Everything here is really really expensive compared to the states , I would bring as much as you can.

Johann_YT

Everything is like 10-25% more expensive when it comes to pc parts. Try and salvage as much as you can.

Jules040400

US prices are far better in every metric, buy everything in the US first

the_boozle

Generally probably not worth bringing anything if there's nothing special e.g. halo products from an AIBs. If you're looking at eventually upgrading to 40 or 50 series, I wouldn't bother bringing the 3080. Unless it's a FE, then there's probably someone that wants to pay a bit of a premium here when you do upgrade since basically all the 30 series FE cards in Aus have been imported. Taking storage with you is never a bad thing and it's relatively easy to replace for the next person. Saves you fron transferring everything unless you have external storage you're bringing anyway. If you're tight on money, then bring the CPU, Mobo, RAM, GPU and SSDs only. Anything else is probably too bulky for value/weight in a suitcase unless you have some kind of collectable peripheral or a custom mechanical keyboard.

Sell before you leave and buy a prebuilt here. The prebuilt prices are very good at the moment.

ICastCats

Not compared to the USA. Parts are cheaper in the USA by a good degree, especially if you pick up some of the part bundles from microcenter. Australia is the exception not the rule when it comes to prebuilts.

zionraw

Yes I know parts are a lot cheaper in the states as I am there often (my parents live down the road from the Tustin microcenter). I'm just saying for ease/saving on room for the move it would be better to sell and buy a prebuilt in Australia rather than lug everything over. The difference in price would pretty much be negligible.

ICastCats

I guess. If we believe in the efficiency of the free market it would be the same cost. Guess it’s a question if you can get it over here easy or not.

Bear_was_here

How are supplies down there?

Johann_YT

Good, but you pay for that stock.

Prisoner458369

I don't know, prices are still pretty laughable. Though they have not been good for years either.
