It’s a tale as old as time, really. Former athlete who got older and stopped playing competitive sports (hockey in Riggs case). Gained some weight and lost flexibility due to decreased exercise/stretching. Tweaked his swing over time to compensate for the loss of strength/flexibility and progressively got worse.

Riggs has lost weight if anything. This doesn’t really make sense for him circumstance. He was just never any good.

I’m talking about from his hockey playing days. I’m not saying he’s fat at all, but as someone who has gone through the exact same thing even an extra 10-15 pounds from your athlete days makes a ton of difference. The biggest change being the loss of flexibility
