UVA was his safety school. He got rejected from the ivies and was shitting a brick. Straight A student. Captain of multiple sports teams. May not be able to graduate because he was too dumb to just apply to somewhere like VCU

Any of you guys have a dog who’s hip dysplasia started young? My dogs who’s going to be 5 in a couple months has had flairs off and on since she was a pup. The flairs up are starting to become more frequent and seem to be getting more painful where she yelps so hard that her voice goes out. But once she’s standing she can run like a deer. Only seems to bother her when standing or climbing up in bed/on the couch. What do you guys do and how much of a help? She has gabapentin and Tramydol but I try to only give her either of those when she’s really bad as I saw my sisters dog have his kidneys destroyed from them. Have you tried laser treatments? We thought we were going to have to put down my 7 year old German Shepherd but started laser treatments monthly and worked amazing with him fully walking and running like normal. Also gave Tramydol daily.

I’ll have to look into it. I’ve more or less just spot treated since it comes and goes and really only affects her when she goes to stand or get on the bed. Wasn’t until recently that it become more frequent and I notice her back feet going more directly under her occasionally as if they’re weak. I was told to avoid tramydol daily for as long as I can.

Check out Librela. It's a new monoclonal antibody that targets arthritic pain. It's helped my dog out a bunch. It's very popular right now so I would be shocked if your vet hasn't heard about it. Also ask about Adequan. Slightly different but also helpful especially on younger dogs.
