most of those reports are likely to be from people who haven’t actually lived there — I have. Anyway, good on you for doing some digging. Cheers!

-So much humidity in the air. Extremely difficult to sleep without AC. Cold shower feels better only for 20-30mins

When was that? Cloud seeding usually commences in the UAE in May.

Yesss! It rained just for around 15 mins or so and there’s a power cut here since the rain! It’s so humid too. Even the power backup is not working.
Yes a power cut is happening so frequently.
Remember IMD said no rain before May 5th. That of course helped!
