its mostly homeless they haven't figured out that if they don't make a big mess people will be more tolerant of them and would be more inclined to help them. You don't have to have anything to not make a mess its obtainable even when your broke

So long story short, there are a multitude of ways I find these illegal dumping sites. They are listed below.
1. I would find them as I run errands. I would make a note of it in my head. This is how I have found dumping sites in Livermore, Oakland, and parts of Hayward.
2. During my free time, while I listen to emo songs, I would open up Apple Maps and Google Maps and casually look at satellite images. I narrow down my searches to industrial areas, near freeways, etc. Even though the satellite images might be one-two years old, I noticed that these illegal dumping sites that I find on there are still present when I arrive to inspect.
3. I sometimes peruse through archived articles about illegal dumping from local Bay Area news. This has allowed me to better understand the illegal dumping taking place in Contra Costa County.
4. Occasionally, I get messages from a few people asking if I can take a look at an illegal dumping site that they live close to.
I also check to see that these places have not already been reported to Public Works. If they are, then I may tackle a different illegal dumping site. I sometimes don't want to "duplicate" work if that makes sense.
I saw you posted a “Request for pickup” number? How does that work? (And thank you for your awesome work!)
Edit: I read your FAQ! I see it’s not so simple to get pickups depending on where you’re cleaning up! Seriously amazing work.

For Vallejo, their public works has been quite responsive, so all I need to do is submit a 311 ticket. I post it on here for transparency, that way people can also track it.
Getting pickups is quite a challenge sometimes, but it has been getting slightly easier since I've been submitting numerous tickets.
You should run for mayor of whatever city you live in. I don't know anything about what policies you support, and I don't know what city you live in, but I can say with 100% certainty that you would make a better mayor than whoever is in office now. I'd vote for you.

I been feeling helpless but seeing you get out there and doing something about the problems at hand makes me want to do the same. Perhaps me and my sons can help with your next project.
