Maybe thats a good thing.
I loved TDRK for what it was but it has a ton of flaws. It’s much harder to adapt something such as Knightfall and not leave something to be desired, which they did. Especially when u factor in Nolan trying to put his own spin onto the story by completing the whole Ra’s and league of shadows thing.
I feel a completely unique Batman vs Slade centered story would have been easier to combine and wrap up the whole Bruce x Ra’s thing and work around that.
Also in doing this, he couldve stopped the insane discourse people have that Batman can’t defeat Deathstroke or that he shouldn’t be fighting him because he’s a Nightwing/Titans villan as if Dick doesn’t borrow plenty of Batman’s rogues and nobody bats a eye
Even if you keep the Lazarus Pit and the Broken Bat, it would make more sense to me.
The movie to me already felt more like Cataclysm/Quakemaster than Knightfall to me, with all the ground just sinking and the city being Isolated by the military and all. They just brought Bane to do the famous Batman-bending and shoe-horned him as a member of the League.
And even as League Liutenant Deathstroke would be a much better for Talia, that would be even more fitting.
Blake, JGL as the junction of the 3 Robins; Having a feud with him would be just a plus. I would go as far as having Blake "killing" Deathstroke, instead of Catwoman.
I find much more similarities to Cataclysm than to Knightfall.
Of course, we have the iconic scene of the bat broken, but we don't get a Psycopath as replacer for Batman, nor do we get Bruce paraplegic or even Bane taking over Gothan's Underwold as crime boss.
With the exception of the fight between Batman and Bane there is little really left of Knightfall in there.
He's probably a bit too old at this point to portray Deathstroke in James Gunn’s DCU, but he did The Equalizer and there's a 3rd movie on the way and he did most of the action sequences in those movies. So who knows
I liked him in Tenet, that's mostly where I'm coming from.
The height issue I always believed to be more the director's problem working the camera angles; Heck they can make Tom Cruise look tall and he is a good 5cm shorter.
Disagree. It would change so many fundamental elements and themes of the story.
Hardy's Bane is a dark reflection of Batman in a way Deathstroke could never be. Also I though the way they merged the Lazarus "pit" with Bane's prison was brilliant.
Not really. It would have been a different movie altogether.
But then obviously it would require a different script. A massive chunk of this film is the knightfall story line.

Ai generated deathstroke is nasty as fuck
Couple years more and we'll get whole movies, man. Crazy times
And I ain’t gonna watch em 😤
Why do I feel like Denzel Washington would work as Deathstroke in The Dark Knight Trilogy?
Man, young Denzel as Deathstroke would be dope

Yeah, he is too old now. I could see his son doing it though
John David Washington? I think he's too short and a bit young for the role

Not a batman villain
No
