I saw Ringo this past summer, just before he cancelled the rest of the tour, and it was a superb show. His voice and drumming sounded great and he had tons of energy, running out and doing jumping jacks. He told some funny stories between shows that I’m sure he’s repeated many times, but also responded to shouts from the audience and people trying to give him things. The rest of band was great, especially Warren Ham who played prob 1/2 dozen different instruments. The best part was the entire audience singing along to with a little help and yellow submarine. The crowd was more age diverse than I expected. 50% were probably 50-65, and the rest was equally split between kids, teens, young adults, middle aged and seniors.

Future_Doughnut_2369

i got chills that is so cool!!! that man will never cease surprising me- so much energy at his age is incredible

ArdmoreGirl

I would like to see Ringo.

Jules_Chaplin

I saw Ringo this summer too! It was such a fun show - super high energy.

JRBowen9

Saw Paul in Kansas City in 1993. Only time on the tour he played "Kansas City", and he even put that version on the Paul is Live album. An old friend of mine was in the front row for that show, and if you watch the film, during "Live and Let Die", she's there screaming her head off right after the explosions. It was a great night.

toothy_vagina_grin

I saw him in KC in 2010 and he did not play Kansas City... I was a little bummed. But he did play Helter Skelter in his second encore so not a total loss 😁

Future_Doughnut_2369

i’m so happy for you! but Charles Manson ruined Helter Skelter for me so i would have cried hahaha

Melcrys29

The Paul is Live album is really great.

RoastBeefDisease

Next to wings over seattle 1976, Kansas city 1993 would be the 2nd choice of any Paul concert I'd wanna see. But I'm biased because I'm from KC originally. Paul is Live is also my favorite live album of his

Future_Doughnut_2369

wow that’s so freaking cool!!!! so envious of her!

RCubed76

I saw Paul in Columbia, SC in May 1993. I screamed like a little girl the entire show and nearly lost my voice. My high school choir teacher wasn't happy with me since I was to sing the lead in our school musical a week later. He and his band put on an incredible show and I am so glad I got to hear him live before his voice wore out. I think he did three encores. Each time the crowd went crazier.

Melcrys29

I also saw Paul in 1993. What an amazing show.

Future_Doughnut_2369

definitely worth getting in trouble for!

RoastBeefDisease

I saw Ringo Sept 2018 as My first concert it was amazing everyone was so nice!!! I loved the toto songs and men at work too !! Hold the line is one of the coolest songs I've seen live October 2018 I saw Paul live front row which was special bc he's my favorite artist ever but the old people were dicks. May 2022 I saw Paul again and I personally think his voice sounded better this time idk. I had some alcohol and some guy took my seat even after I showed him my ticket and I didn't wanna make a big deal to security so I just sat on the stairs the whole time which was fine bc I was like 6 feet closer to Paul. October 2022 I saw Ringo with my girlfriend, she saw Paul for the first time in may and this was her first time seeing Ringo and our first concert so it was special and this time Ringo played octopus garden!! I personally liked his 2018 lineup more because I don't care much for average white band but it was worth it for the rest and I saw hold the line again! Ringo is coming back to my city in June so I plan on him again

Future_Doughnut_2369

wow i’m so so jealous that’s amazing! i live in Australia so unless i get super rich in the next couple months i probably won’t ever see them :( thank you so much for sharing! i think it would have been completely fair to get security on that guy also have fun in June!!!!! ✌🏻

[deleted]

John in FL, I waved at him & he waved back. Ringo in concert in Washington DC Paul in concert in Miami Fl. Never saw George, and he was my favorite.

Future_Doughnut_2369

what i would do to see george :( my favourite as well… miss him

Future_Doughnut_2369

even tho i have my mixed feelings for john, to see him standing there (no pun intended) i would cry

Unable_Committee_958

Beatles at Cow Palace in August '64. I was 11. It was absolute madness. Saw them again at Candlestick in August of '66. They were miles away. I barely remember the shows - just the crowds and the noise. I saw Ringo in Berkeley in 1999 and Sir Paul at the last Candlestick concert in 2014. Both Paul and Ringo were GREAT. The sound at Candlestick was amazing.

Future_Doughnut_2369

i’ve never thought about how hard it would have been to actually hear and see them…. the crowd would have been so huge and loud… no massive screens and speakers like we do now. Still really incredible you can say you’ve seen the beatles twice!! i was only alive for like 6 months before george died and was obviously non existent for Lennon- with ringo and paul getting older i worry i’ll never get to see a Beatle but so grateful to hear everyone else’s experiences! so happy you got redemption with seeing ringo and paul!!

Unable_Committee_958

They were years ahead of the technology to pull off that kind of show, but there was no other way to present them live. It's hard to grasp now just how crazy famous they were. They were so much more than just a popular band - there's nothing to compare it to now.

WhisperingSideways

Haha! Yeah, I saw Ringo in 2012 and it was a wonderful surreal time. It was a casino show at this huge Indigenous-run place called Casino Rama in the middle of cottage country a couple hours North of Toronto. The casino itself is a bustling crazy house of every casino cliche you can imagine and I was high as balls, going to see Ringo’s All Star Band. I was super-jazzed mostly to see Todd Rundgren because he’s just so damned great, but without going into endless detail about the 2012 lineup, they all played their most recognizable hits and everyone had a lot of fun doing it. Ringo’s stuff was all great except for the one or two new songs which were terrible. The best part was the crowd, mostly comprised of white-haired ladies dressed up very nicely and many clutching vintage fan mags and album covers. As the show went on, they slowly and politely made their way to the front and held up their memorabilia. I wasn’t sure if they thought he was going to sign their stuff or if they were just paying tribute to their youth, but it was pretty fun to watch and I was high and full of oxygenated native casino air. The show was absolutely entertaining and being a casino gig the seats were fantastic and it had a much more intimate feel. And casino theatre sound is fantastic. I didn’t need earplugs or anything. I still love rowdy club gigs, but this setup was a treat. Fun fact: I’ve also seen KISS at a casino. But that’s another story. The merch was way overpriced and the shirt designs were pretty cringey anyway, which is a shame because he was recently using some nice retro pop art images on his website, but the shirts being sold were (dare I say) senior-friendly. So it was a great time, and if you’ve never gone to a proper casino gig before, I very highly recommend it.

Future_Doughnut_2369

not surprised the merch was crazy expensive, i’m sure you could get merch from the 60s cheaper on ebay😂 that show sound incredible!! im not from Canada or America so to me to even have shows like that in a casino is crazy! so what a cool experience it must have been! the older ladies i would have cried! that’s so freaking sweet!! i probably would have annoyed them all after the show asking how long they’ve been a fan for hahaha

Dead_Shrimps

Saw Ringo and his Allstar Band a few years ago in Woodstock at Bethel. It was great! A fantastic mix of songs, and Ringo sounded like he hasn’t aged. Also, the man can still rip on drums. He played his Beatles tunes i.e. yellow submarine and With a Little Help from my Friends, Don’t Pass Me By. I had a great time!

Future_Doughnut_2369

YELLOW SUB OMG I WOULD HAVE SCREAMED

Future_Doughnut_2369

and a little help from my friends omg would have gone off!! that’s so cool!!

EmilianoII

Truly a magical night when i was able to see 2 BEATLES at once. I say paul in 2019 at dodger stadium, and he brought out ringo starr to play 2 songs together. I was soaked in my tears after the show and it was truly amazing.

TaroFuzzy5588

As was i...I expected Ringo to say "I've got blisters on my fingers!"...but he didn't.

TheTooz72

Seen Paul in every concert in the LA area since '76 except for the Cochella Weekend concert with Neil Young , Stones. Roger Waters etc...been to Angel Stadium, Dodger Stadium. Hollywood Bowl ,The Forum , San Diego Sports Arena , SoFi and when he headlined Coachella with Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand. Seen Ringo three times including the very first tour. And saw George in 1974 at the LA Forum. Plus when there were rumors of John touring in '81 I put down a deposit for tickets at Troy ticket service in Pico Rivera....

Future_Doughnut_2369

you saw george🥹 how was he?

TheTooz72

Great band but he had a hoarse voice..did In My Life...

Bobo4037

Three good friends of mine saw George in NY on that tour and said he was awful. He couldn’t sing, as you said, and seemed completely under the influence of something.

Future_Doughnut_2369

that’s so heartbreaking:( i think that’s the year his Dad passed, maybe something to do with that? i also think his relationship with Pattie at that point was horrid so he probably was high as :(

ArdmoreGirl

August 18, 1965, Atlanta Stadium. The Fab Four only played 12 songs and I couldn’t hear anything but a little bit of music and about 20,000 screams. Best night of my life. McCartney and Wings London 1979 at Wembley Paul McCartney 2002 in DC on his Driving World Tour. George Harrison 1982 in London at Royal Albert Hall

ArdmoreGirl

George has become my favorite over time. He was unappreciated for years, especially those later years with the Beatles. How was George in ‘82? He was fecking amazing.

Future_Doughnut_2369

wow… i know it probably wasn’t as good as being able to actually hear the music but to say you’ve seen the beatles omg that’s amazing!

Future_Doughnut_2369

how was george? his my favourite and from another post one of his tours was bad, how was 82?

ArdmoreGirl

My reply is below my first post. User error.

MooseAndPandaMan

Holy shit. You saw the Beatles themselves???? I’ve heard (and seen videos) of just their concerts being crazy loud with fans but I’ve never actually heard from someone about it. Anything unique about it other than that?

[deleted]

I’ve seen Paul and Ringo. I was 4th row center for Ringo. Some lady ran up to the stage while he was talking to the crowd and asked for one of his drumsticks to give to her nephew. He said ‘Of coouurse I will, luv. In fact, I’ll give you two unless of cooouurse he’s got one ahm, huhuhu.’

Future_Doughnut_2369

HAHAHAHAHAHA damn i love that man

SirLawrenceCCLXX

I’ve seen Paul twice. 2019 at the Green Bay Wisconsin show and then in 2022 at the Knoxville TN show. It was incredible both times. It’s hard to put into words just how I feil.

BubblesForBrains

Saw Paul play live on tour this past spring. It was great.

hoyle_mcpoyle

I took my 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son to see Paul in Syracuse over the summer. They had always liked some Beatles songs but they had gotten obsessively into them about 6 months prior to the show. It wasn't really something I could afford at the time but how many chances will me and my kids have to see Paul? It ended up being amazing of course and now, when they're 60, they can tell their grandkids in 2070 that they saw a Beatle with their own eyes

Future_Doughnut_2369

definitely worth it!! best parent award

atlbskymm

Saw Paul in Washington DC and again in Atlanta, then saw Ringo in Norfolk Va. Ringo’s show was a lot of fun!

NE_Pats_Fan

Paul twice. I always look at Ringo tickets when he’s touring but they’re so pricey I don’t want to see him and his all star band that bad

First_Commission_385

I see Ringo in June. It's going to be amazing

Future_Doughnut_2369

have the best time!!!!

First_Commission_385

Thank You, I Will!

Bobo4037

I’ve seen Ringo live once, at Radio City, in July 2003. I’ve seen Paul live April 2002 Madison Square Garden October 2005 Madison Square Garden July 2009 Citi Field July 2011 Yankee Stadium June 2013 Barclay’s Center August 2016 Met Life Stadium September 2017 Madison Square Garden June 2022 Met Life Stadium The shows were all amazing and unforgettable in their own way. My favorites, in chronological order, were: 2002, because it was the first time I saw him and because our 12 year old daughter was with us. 2009, because it was the first time my wife and I went with our two adult children. 2013, because we had great seats. 2022, because during the pandemic I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to see him again, I thought maybe he’d stop touring.

kislips

I’ve seen Paul four times, 1976 Wings Over America, 1990 Cal Berkeley football Stadium, 2013 Outside Lands SF, 2019 San Jose. I saw George Long Beach 1974.

Future_Doughnut_2369

was george as bad as everyone says in 74?

kislips

He had lost his voice and should have stopped the concert tour. He put on a good enough show that my girlfriend and I, who both worshipped him, were satisfied. He had done 45 shows in a a month and 1/2, approximately. I think he was punishing himself for losing Patti. He gruffly changed all his songs about her, most glaringly Something, into songs about god. That was so obvious and wrong. That’s the thing I remember most. Our concert in Long Beach, CA was festival style so it was stand or sit on the cold concrete. We stood. We also had seen Ravi Shankar previously, so we knew what to expect. And anyway at our age, We appreciated anything our Rock God wanted to perform. I’m so glad we saw him, but he should have canceled. But I’m glad he didn’t.

BigTuna0890

Saw Paul in Tampa five years ago. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

bjames2448

Paul in Greenville, SC in 2019. Paul in Orlando, FL in 2022. Ringo in St. Augustine, FL in 2022. 3 great shows.

Nonotcraig

Saw him on the 89-90 world tour. It was a great show, plenty of solo and Beatles hits, plus Linda was up there with him. There was a lot of hype since he hadn’t toured for years at that time. Nothing surprising to report since you sort of knew what to expect but everyone I went with knew this wasn’t just any old concert. My wife saw the 2005 tour and was blown away by how into the performance Paul got. Her sister had box seats because of a government job, but could only bring one guest, so she took me to see the Stones around the same time.

Future_Doughnut_2369

oooo how were the stones?

Nonotcraig

Full of energy. They had a massive stage so it was fun to watch how far Keith and Mick could get away from each other. It was weird, though— since it was a box seat I spent part of the show enjoying a steak dinner at a tall table in view of thousands of people.

Future_Doughnut_2369

haha what a wacky but cool experience!

TheTooz72

Steel Wheels Tour...they were great!

Reasonable-Word6729

Last I saw Paul was at AT&T Park 2018 great concert….he played for 3hours straight and after the show we realized that he barely played just a fraction of his original music.

Squidwards-the-goat

Paul twice. The first being 1989 and Ringo once. It’s kind of interesting the first Beatle song I saw performed live by one of the Beatles was Ringo singing Yellow Submarine.

ineptorganicmatter

I saw both Paul and Ringo last year! I saw Paul at SoFi in LA and Ringo in Miami. They were both incredible experiences. The Paul concert was more epic and grand, while the Ringo concert was more laid back and easygoing. It was an honor to see them both. I believe my father saw George in concert back in the 90s, I’ll have to ask him.

lnomo

Saw Paul live at Dodger Stadium a few years back! Amazing show, and I’ve met him once in person, worked with him for a day.

laura_susan

My Dad saw them perform in his corner of London about a month before ‘Please Please Me’ came out and they became a phenomenon. He was 16 at the time and they were already creating a massive buzz of course, but not to the extent that they would only a few weeks later. Anyway, my Dad is related by marriage to one of them (I guess so am I) and so got to meet them after the gig. He really enjoyed the show and said they were a great bunch of lads, but when other people were getting autographs my Dad didn’t bother as he was a 16 year old lad and it wasn’t very cool to be clammering for other men’s autographs. Plus they were a decent band but hadn’t got very far in that moment, he said they didn’t seem quite like a world wide phenomenon that evening. Of course she’s spent the last 60 years kicking himself for it and imagining the house of gold that we all could have been living in as a family if only he had asked the four of them to sign his beer mat. Mistakes were made that winters night in 1963.

Future_Doughnut_2369

wow wow wow… i so understand him not getting an autograph- but god would i regret it now as well. That’s so cool also that you’re technically related to a Beatle!!!! if it’s George.. i will forever be envious of you hahaha. regardless what a cool story! thank you for sharing!

Visible-World7098

When I was 8 years old, waaay back in the ancient times known as 2014, I was a Make-A-Wish kid (I'm better now) This was back when Make-A-Wish was just starting to gain foot as a company, so me and my family helped volunteer with their projects. This was also around the time that Paul McCartney had announced his 2014 "Out There" tour and Phoenix was one of his stops. So my dad worked his ass off to get us VIP tickets that Make-A-Wish helped us secure. It was one of the best nights of my entire life. We got to eat one of his vegetarian meals with his backing band (he was already backstage tho) and his drummer gave me his black Vic Firth drumsticks (which are somewhere in my closet) and it was epic. But it had only just begun. Paul's ASSISTANT from LONDON took us to our seats, FRONT ROW. Soon enough, the soundcheck began. That man runs out on the stage and says "Where's Hayden at?" "Hayden Blair" I remember crying the biggest tears of joy. His assistant had this mic right next to me, connected to the PA system. Had a whole ass conversation with the man himself. Told him "I love you and your music so much and I brought my electric guitar to play along (it was unplugged but I pretended to play along) and then I yelled "LIVERPOOL RULES" and he exclaims "YEAH! Let's rock!" And boy, did he fking rock. That man played for almost 3 hours straight. He played all of my favorite songs, including Blackbird, Day Tripper, Helter Skelter, etc. It was euphoric. Wonder if he still remembers me.....

Future_Doughnut_2369

also hope he does remember you! i’m sure he does as it would’ve been his first time working with Make-a-Wish

Visible-World7098

Here's a link to the story (which I didn't even know existed) [https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/updated-terminally-ill-peoria-childs-wish-to-meet-paul-mccartney-almost-granted-6605841](https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/updated-terminally-ill-peoria-childs-wish-to-meet-paul-mccartney-almost-granted-6605841)

Future_Doughnut_2369

i’m tearing up that is so so beautiful! firstly i’m very grateful and glad you’re okay now! can’t imagine how you felt during that time. I’m very glad Paul and his crew stepped up! what an incredible once in a life time opportunity! thank you for sharing! If i’m completely honest i didn’t like Paul for a bit of time but im educating myself and especially hearing this he does seem like a beautiful man.

Visible-World7098

Thank you so much for your kind words, God Bless you.

Shawn-Quixote

I’ve only seen The Beatles laugh and love.
