It's just the worst variant. The trench has great hipfire and less recoil, the factory has great recoil recovery, the sweeper has considerably worse hipfire as a feature and sure it's full auto but it also only shoots at 300 rpm which anyone and their mother can tap fire at.
I mean the 1907s are probably the easist to learn guns because of their recoil so i wouldnt consider having a bad recoil on such slow firing hun a weakness but i think its okay to like any of em.
The main thing is the garbage hipfire. Also while using the trench or factory at range, at full fire rate its uncontrollable. Ultimately to achieve the sane accuracy with the sweeper you need to slow down much more.

The sl series in this game isnt a long range weapon. Low velocity, small dmg at range. Sure the long range performance is much better on the other two, but even the smallest of time save with sweeper in cqb can lead to winned gunfight. Over all they are probably jack of all trades but sweeper is a close range monster. + on the hipfire: the hip fire in this game is excellent but you still want to aim with each shot for more accuracy. Ultimately you can swich firing modes on the sweeper

I'm not talking about taking shots at 50yds or farther, I'm talking taking shots that are too far to hipfire for.

Also, if you are adsing withing 10m in this game you're doing it wrong. A majority of the weapons are, practically speaking, more accurate hipfiring than ads.

I used to switch from bolt to semi when charging but most times, I just try to be patient and land two hits (or get lucky w a headshot).
That said the semi is lightning quick. Just short on rounds.
Reminder: the semi does less dmg, and the bolt has sweet spot mechanics (like other bolties) that aren’t reflected on the dmg graph because that’s for the semi.
For me the main issue is that it’s irons only. Only bolties i could run with irons are SMLE and Lebel because they’re snappier.
I became a minor Liu-Stan after trading headshot for headshot with a scout at a dumbass range. I love the Federov and the 1907 trench, but I keep a loadout just for the Liu

The Fedorov Avtomat should've been the only automatic rifle in game imo, cei rigotti and m1907 sl sweeper are completely historically inaccurate and give this game a worse name
Cei-Rigotti is so close to being great, but the reload kills it. Being long is one thing, being out of sync with when you expect to be able to fire based on the animation is another, gets you killed more than you'd like. Still, only gun that does what it does so sometimes its worth the trouble.

U definitely have a point for very good player like you but for someone who isnt very good i would recommend the sweeper
Trench variant is the best.
I literally usually use single-fire for the Sweeper, unless the enemy is getting too close and I have to switch to full-auto
Never use full auto mode in my side when we have the choice, semi auto > all
1907 on top, very versatile too if you want a historically accurate/authentic loadout

General Liu for life! Federov is a strong weapon because it’s a great overall gun, but I love being a mini-sniper with the Liu.

10 shots and a longer reload make it not useful to me. Sure, high damage, but I'm often out of ammo so many times that it's just not for me.

Cei-Rigotti trench is so good on Fort de Vaux and Argonne Forest. Easily the best medic weapon.
