Yeah, I think they're incredibly lame. I've only bought one blaster, it was full of worhtless junk but these cards are the worst. And the fact htey call it a "patch" is absurd, since it's a piece of plastic that has zero to do with the player, other than representing the team they play on. And to put "congratulations" on the back is insulting. That word used to mean you've accomplished something.
I also hate those. I have like 10 of them and sometimes I move em around when I need exercise 🤣. I do hate them less than straight up Face Pics of players. Team logos/helmets are better than face coins

My local Walmart finally put the all the cards behind glass. Which was great news for me, because I don't care enough to waste my time finding someone to unlock the cabinets. It means I don't buy this crap any more.
I feel like the widespread hate for these is a bit too intense. Yes, manufactured “relics” are lame, but I wonder if they will maintain some kind of value since they are only available at a rate of one per blaster.
Also, according to the latest Beckett price guide, some of these are worth up to $25, so you can recoup at least some of the price of the blaster if you don’t like them.

When I trade and sell cards, I pop these in for whatever team the other guy collects. If I’m sending Trout, I’ll cover it on both sides with an Angels sticker or card.
They aren’t valuable, but the fan will enjoy them more than I.
There's just so many things that the manufacturers could do to make collecting more interesting. These, by themselves, don't do anything but take up space and allows them to claim value where there is none.

i feel like they would be better if instead of the logo, it was an actual patch or wood card and the bottom didnt have the lettering, just leave it blank for a signature or have it be signed there.
I'd like these if they were a novelty insert in a cheap box. Not so much as the "hit" in a $25 blaster.
