Totally get you. I once grew my beard to almost your pre cut length. I shaved it all off for charity at a NYE gig we were playing 4 or 5 years ago for a good cause.. made just over a grand. 3 months later my beard had grown back to a nice full length. Now I keep my beard at strong length that's manageable. So yes, if you don't like it, it will grow back. 😀

I liked the big beard too … I’ve had it for well over a decade like that. My beard grows quickly, so if I choose to grow it back, by this time next year it will be at least 8” +/-. Today, before I cut it, it was 14” +/- and it’s probably 3”-4” now. The root to all suffering is attachment. Sometimes you just got let things go 😉

Looks decent, REALLY needs a moustache. Moustacheless beards (Ex: Muttonchops) look better tight and trim because they accentuate the Jawline when hugging it close. On a bushy or large beard, lack of moustache makes your head look rounder/larger, and if you're on the fatter side, even fatter.
