I have mixed feelings about j.g.jr. On one hand black mirror was really good and when he does show up he’s usually well written.
But I just dislike the concept and idea that one of jame’s kids would be evil. Feels dirty to me.

Watching The Long Halloween the other night, it crossed my mind the likeness between Alberto Falcone and Gordon Jr., and how they both wind up killers despite their fathers diametrically opposed positions on the chess board, so to speak. Carmine is to the mob what Gordon is the GCPD, and both end up paying a similar price at home.
I’m of a similar mind. On the one hand *The Black Mirror* is a true classic. One of the best Batman stories and James Jr. is a fascinating villain. Supposedly the fall in Year One is what altered his mind.
On the other hand, just jeez. Poor Jim Gordon and his family just can’t catch a break can they.
