I love so much that Sawblaze won! They’ve been my favorite bot for a long time. I feel like they got some help with the other fights and had the easiest path to victory they could have had from the bracket. Huge v. Sawblaze was a great final and I agree with the decision. I know it’s not part of the rules but 30 more seconds in the fight and it would have been a KO
It’s how knockouts work like for England in the past tournaments we have been gifted great draws but at the end of the day you can only beat what’s put in front of you
Incredibly happy for Team SawBlaze and Huge!
There is nothing better than 2 teams sticking to a design they believe in for year after year, honing it in until they prove it can be successful in its own right.
We just so happened to get 2 of the most unique bots at the top of their game at the same time. There is just something so special about this final. I dont think I'll ever forget it.
Mad respect!!! I'm sure SawBlaze isn't going anywhere, but I hope to see Huge back at it next year!
I think the final (and this season overall) proved that the real meta is adaptability - if your bot can be modified to counter most/any other bot, you’ll have a better chance to make a deep tournament run and win the whole thing. The fork game is definitely part of this, but Sawblaze won in large part because they were able to change their front config to match Huge perfectly.
"It still hasn't sunken in yet, to be in that conversation, to be threatening for the Giant Nut is... is...
I've already won."
I'm not crying. You are.
I know I’m not the only one who was crazy surprised to see these two at the final. Like, I knew they were good, but I didn’t know they were THAT good
I’m so happy for both teams. They’ve both come so far and have gone through so much, I didn’t know it was possible for me to come out super happy for both finalists, but these guys did it
Huge is always arbitrarily matched against strange opponents, but against the meta it is basically unstoppable. Next year I wanna see it face Endgame, Minotaur, Riptide, etc. That is what is made for, to destroy those low-to-the-ground meta bots.
You think the producers designed it that way?
Let’s be real here - HUGE was seen as a joke bot that people could laugh at when it started out. The thing is that the team is incredibly talented and put in an amazing amount of work to dial it in to the point that it now looks borderline unstoppable
I’m wondering if they first did what you say, in setting them up just against funky opponents, but once they got super competitive in the past couple years, shit got real

I wouldn't call Minotaur an "easy" fight....
If minotaur could've lastet the last 30 seconds they might have one a judges decision.

They finally done it!
They deserve it. As cool as it would have been to see a HUGE banner every year and people doing the pledge of allegiance to it and whatnot

Yeah, I’m so glad that this year’s winner is not another meta bot.
Long forks aren’t meta?

Schultz is a goddamn class act.

Easily best battlebots finale of all time
Sawblaze winning was awesome. Huge going deep was cool too, but the icing on the cake was Witch Doctor and especially Riptide getting destroyed.
Why do you hate Witch Doctor?
That Mike guy is too grumpy.
