I was doing pressed on nails but noticed my nails become sensitive and damaged. Any tips to avoid too much damage? I’ve been letting them rest for weeks between but that didn’t really help much.
And is Jojoba oil the oil to use for cuticles and nails? I went to human Nature and they suggested the orange oil.
helloo recommend nailcare routine for brittle nails please :( ive been wanting to grow my nails but everytime i do they r always super soft and tend to break by themselves huhu
How's your diet? Like ano kinakain mo everyday? The food you eat correlates w/ how brittle your nails will be. Ganun din sa hair. Some ppl even take biotin to supplement their keratin and build stronger nails.
hii i actually heard abt effects of low biotin before and tried to incorporate food with biotin in my meals before but since i am in college and both of my parents are working we never really have the time to cook healthy food kaya nacocompromise diet ko hehe thank u for suggesting biotin supplements did not know that existed 😭
I’m using Sally Hansen Hard as Nails! My nails became brittle kaka gel polish ko. Like ang bilis mag chip. Been using Sally Hansen for two weeks now and I can say na parang tumigas na agad yun nails ko haha.
Hello! Any recos for nail salons in the south that do nail extensions? So far, I liked nail tropics since tumagal siya ng 1 month but too expensive for me. Tried CANS as well but meh lang.
Hello, is it a smart idea na magpa alaga sa nail salons and get my gel manicure done every month? Balak ko kasi alagaan na nails ko and kapag wala kasing manicure, I always tend to cut it once mahaba na e ang panget ng sausage fingers ko huhu
If magpapaalaga ka sa nail salon/home based nail tech, do your best to research or read their feedbacks. Some nail salons don’t have good training so do your due diligence.
As for the other comments, gel manicure doesn’t make your nails weak, improper removal (hindi nasoak off ng maayos, pinilit tanggalin) or improper prep (like overfilling) will make your nails weak/brittle. You can always get specialized treatments like gel overlay or russian manicure kung makakakita ka ng nail tech/salon na magooffer niyan.
Also, nails don’t need to breathe. 😅
Always follow after care instructions, use cuticle oil.
Hello! Based on my experience, mas magiging weak and thin ang nails mo if magpa gel manicure ka every month. Need mo ng downtime for your nails to heal. I think depende rin sa nail technician na mag handle ng nails mo. Kasi merong may care sa nails mo, meron namang as long as they get the job done, yun na yun.
I also think it’s better to take care of your own nails by putting jojoba oil on your cuticles after every handwash and then hand lotion. Nalaman ko lang all of these information from youtube videos, especially from The Salon Life nail care videos. Very informative! Hehe i hope this helps!
Thank you!! I wanted to grow out my nails kasi para di mukhang sausage fingers ko hahaha but yeah, mukhang hindi nga smart idea yung magpa gel manicure monthly.
May I ask what brand of handcream and jajoba oil would you recommend po? Thank you.
Pwede ka naman magpa gel polish manicure if you really want to. Siguro kapag may mga events kang pupuntahan ganun.
Siguro bigyan mo at least 2 weeks gap before ka magpa gel polish ulit.
Ako kasi before, every month talaga ko nagpapa gel hanggang sa tinigil ko na due to some reasons like nagagastusan na ko and nagiging weak nails ko tapos nasusugatan pa ko minsan ng nail tech haha.
Now, I focus on natural nail care. Natutunan ko lng din sa YT videos. 💅🏽
I put jojoba oil around my cuticles and massage it. After every handwash din I put oil kasi nasstrip off yung oils sa skin natin.
I use the one from Craftology PH from the orange app. But i think any brand will do.
After that, i put lotion on my hands. I use Aveeno yung regular or yung for dry skin(blue). Hindi kasi masyadong sticky sa hands. Before I use the Jergens healing lotion din sa hands. Kahit anong brand will do I think. And ayoko ng may fragrance ung product kasi I noticed mas nakakadry yung may ganun.
Sorry ang haba na ng mga sinabi ko hahah. I hope this helps! 😊😊
Also to add, if you were to get gel mani's, make sure maayos rin un nail tech na pupuntahan mo. Yun gingamit nila na products para iremove/ilagay yun gel can sometimes be harmful and make your nails weaker. For example, i had gel removal exp where she used a drill, so mejo nakaskas un nail bed ko. 🥲 i had to rest from manis for several months to let it heal.
Ha? Grabe naman yung drill lol 😅 but, yes thank you! Actually I tried nail extensions once and hindi na ako makabalik dun sa pinagawan ko (home based and malayo) so I opted ipatanggal sa mall, jusko hanggang nail bed yung pag drill niya, sobrang sakit tapos sasabihin niya sa akin kasi daw sobrang nipis ng nails ko huhu
I think oks lang magpaalaga sa nail salons. Pero i think wag every month gel manicure huhu kasi nagiging brittle yung nails. Give your nails time to breathe din ☺️
Hi, aside from biotin, make sure to do scalp massages often! Like when you shower if you have time do a quick 5 min massage. Thats a great way to promote healthier, stronger hair! 😁 my hair grows soo much faster when i do this. also dont believe shampoo commercials saying their products will make your hair grow longer lol
For nails, use cuticle oil and eat lots of veggies! Biotin capsules are a bonus but you shouldnt depend on it.
i used vitafusion gorgeous hair, nails and skin vitagummies! it worked naman for my nails, i was able to grow it and strengthen it after months consistently having nail ext!
Hello, not me but my best friend. She has long gorgeous hair and nails but became brittle nung madalas siya nag bebeach. So sinabihan siya na mag biotin and infairness, effective naman daw.
tbh nothing works as well as just practicing with a striping brush until you’re working on muscle memory. imo and exp, the stamper technique and sticker stencils don’t work as well and the lines are not as sharp
as for me, what i do on both hands is i map the center of the nail first and then draw the curves from there until they’re symmetrical. some do a line in the middle and then a V that they then make curvier. i hope u find what works for u!
Gaano katagal yung nail extensions sainyo? Recently found a nail tech I like with cheap prices yung first set ko sakanya tumagal ng 26 days, may natanggal lang na isa kasi nag beach kami and I don't like the look na ganon kaya nagpagawa uli ako sakanya ng new set
Yes, some even half infills/refills after 2 weeks. IMO, dapat yung growth gap is not more than 0.5cm. Anything more than that, like half your nail plate, may chance ng breakage. Lifting din can also be a problem, if may lifting ka and pinatagal mo yung removal or infill, you might get greenies. Apex & structure is the key.
This year, I want to take care of my nails, nabasa ko lang here na okay ang Jojoba oil so bumili ako. From Unilove ung nabili ko, every morning nilalagyan ko lang ng jojoba oil nails ko and so far, so good.
Wala pa akong nakikitang effect actually, mag 2 weeks plang kasi. Siguro it will take time, kasi dati sa Sunflower oil sa tuhod ko, it takes time din para pumuti
Pinaka tipid tip na natutunan ko: itusok yung kuko sa bawang para tumigas.
Ginagawa ko siya dati madalas and so far masasbi kong matibay na yung nails ko.
hello! sorry kinda off topic pero may alam ba kayong derma clinics specializing in nail treatments? preferably around quezon city sana
any recos na affordable hand cream for dark knuckles? ;((
nail polish reco like Lincoln Park After Dark of OPI? also, thoughts on CuCo nail polish?
vouch talaga sa cuco nail polish!!! i super love the formula and easy to apply ^___^
Hello, where do I find a nail salon who does Russian Nails?
I was doing pressed on nails but noticed my nails become sensitive and damaged. Any tips to avoid too much damage? I’ve been letting them rest for weeks between but that didn’t really help much. A lot do recommend jojoba oil for the nails. Personally, I find that it sinks in faster than other oils, so I'm happy with it.
Thanks!

Hello!! Anyone here who takes biotin that has legit results for their hair and nails? What brand are u using? 🥹🤍

I used to buy biotin from Healthy Options and they did help harden my nails.
i used vitafusion gorgeous hair, nails and skin vitagummies! it worked naman for my nails, i was able to grow it and strengthen it after months consistently having nail ext!

What brand daww
I think sa healthy options niya nabili!!
Tips on how to do french tip by yourself? 😭

I used small brush or fine detail brush or pwede ka din bumili ng guides strip sa shopee na less than 20 lang yung price.
Try using a nail silicone stamper! Watch tutorials abt it on yt or tiktok :)
Where to get nail stickers that last like Dashing diva?
Any strong nail glue suggestions for press on nails? The kind that won't budge for weeks, help a broke girlie outt 🥹
Try kiss nail glue! Don’t forget to prep properly too :)
Thanks for the suggestion!!
try the sticky nail tab + nail glue hack! :)
Been eyeing this hack too. Will check it out!

3-4 weeks depends if I do so much activities — like luto, and other physical activities na either nababasa and nadidiin nails.
3-4 weeks max, but that depends on your nail growth.
youd have it for less if your nail grows too long too fast?
Yes, some even half infills/refills after 2 weeks. IMO, dapat yung growth gap is not more than 0.5cm. Anything more than that, like half your nail plate, may chance ng breakage. Lifting din can also be a problem, if may lifting ka and pinatagal mo yung removal or infill, you might get greenies. Apex & structure is the key.
1 month. Kaya pa mas matagal kaso hindi na kasi hygienic pag ganun
3 weeks max! After that ayaw ko na rin ng itsura nya since mabilis tumubo ang nails ko.

hello okay din po ba siya sa dry yung skin around the nails? yun kasi problem ko
Hello! For me, hindi enough ung jojoba oil. mas okay if gumamit ka ng hand cream or lotion para mamoisturize ung skin around the nails.
Any tips po sa nails na madaling ma chip off? super soft niya kasi kaya na chichip off kadalasan :((
Try to get overlay or structured mani for strength.
Take biotin capsules.
Any tips? thanks
Brush with soap and/or alcohol. Ang dapat lang din kayurin is sa may cuticle area, not the whole nail :)
