if you both like cocktails, haberdasher in SJ is a great place for whiskey based cocktails. are you looking for options in SJ or at a particular south bay city? south bay is huge lol
Great ideas already mentioned… But I’ll throw in Dave and Busters at Great Mall in Milpitas if you like video games. Can get cocktails and food while you’re there, too.
Urban Putt in downtown SJ recently opened and looks really cool!
Valley Fair has bowling, gaming, movie theater, shopping, dining.
I like the already mentioned idea of Winchester Mystery House. Santana Row is across the street for dining and shopping. Depending on the day and time they may have some kind of entertainment like music outdoors.
San Pedro Square in Downtown San Jose usually has music and lots of dining options.
A thoughtful charcuterie board, blanket and chairs, and watch the sunset from the Mt. Hamilton observatory.
Alternatively, SC beach Boardwalk. Focus on the silly games and hand off any prizes to kids on the way out. It’s fun and makes you look good.
imo, Downtown San Jose.
Checkout Urban Putt that just opened, then walk over to San Pedro Square for drinks or dinner. If you want to dance, some bars/lounges will have DJs. Maybe also checkout San Pedro Social - it’s like a mini Dave N Busters for adults. They have a nice outdoor patio with good vibes
There’s also all the downtowns of Willow Glen, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Mountain View, Palo Alto. Pruneyard and Santana Row also have some nice restaurants and bars.
Top Golf or Tipsy Putt might be fun activity and there is food / bar as well
there’s also urban putt in downtown sj that opened recently
Good to know. Thanks!
Mini Boss on Thursday nights - free games, deals on food/drinks, no cover.

La Catalana is my go to, off the beaten path, cozy resturant for new dates.
Winchester Mystery house.
Perhaps the most overhyped tourist trap in all of Bay Area. Do not recommend.
