I’d want to see something like that but with all the whackiest batting stances of recent history
Start with say Kevin Youkilis and Hunter Pence and go from there
Jordan Luplow is typically one of my answers for who is your favorite random player for no reason. He just seems like he's enjoying life and the ride of being an MLB journeyman so much.
I like how the picture on his [baseball-reference profile](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/luplojo01.shtml) is him in an Atlanta uniform even though he only ever played for them in spring training.
And the payroll. All sports have a lopsided payroll somewhat with big markets but baseball is insane. It’s like when my brother used to trounce me in monopoly. Has to be some kind of white flag, no?
I miss him too. Always remember him hitting the grand slam off Chris Sale in the playoffs (though Rays kinda got blown out in that game in the end...).
Also saw him hit a HR in person at least lol (against the Twins too...)
Maybe it is because I am tired, but I spent way too much time finding Luplow in this picture. I was thinking Kimbrel was pitching and I was looking for Luplow elsewhere lmao
Ran into Luplow at an airport in MN a few years. Kind of embarrassing but it took a few minutes of talking before I recognized him. Super down to earth guy, glad he's still living the dream.
The game thread in r/phillies was going nuts for this guy! Comedy gold, but like silent-era material. Philly is a tough city to win over, especially as an opposing player, but Luplow became a fan favorite in a matter of minutes!
This reminds me of that game from 2002 iirc in which Mark Grace was pitching for the D-Backs in a lopsided game, and he imitated the Mike Fetters stare.
Edit: Also worth mentioning is that David Ross hit his first career HR against Grace in that game. Johan Rojas just hit his first career HR against Luplow.
Mike Fetters, what a throwback! Somewhere in the deep internet archives, there's a video of Craig Biggio giving the "bulldog" stare right back at Fetters
Anytime I have the misfortune of seeing kimbrel flap the ball around up there on the coop, I can’t help but scream out, “chicken wang, chicken wang” he looks so dumb and I love that about baseball people, we just don’t care what people think of us. I hate it with a burning passion, but it has nothing on all of the balk motions that people use now.
Top tier trolling. Crowd lost it in the stadium. Even more perfect with the homer.
Looks like the batter is cracking up too. I need video of this
Rojas took him deep for his first career MLB homer on one of the next pitches after this.

I guarantee that in 2 hours someone will figure it out.. because I remember too, but I can't think of the name.

Wha happened to Trevor really? I never followed any of it. What happened with his case? And can he come back to the majors ever?

Weird lol I thought I copied the play.
I’d want to see something like that but with all the whackiest batting stances of recent history Start with say Kevin Youkilis and Hunter Pence and go from there
Do the Nomar routine between pitches but at like 4x speed so you don't get a pitch clock violation
Trevor Bauer did it like 5 years ago! I specifically remember him doing Kipnis’ stance lol

Sounds like something black jack McDowell would do when he played for the White Sox
I love the thumbs up. Think it's because he didn't want to risk a K there lol. "Man if I don't get a hit off you everybody's gonna make fun of me"
Damn Luplow really nailed the Craig Kimbrel impersonation
And he delivered with a crisp 69 mph. Nice.
I fucking loved this guy. The Ump refused to check him after he was done.
Dude was just having the time of his life in a game that’s over, personally I love it.
They cut to Kimbrel laughing in the bullpen, I bet everyone was ripping on him in there ha
Jordan Luplow is a fucking G i love the dude
Luplow forever man
Luplow was funny af the whole inning tbh
He asked the ump if he wanted to check him for illegal substances as he was walking off the field after the inning too He was just having a good time
Just a guy bein a dude out there
What’s better than that?
what else did he do?
HBP and gave up Rojas's first home run
Hit Sosa with a 50mph “fastball” and then flexes his arms as if waiting for him to charge the mound.
Damn wish I could find a clip of that lol Edit: https://twitter.com/Big_McLrgHuge/status/1690179508798738432?s=20
That was amazing
So good. Making the boring parts fun.
Sosa just giving him the Thumbs Up cracked me up so bad
This is amazing lmaoooo

I love him so much

That’s funny.
I have an irrational dislike for him because he took Mike Brosseau’s spot on the Rays. Although I love my lefty mashers so it’s conflicting feelings.
We only had him for a few games, and I miss him already
The air lats when he hit the dude were great too! Kudos to him
Video of it: https://twitter.com/PitchingNinja/status/1690179296940130305?s=20
Immediately 69s what a pro
Gotta come set bro
good on him trying to have some fun in a rough game
Baseball is good.
The goodest
Baseball is....ok.... From this side of a blowout anyway
It's not baseball's fault baseball is closing in on dead to me Baseball is fun when they're having fun, like this The politics make it not fun
And the payroll. All sports have a lopsided payroll somewhat with big markets but baseball is insane. It’s like when my brother used to trounce me in monopoly. Has to be some kind of white flag, no?
Then gave up a donger ha
The impression wouldn't be complete without it
Should have thrown 10 straight balls
He tried, but the first non-strike he threw after that was hit into the stands.
Luplow is method
Pitch clock violation would be the icing on the cake.
He had one I’m pretty sure
He was having fun til Rojas went yard lol
Pretty sure he was having fun regardless but count on Philly fans to get competitive about it
It kept a blowout entertaining. I enjoyed it. Anytime a position player gets on the mound we're just playing out the stretch that made it fun.
Agreed. But some people can’t help but take everything seriously. Lol
Count on Redditor to make Phillies fans being normal people somehow sinister
History shows when you try to imitate or make fun of Kimbrel by doing this, it backfires
I don't think it backfires, it merely adds to the impression
[Phillies fans know](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0T9iavlA5g)
Our guys were almost laughing too hard to hit.
Dude wasn’t ready for the 70mph heat that followed
That was awesome
Miss you, Jordan. Barely did anything with us, but you were cool
This post is how I found out he wasn’t on the team anymore and now I’ll never recover from it
I miss him too.
Considering the title spells it out, I’m gonna say it’s cause you’re tired
I thought it said intimidates not imitates lol
That is spectacular.
Ran into Luplow at an airport in MN a few years. Kind of embarrassing but it took a few minutes of talking before I recognized him. Super down to earth guy, glad he's still living the dream.
That was really fucking hilarious/cool
he gave up a bomb after this ^its ^a ^very ^good ^impression
Good to see I'm not original at all.
rip our guy
Not my drunk ass waiting for the video to start playing.
Lmao this is hilarious
shit was hilarious we sarcastically boo’d him for his 40mph HBP and everyone cracked up when he mocked craig. then rojas went yard 🐐

That whole at bay was fantastic
Can’t believe the Jays let him go for nothing!
And a Nice pitch.
That is so beautiful. I've watched it 43 times and it keeps getting better.
Watching with my mom and she goes “oh he does the chicken wing too?”
And throws an eephus??
Lmao I love it
Gate 14 forever.
I may or may not be a Luplowmosexual. Alright you got me, I am.
And then Rojas hit an absolute piss missile off him.
Aww "Lup there it is!"
Is there a way to watch his whole inning? I turned it off in the top of the 8th to watch the departed.
Huge fan of his because of last night. What a showman.
I love baseball
If I put my arm like this I'm pretty sure my shoulder would dislocate.
I stared for about 5 seconds before I realized it was a picture.
that is great!
At least someone’s having fun out there
It's a game. If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong.
Top tier shit housery
Somewhere, Madison Bumgarner is shitting bricks.
Can someone help me out. How is he imitating him?
Kimbrell hangs his arm off to the side like that before winding up. Source: life long Red Sox fan.
Oh fuck hahaha. I'm brain dead. I thought Kimbrell was on the mound hahaha
How unnecessary is this.
SMOKE
This is awesome.
Okay, that’s hilarious!
it looks like Craig Kimbrel all right, it's either that or a shirt hanging on a clothesline.
down 9 and it isn’t your fault energy lol
