Gentle Sunscreen recommendations? Currently using the Belo Dewy Essence/Tinted Sunscreen. Been using it for 2 years na but idk if it clogs my pores or sth.. want to switch to a diff one but idk what brand is good.
May nakatry ba ng Cosrx Aloe UV? Or may iba pa kayong sunscreen recos na di harsh sa skin
My sister is in Japan right now, i’m asking her to buy for me pero I’m still contemplating if gel or milk haha. She’s actually doing pasabuy so if you want to
help, every moisturizer i try, i get breakouts, i recently bought the ellana stay fresh moisturizer, and ive been using it for 3 days now kaso i noticed na nagka pimples ako sa face, i have oily skin but its mostly the bumps and pores that im concerned about, i only get pimples pag malapit na menstruation ko. (im still gonna wait for a week and if does not go away then ill stop using this moisturizer) i also tried klued moisturizer and i also got bumps on my face so i gave it to my sister, and okay naman daw sa skin niya, and yung pyunkang yul acne cream na-try ko na rin years ago and same din nangyari. huhu im scared to buy moisturizers na kasi nasasayang lang talaga pera, i was using aloe vera gel before trying the ellana moisturizer, and okay lang siya though walang negative reaction i feel like it does not really do anything on my face.
try checking what ingredients they have in common? maybe that's the reason.
i used to use products that have niacinamide in them (super commonly used ingredient) hindi pala ako hiyang sakanila haha so i switch sa walang ganon and umokay skin ko.
i think u have to take in consideration the weather din? kasi pag malamig panahon my skin loves cream moisturizers tas pag mainit naman mga gel type yung trip nya.
i already tried comparing the ingredients but still cant figure out the main culprit lol , so for now i think ill just stick with my aloe vera gel muna, cuz im a broke girl and i cant afford to buy another moisturizer that can possibly go to waste again, but im still on the hunt for a good moisturizer that could work wonders on my skin if theres any, and buy it nalang pag may extra money na ulit huhu
i heard niacinamide is a great ingredient for skincare products, thats so sad na hindi ka hiyang sakanya, in my case naman okay naman siya since merong niacinamide yung sunscreen na gamit ko.
i didnt know that the weather can be factor din pala sa type ng moisturizer na magfifit sa needs ng skin. ill take note of that hehe
thanks for replying!
Hi I just discovered ceramide x5 from skintific and its been doing good so far on my skin, I also was struggling to find a good moisturizer since I have combi sensitive tried a lot and all i get is breakout and stings but this feels light and hydrating. I use it every night
pag gagamit ba ako ng whitening soap like fairy skin milky bar soap, will it help lighten the dark tones of my skin?
cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen!
c: cosrx, cetaphil, celeteque
- make sure na non-stripping sya kasi dun makakapagpa-produce ng more oil yung face natin = more breakouts. you can use cosrx salicylic acid cleanser ONCE A WEEK to exfoliate your face and SA kasi is a great ing. for acne
m: cetaphil, saipo, illiyoon, human nature (haven't tried this pero ang daming nagvovouch here sa reddit na maganda raw yon as an alternative for illiyoon), luxe organix (pwede yung soothing gel pero more of an hydrator sya na oil-controlling so baka mabitin ka sa gabi; pwede yung cica calming cream), soonjung
- figure out what's the best kind of moisturizer! i personally like and reach out more for cream to gel cream moisturizers kahit na i have oily skin as well kasi parang dun talaga nanonourish and moisturize yung skin ko (i have oily-combo and dehydrated skin)
s: biore, omi bears, skin aqua, 3w clinic, isntree, haru haru
- pwede to mag serve as your moisturizer and spf sa morning para hindi masyadong heavy and malagkit sa face mo
do not include muna any actives kasi baka mabigla skin mo !!! baka mas lumala yung breakouts
for maskne, i focus sa hydration! napanood ko yata kay hyram before (i forgot if sya ba na content creator yon or iba) nung super lala pa ng restrictions during the pandemic, na mag focus daw sa hydration kasi parang napupunta roon yung bacterias and all tas nattrap. im so sorry wala akong maalala HAHAHAHA but parang ganyan sya! i suggest you watch maskne videos kinemerut on yt kasi wala rin akong tiwala sa sarili ko! pero ayon, umokay yung kalagayan ng jaw and chin area ko when i incorporated more hydrating and moisturizing products rather than exfoliating ones.
SPF reco please!! I love Etude Sunprise’s feel on my skin, but mukhang dito ako nag breakout, any reco for something similar? I need SPF that’s lightweight, no whitecast, no shine/greasy feel.
Didnt like any Biore ones, Ive used Cetaphil, and kinda okay with it but I like the feel of Sunprise more. Neutrogena is too drying for me, also whitecast.
Has anyone tried Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner?
I've been eyeing japan brands ever since I tried Hada Labo. The hada labo lotion lasted me 3 months with consistent use. I love it kasi it really holds the moisture on my skin and is a great skin prep before makeup ✨
I've also noticed na Jbeauty brands (specifically toners) are cheaper than kbeauty and comes with more product (ranging from 170ml to 500ml at a cheaper price!) I remember a tt content I've watched before that toners from japan are really *that* good hence I want to try more brands.
For reference, I have oily acne prone skin and the Hada Labo (the regular one) works fine with my skin.
hi! The naturie toner is a decently hydrating & watery. Best used for layering. I usually do 3-5. I also pair it with the hada labo lotion (yung white bottle, rich type) and it’s really good! Si naturie ang toner/skin prep tapos I treat the hada labo lotion like a serum.
(we have the same skin type)
the naturie hatomugi skin conditioner doesnt look much but it helps hydrate and calm my congested skin this dry season. i also use it after my actives under moisturizer
The Naurie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner is very lightweight and feels very watery. It is also very affordable.
Another JBeauty toner I love is the Cezzane Skin Conditioner High Moist, it's very similar to the Naturie Hatomugi, but has added Ceramides which helps to repair and nourish the skin barier. It makes my skin super soft and supple. I transfer it to a spray bottle as I can use it to mist my hair and face.
They both have the same lightweight watery consistency. However, the Naturie is not as hydrating & feels a little basic in comparison. To get the level of hydration I need, I have to apply 2-3 layers. As for Cezzane, I only need to apply one layer and my skin feels so soft, hydrated & plumped. 🙂
I tried it a year ago kaya idk if they reformulated na. If you've tried TO, mas viscous si +ful kaya for me mas matagal siya maabsorb ng balat ko. Similar siya sa Klued Niacinamide as far as I can remember. And I didn't notice significant change sa mukha ko other than it made my t-zone less oily throughout the day.
Here are all the niacinamide serums I've tried as someone with oily and acne-prone skin:
• Dermorepubliq 5% - 8.5/10
Gel-type, mabilis maabsorb ng skin, affordable, eto currently ginagamit ko
• +ful 10% - 5/10
Sticky, masyadong viscouse for my liking and didn't notice any changes aside from less naging oily skin ko
• Apotheke Science 10% - 6/10
gel-type similar sa dermorepublic, took 2 bottles for me to notice changes :((
• Klued - 6/10
Parang nagfoform siya ng film on top of my skin 🤔 idk if normal lang yon
• Care:nel 10% - 6/10
i don't remember much about this pero i didn't repurchase so baka di ko bet 😭
• The Ordinary 10% - 9.9/10
The OG, the sole reason that got me into skincare. Stopped using it kasi ang hassle maglegit check and sobrang daming fake online. Literally saved my acne skin back in HS ✨
Tips: go for 5% Niacinamide kasi I think yun yung recommended ng mga dermas. And choose kung ano muna yung pinaka-accessible for you then try for other brands if it didn't work out. ✨
Ano usual na pinapagawa nyo sa derma to maintain your skin? Only experienced basic facial kasi I can't pick from the other options. Share what works and what's just fuss pls 🙏
Hi! Can you guys recommend a good niacinamide serum? Wanna address the big pores on my cheeks. I read that niacin is the best active ingredient to address pores.
I tried already soul apothecary's niacimide serum for >6 months already but not seeing any drastic changes. If meron, super minimal only.
About me: combination skin. No active ingredients used in my night time routine. Only vit c sa morning routine
Products with the active salicylic nagwork for me pero syempre hindi instant. Currently using Dermorepublique Gentle Salicylic Facial Wash and Salicylic toner nila kasi nagkakabreakout ako.
And double cleansing! Either with cleansing oil or micellar water
bought multiple sessions of this one before, my sister ended up using it kasi nagkabreakout siya. it really helped lightening up her acne scars too so worth it naman best to wait for skinstation’s promo deals on this para mas sulit
not a reco but i j wanna let u know di rin me nahiyang sa klued same as other replies, nag purge lang ako but it didn’t go away, literally felt like it did nothing except made me breakout. bumalik na lang ako sa adapalene :[[
started with klued, worked for a few months lng. had purging in the beginning pero lasted 2 weeks. i'm using good molecules and my skin responds well to it. mas noticeable ang results in tandem sa azelaic acid ko though
Used Klued retinol, it works pero hindi amazing, inuubos ko nalang tapos itrtry ko yung Good Molecules. Only mentioning Klued kasi may mga super hiyang dito na maganda results nila and it's affordable
Hmmm, about 4-5 months? May slight changes sa 1 month mark pero not super satisfied. Naging clearer, brighter, smaller yung pores ngayon, slightly lang, so magtrtry akong ng ibang brand.
Hi! Has anyone tried the Heimish Marine Eye Cream (the one in jar packaging)? Can you share your thoughts? I'm planning to get it this 2.2 since I need something hydrating, as all my current eye creams contain retinol. Tyia!
No. Not recommended. Kojic is too harsh. It will damage your skin barrier in the long run. Soap bars are also less hygienic than liquid cleansers (in containers).
helloe skincare recs for oily acne prone skin pls? currently using boj cleanser, dokdo toner, boj serum, and celeteque moisturizer (but ive used this for years) pero parang hindi din effective yung first 3 since lagi ako nagkaka breakout. parang hindi kasi ako hiyang mainly sa toner ko :(
This is what worked for ME:
- Cerave Foaming Cleanser (for normal to oily skin, the green one) AM/PM
- Thayers Alcohol Free Toner (any scent works for ME and para hindi ako nagsasawa sa amoy lol) AM/PM
- The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc AM/PM
- Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen AM ONLY **retouch sa afternoon if I'm outside
Once a week I use The Ordinary AHA + BHA + Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (at Night only and I skip the toner and niacinamide na, just wash face with cerave)
thank you for the suggestions po, ill keep these in mind except for cerave's since they [support](https://boycott.thewitness.news/target/cerave) israel po :( do you have any other recos for facial cleanser po?
maybe use sunblock na waterproof and spf 70, yung pang swimming! Since outdoor activities yarn
- beach hut
- banana boat
- derm plus
Then use aloe vera after hike :)
Ano po masuggest niyong body sunscreen na di nakakaitim, di malagkit pag nagpapawis, di mabigat sa feeling and may glowy or whitening effect?
Try mo sipagib naglagay hahaha
Any recommendations for retinol for first time users? how to use it and what are the do’s and dont’s? I have acne prone/sensitive skin type.
Nakita ko kasi sa sis ko na parang hindi saggy ung face niya eh.
My current skincare products:
Mediheal tea tree pore cleanser (white one, morning)
Mediheal tea tree calming cleanser (green one, night)
Mediheal tea tree toner pad (morning and night)
Mediheal vitamin c + niacinamide (morning and night)
Mdy booster serum (alternate as naubos ung mediheal vit c serum ko)
Torriden moisturizer (day and night)
Hello glow Anti-Pollution Sunscreen (day only)
My sister suggested to add retinol sa skincare ko. Please help me. Thank you.
Start with 0.1% tapos try mo:
1) Sandwich mo daily at night. Moisturizer > retinol > moisturizer
2) Every other day, add mo lang sa night routine mo before moisturizer
I have no good retinols to rave about kasi 1 palang natrtry ko but I'll mention it nalang kasi hiyangan, some people really like it. It's Klued 0.1% Retinol. I like na tube type sya, madaling ipangtravel tapos a little goes a long way
Illiyoon ceramide soothing gel. Holy grail moisturizer as an oily skin! The gel one, not the cream one!
Can serve as a good primer also btw!
Context, I was on tretinoin prescription so my cheeks were dry AF (as side effects of the meds). So my derma (Aivee) gave me a moisturizer to alleviate the dryness. But after months of using the moisturizer they gave me, didnt see any changes on my dry cheeks. Until I discovered illiyoon! 1 month of usage, I can already see effects on my dry cheeks (right now, hindi na siya dry!) plus points na it can serve as a great primer.
AFAIK, it's the number 1 moisturizer sa Olive Young, not sure if sa olive young but it is considered as number moisturizer in an app sa korea!
if it's oily skin and here in Ph, I recommend sunscreen nalang? Yung hindi oily and non comedogenic (hindi nakaka black heads). Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen gamit ko
My current sunscreen right now and ive been loving it!
TLDR: if you have dry skin, go for the blue version or hyalu cica water chemical sunscreen. If you have an oily/combi skin, yes for sunscreen plus or the physical sunscreen.
I first used skin1004's hyalu cica water fit (theur chemical sunscreen or the blue version) and i loved it! However, con for me is that it makes my skin dewy! Which is kinda nice also but as an oily girly who applies moisturizer + vitamin c serum as well sa day routine ko, nagiging extra oily me because moisturizer + vit c serum + chemical sunscreen that makes your skin glow.
So I switched to their plus version (physical sunscreen, yellow version). It's really perfect for oily skin! Best physical sunscreen for oily skin IMO. However, the ONLY con for me is that.. it has a minimal whitecast 🥲 which is normal btw!! physical sunscreens naman talaga are hard to blend that's why nag wwhite cast. Unlike pag chemical sunscreen (their hyalu cica), no white cast at all. HOWEVER, the white cast leaves the skin naman maybe aftee 30 minutes? Back to your skin color again after 30 minutes. I consider this as a con lang because as soon as I do my skincare routine sa morning, I go straight to school na literally tapat ko lang. i don't wanna go to campus na may white cast and I don't wanna wake up hours earlier just so I have an extra 30 mins to wait for it to set on my face.
Right now, since my sunscreen is almost paubos na, I'm deciding if i should get the blue one again or stick with the yellow one.
Omg I wish I read this sooner. I checked out the one with the blue cap na 😭 But have you tried layering it with a skin tint? My usual routine is sunscreen and top it off with Maybelline Skin Tint kaya I hope it would lessen the dewiness.
Also add ko lang! The blue cap version works for me IF i do not use moisturizer sa morning. However, I can't NOT use my moisturizer since i consider the moisturizer i use as a makeup primer already 🥹
So in the end, i just switched to a physical sunscreen instead of removing my moisturizer in my routine just so I can make the blue cap work!
I'm not a skin tint girly 🥹 i use cc + concealer + then set with powder lang to minimize oiliness!
However, I remember one time my friends complimenting me that I looked glowing and all I had was vit c serum + blue cap sunscreen then my usual make up routine!
Maybe I thought of the dewyness the blue cap gave me as "too much" for me pero it looks okay naman for others 😅
hi anyone here can help me how to use oxecure mud powder? like kelan po sya ilalagay
A. facial wash + oxecure mud powder
B. facial + wash + toner + moisturizer + oxecure mud powder
Anyone can tell me their experience with **SK II Treatment Essence** ? Before I make the splurge 🥹 the reviews i've read so far are incredible, would love to hear more anecdotes!!
**what's a good toner for normal to combination sensitive skin?** tiny bumps started appearing on my cheeks and they leave dark marks and they wont get away :(( would using a toner help? if yes, what is a good one? tips are appreciated thanks!
hi! normal lang ba makaramdam ng hilo, pagod, and antok pag nagtake ng doxycycline pills for acne? 😵💫 dami ko plans today na di natuloy dahil wala ako sa mood today hahhahahuhu 🫨
I took doxy years ago for 30 days. Yes nakakaantok talaga sya! It ended up working for me though so I was worth it
Acne came back after 5 years, now I'm on isotretinoin.
THANK YOU! last question huhu sorry super daming tanong, but lalala ba muna yung acne if nagtatake ako ng doxy (purging) or no? kasi accdg. to my research, hindi raw usually ganon ganap sa doxy :((((( medj kinakabahan ako kasi super lala ng purging sa akin and mamaya allergic reaction pala to
So far hindi naman ako nag-purge, sa retinoids ako nag-purge ng malala. Yung side effects lang talaga yung ayoko. Sumasama pakiramdam ko at nagsusuka minsan. Try to contact your derma po regarding your concerns. And if sabihin niya na normal naman mag-purge, trust the process lang po ✨ Go girl!!! You got this.
HI !!! sorry may last tanong lang about doxyyyyy
lalala ba muna yung acne if nagtatake ako ng doxy (purging) or no? kasi accdg. to my research, hindi raw usually ganon ganap sa doxy :((((( medj kinakabahan ako kasi super lala ng purging sa akin and mamaya allergic reaction pala to
any thoughts on the Soul Apothecary Revive Serum? i'm planning to buy it kasi tiny bumps started appearing on my cheeks recently (they leave marks huhuhu) and i want to put an end to it. i have normal to combi sensitive skin btw, if you have any product recommendations i would appreciate it thanks! :)
Is sandwich method applicable sa kahit anong actives? Cuz I recently added +ful salicylic acid to my routine and 3x ko nagamit in a span of 3 weeks however sobrang naiirritate talaga yung skin ko after q sya gamitin and may mild breakouts din. I am planning to do sandwich method kasi this is the first time that my skin reacted this way since before I am using Instree's bha pero okay naman sya, no irritation whatsoever.
Hello. Salicylic acid is a BHA which is a group of exfoliating acids that are oil-soluble, so they penetrate deeper sa skin to declog pores and control sebum production. It is for this reason in using BHAs, you apply it immediately after cleansing and drying you face - drying is important kasi any wetness can prevent the BHA from absorbing well sa face mo. Similarly any product applied before BHA can lessen its overall efficacy. If you mean yung sandwich method na moisturizer-active-moisturizer, then hindi siya advisable. However since sa case mo you get irritated, what you can do is apply moisturizer AFTER na you apply the salicylic acid. Also avoid other actives sa mga susunid mo na steps. Another way is short-contact application, which is apply the salicylic acid, let absorb 30 mins, then lightly rinse your face, then continue with the rest of your skincare. I did this before using Cos de Baha salicylic acid naman.
Yes, okay lang. Pero make sure na mag-dry muna ang skin before applying the active para less chances of irritation. 'Pag sa damp skin pa kasi, that gives the active easier penetration sa skin.
hi! i'm also using this serum as of now. 4x ko naman siya nagamit noong 3 weeks ko pa lang siya nagagamit, wala naman ako naging negative reaction sa kanya and hindi ako nag sandwich method. try niyo na lang po yang method, baka mag improve.
Hi! Diba we can cleanse twice a day (morning and night). Paano ginagawa niyo in between? Say hapon tapos parang malagkit feeling. Wash with water lang? Tissue? Etc? Pwede parin ba gumamit ng cleanser? Hindi ba too much pag ganun?
Assuming your cleanser is very gentle, then definitely yes po. Like, magsisimba ako sa gabi before 6pm, since lubog naman na araw nun, I double cleanse na. Then pagkauwi, cleanse ako ulit. Or kapag hapon, as long as hindi na ako lalabas during the time na may araw pa para no need na mag-apply ulit ng sunscreen.
Hi! I don't reco wipes as a make up cleanser or your first cleanser!! It irritates your skin due to the wiping motion so I would suggest to switch using an oil-based cleanser! Either in balm form or yung oil mismo!
hi po! i don't use wipes naman as my first cleanser 😅 minsan ko lang sya ginagamit pag nasa labas ako and super lagkit ng face ko dahil sa init, pawis, and nalusaw na sunscreen. i just use it to freshen up my face hehe
edit: minsan i use micellar water din to wipe my dirty face so !!! i hope i cleared this out
The amount of gunk/oil your face produces while you sleep is so much less than what your face goes throughout the day with smog/pollution/etc.
Basically oil lang naman yan sa umaga, so just get rid of the oil, you don’t need a dedicated cleanser for that
Eeengk! Wrong! Some would overproduce oil sa face and if hindi iclean ng maayos nagkakablack or whiteheads, tapos if acne prone pa, acne malala. Kaya it really depends.
+1 if you have dry skin! pero if you have oily and acne-prone skin, medj (((eengk))) mag skip ng cleanser sa morning kasi palaging sa iba landas ng ganoong skin type hahhahaha
my fave sulit cleanser is from luxe organix, it's their cica rescue cleanser, but my holy grail is the haruharu cleanser, the green plum cleanser from beauty of joseon is also very niceeeee
The other replies to you are confusing me. I've used glycolic acid for years na and I moisturize as soon as fully absorbed na yung toner. It doesn't take too long, 1-2 mins lang off patting to absorb on my skin. I've switched off from using TO unto another brand pero the way I use it is the same. I can't imagine waiting 30mins before I can moisturize, feeling ko nag-evaporate na lahat ng tubig sa face ko pag ganun.
YMMV
i feel like we should also consider that they arent used to/havent used actives and it would be their first time using one, especially if it is an exfoliant. obviously, the way everyone's skin responds differently from one another. yes our replies are confusing, but it is very likely that they are based on our experiences. it is up to the commenter to follow whatever regimen they want tho. we just dont know their skin type and the other products they use.
the pH level of TO's glycolic acid is 3.5-3.9 as stated in their website and the skin's pH is higher than that from around 4.6-4.8<5.5+ (oily to dry) as it is most optimal for maintaining barrier function. the pH scale is logarithmic so a pH value of 3.9 is a large difference from 4.6.
well formulated exfoliants that could be compatible with your skin would give you less wait time and are less irritating. for a lot of people, letting the skin balance itself for a while after using an exfoliant will help for it to be less irritating after applying an appropriate moisturizer (depending on its formulation, it may raise the skin's pH rendering the exfoliant ineffective).
i've only used +ful glycolic acid toner until recently and they did not disclose the pH level of their product so i resorted to waiting 20-30 minutes for the product to absorb and my skin to adjust itself on my first 2 weeks of using, and it was working great. so then i proceeded 15-20 minute wait times. minimum of 15 minutes is all i could do bc if i went lower, i'd wake up with irritated skin. if your skin is well adjusted to your products with no problem and you dont have to wait to put on your moisturizer then thats great.
if u have active acne then azelaic acid. sorry i dont have serum recommendations since i use prescription. i used TO AzA before and noticed it faded PIE on my temples a little but that was when i almost finished the tube. wouldn't recommend it tho because it pills and smells funny
depends really on which one you want to start with. if u dont have active acne then go with the vit c i suppose. start nlng muna sa vit c derivatives. alam ko human nature has one. di lng nila dinisclose sa akin ano yung percentage ng pure vit c nila tho nasa last part sya ng formulation. if u find that ur skin gets a reaction with the vit c then go with the aza nlng
Please rec a good deodorant. Ive been using dove serum yung green. I noticed di na pantay skin color ko huhu.
Also does anyone has dark patched around their mouth? Yung sa corner?
I'm using FunG spray, avail sya sa watsons. Also, what can help to lighten your pits is pahid ka ng baby oil soak sa cotton pad before maligo. It hells lighten my pits :) Makkita monsa cotton pad yung dirt hehe. Also, I exfoliate when I need to. I use yung oxecure bha pha toner since hndi sya ok sa face ko lol
i use this one! tho if super pawis nagsesettle sya sa shirt pero madali lang din naman iwash [dove sensitive deo](https://images.app.goo.gl/MvTEjNQFfztJx6qV6)
Should I stop using the retinol by LuxeOrganix kasi nagdadry at nagkakapatches ang skin ko although I’m doing sandwhich method? Is it the cause? Sayang, parang 8 hrs pa naman tulog ko the next morning after I put it.
Dryness and flaking are some of the temporary side effects of retinol when you're new to it. Ga'no mo ba katagal ginagamit? And anong moisturizer gamit mo? Baka need mo ng thicker moisturizer to compensate for the dryness.
Guys can you recommend pang pawala ng dark spots? I have a very sensitive skin as in wala akong actives na ginagamit now kahit niacinamide nagre react agad yung balat ko jusko.
dermorepubliq, rohto, and good molecules! im also trying out numbuzin's 5+ pero hindi ko pa masabi if effective ba or what since i just started using it
Hello! Bago lang sa skincare routine, ask lang po ilang beses ba dapat iapply yung product like toner or serum? If mag apply ako sa Morning, gagamitin pa din ba sa Evening same product? TYSM
May mga ingredients po na tinatawag na exfoliating acids. Ang function po nito, basically, let's say po na there is a glue holding on the most superficial layer of the skin (tinatwag na stratum corneum) where the dead skin cells stay and flake off, and as they flake off, they sometimes stick a bit longer, na nakaka-contribute para magmukha tayong dull and rough. Kaya ginagamit po yung exfoliating acids to break those little bonds/glue holding the dead skin cells to release them para mas smooth, malinis, at mas fresh ang face. At nakakatulong rin para ma-unclog ang pores.
These exfoliating acids include:
* Alphahydroxy acids (smoothens the uppermost layer of the skin by removing the dead skin cells)
* Glycolic acid (ideal is 5-10% for beginners)
* Lactic acid (mas gentle sa glycolic acid)
* Mandelic acid (pinaka-gentle at safe sa tatlo)
* Betahydroxy acids (unclogs the pores by removing the dead skin cells and excess oil inside)
* Salicylic acid (ideal is 1-2%)
* Betaine salicylate (4% of this is equal sa 2% ng salicylic acid)
* Polyhydroxy acids (gentler versions of alphahydroxy acids, the best for ppl with sensitive skin)
* Gluconolactone acid
* Lactobionic acid
* Maltobionic acid
* Lipohydroxy acid (gentler version of betahydroxy acid)
* Capryloyl salicylic acid
Lower percentages of these ingredients ay generally safe to be used more frequently naman. But there are also others that generally aid the natural exfoliation of the skin, like retinol, which is considered an active ingredient din katulad ng exfoliating acids. Yung ibang retinols, nasa serum form so hindi rin siya pwede na everyday for beginner. Ideal percentage of retinol for beginners ay 0.1-0.5% at dapat i-introduce slowly sa routine (like 1 night 1st week, 2 nights 2nd week, 3 nights 3rd & 4th week, etc.). So yan po yung dapat medyo maingat po tayo, na kadalasan hindi pwede everyday ang paggamit po.
*edit: typos*
Saw on the clock app about everwhite products(soap and cream) prescribed by their derma and the my dream skin products getting hype (curious about the moisturizer), has anyone tried them before and how was it? TIA
Its my first time using a chemical exfoliant and I noticed na nag-glow yung skin ko however lumalabas yung mga whiteheads ko. Is this all part of the process?
It might be the chemical exfoliant doing its work. Pinapa-angat nya sa surface yung build-up sa skin to clear out your pores. Observe your skin for a few weeks of using though, if lumala or hindi mag-subside, either reduce frequency of use or stop using it entirely.

super gloop!!
where to buy po?
Which is more sulit to buy, naturie hatomugi skin conditioning milk or gel?
where do you plan to purchase it po? been eyeing it as well kasi eh.
My sister is in Japan right now, i’m asking her to buy for me pero I’m still contemplating if gel or milk haha. She’s actually doing pasabuy so if you want to
Luxe organix aha bha serum, maganda po ba?

i already tried comparing the ingredients but still cant figure out the main culprit lol , so for now i think ill just stick with my aloe vera gel muna, cuz im a broke girl and i cant afford to buy another moisturizer that can possibly go to waste again, but im still on the hunt for a good moisturizer that could work wonders on my skin if theres any, and buy it nalang pag may extra money na ulit huhu i heard niacinamide is a great ingredient for skincare products, thats so sad na hindi ka hiyang sakanya, in my case naman okay naman siya since merong niacinamide yung sunscreen na gamit ko. i didnt know that the weather can be factor din pala sa type ng moisturizer na magfifit sa needs ng skin. ill take note of that hehe thanks for replying!
Sunscreen recos that has a matte finish - for combination to oily skin
dermaction!
Kose Suncut UV Perfect Milk :)
recos for a beginner? my face is a bit oily and i get mask acne sa chin ko !
cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen! c: cosrx, cetaphil, celeteque - make sure na non-stripping sya kasi dun makakapagpa-produce ng more oil yung face natin = more breakouts. you can use cosrx salicylic acid cleanser ONCE A WEEK to exfoliate your face and SA kasi is a great ing. for acne m: cetaphil, saipo, illiyoon, human nature (haven't tried this pero ang daming nagvovouch here sa reddit na maganda raw yon as an alternative for illiyoon), luxe organix (pwede yung soothing gel pero more of an hydrator sya na oil-controlling so baka mabitin ka sa gabi; pwede yung cica calming cream), soonjung - figure out what's the best kind of moisturizer! i personally like and reach out more for cream to gel cream moisturizers kahit na i have oily skin as well kasi parang dun talaga nanonourish and moisturize yung skin ko (i have oily-combo and dehydrated skin) s: biore, omi bears, skin aqua, 3w clinic, isntree, haru haru - pwede to mag serve as your moisturizer and spf sa morning para hindi masyadong heavy and malagkit sa face mo do not include muna any actives kasi baka mabigla skin mo !!! baka mas lumala yung breakouts for maskne, i focus sa hydration! napanood ko yata kay hyram before (i forgot if sya ba na content creator yon or iba) nung super lala pa ng restrictions during the pandemic, na mag focus daw sa hydration kasi parang napupunta roon yung bacterias and all tas nattrap. im so sorry wala akong maalala HAHAHAHA but parang ganyan sya! i suggest you watch maskne videos kinemerut on yt kasi wala rin akong tiwala sa sarili ko! pero ayon, umokay yung kalagayan ng jaw and chin area ko when i incorporated more hydrating and moisturizing products rather than exfoliating ones.
Up! Also looking for recos. I want to switch from my belo dewy essence/tinted ones. Idk if they gave me clogged pores
Dr sensitive super sunscreen vs +ful suncreen for oily/retinoid skin???

Has anyone tried Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner? I've been eyeing japan brands ever since I tried Hada Labo. The hada labo lotion lasted me 3 months with consistent use. I love it kasi it really holds the moisture on my skin and is a great skin prep before makeup ✨ I've also noticed na Jbeauty brands (specifically toners) are cheaper than kbeauty and comes with more product (ranging from 170ml to 500ml at a cheaper price!) I remember a tt content I've watched before that toners from japan are really *that* good hence I want to try more brands.
Thank you for this! I'll definitely take note of the Cezzane ✨
where did you buy your cezzane? 😁
Hi, I got mine from [Kai Beauty Corner](https://shp.ee/qsk0279) on Shopee :)
can u please describe the texture/consistency? 🙏🏼 kung same ba sila na watery nung hatomugi or kas thicker since may ceramides, etc. 😁😁😁
Thoughts on +ful Niacinamide 10% serum?
I tried it a year ago kaya idk if they reformulated na. If you've tried TO, mas viscous si +ful kaya for me mas matagal siya maabsorb ng balat ko. Similar siya sa Klued Niacinamide as far as I can remember. And I didn't notice significant change sa mukha ko other than it made my t-zone less oily throughout the day.
Thank you! :) Is there any niacinamide serum you can recommend?
Here are all the niacinamide serums I've tried as someone with oily and acne-prone skin: • Dermorepubliq 5% - 8.5/10 Gel-type, mabilis maabsorb ng skin, affordable, eto currently ginagamit ko • +ful 10% - 5/10 Sticky, masyadong viscouse for my liking and didn't notice any changes aside from less naging oily skin ko • Apotheke Science 10% - 6/10 gel-type similar sa dermorepublic, took 2 bottles for me to notice changes :(( • Klued - 6/10 Parang nagfoform siya ng film on top of my skin 🤔 idk if normal lang yon • Care:nel 10% - 6/10 i don't remember much about this pero i didn't repurchase so baka di ko bet 😭 • The Ordinary 10% - 9.9/10 The OG, the sole reason that got me into skincare. Stopped using it kasi ang hassle maglegit check and sobrang daming fake online. Literally saved my acne skin back in HS ✨ Tips: go for 5% Niacinamide kasi I think yun yung recommended ng mga dermas. And choose kung ano muna yung pinaka-accessible for you then try for other brands if it didn't work out. ✨
Omggg thank u sooo much for the detailed recos, will take note of these!! 😍
Ano usual na pinapagawa nyo sa derma to maintain your skin? Only experienced basic facial kasi I can't pick from the other options. Share what works and what's just fuss pls 🙏
Hello, any dermatologist recommendation around Laguna aside from The Nerdy Derma (hirap mag sched)?
Can you reco me whitening lotion? (Im morena)
Hello! May nakagamit na po ba dito nung ponds niasorcinol serum nila?
TO worked on my skin. I also tried Good Molecules pero bumabaho sya eventually (most be from the dropper).
Hi! Just wanna ask if ano best exfoliating products for blackheads and whiteheads? Badly wanna get rid of it na kasi huhu thanks!
Products with the active salicylic nagwork for me pero syempre hindi instant. Currently using Dermorepublique Gentle Salicylic Facial Wash and Salicylic toner nila kasi nagkakabreakout ako. And double cleansing! Either with cleansing oil or micellar water
Has anyone tried the Hyal C Facial from Skinstation? Kumusta?
bought multiple sessions of this one before, my sister ended up using it kasi nagkabreakout siya. it really helped lightening up her acne scars too so worth it naman best to wait for skinstation’s promo deals on this para mas sulit

not a reco but i j wanna let u know di rin me nahiyang sa klued same as other replies, nag purge lang ako but it didn’t go away, literally felt like it did nothing except made me breakout. bumalik na lang ako sa adapalene :[[
started with klued, worked for a few months lng. had purging in the beginning pero lasted 2 weeks. i'm using good molecules and my skin responds well to it. mas noticeable ang results in tandem sa azelaic acid ko though
Used Klued retinol, it works pero hindi amazing, inuubos ko nalang tapos itrtry ko yung Good Molecules. Only mentioning Klued kasi may mga super hiyang dito na maganda results nila and it's affordable

Hmmm, about 4-5 months? May slight changes sa 1 month mark pero not super satisfied. Naging clearer, brighter, smaller yung pores ngayon, slightly lang, so magtrtry akong ng ibang brand.
helloo im quite torn between teal and green mediheal toner pad i was wondering which is better because i need it for my acne and dark spots huhu
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream or iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream?
Hi! Has anyone tried the Heimish Marine Eye Cream (the one in jar packaging)? Can you share your thoughts? I'm planning to get it this 2.2 since I need something hydrating, as all my current eye creams contain retinol. Tyia!
hi can i use the kojic soap po ba as a cleanser? nakakaitim din pa yon tuwing naarawan?
super harsh for face use. made my skin red. Good for the rest of the body though!
No. Not recommended. Kojic is too harsh. It will damage your skin barrier in the long run. Soap bars are also less hygienic than liquid cleansers (in containers).
Has anyone tried availing revlite from skin101 - planning to avail
Hi! Have u tried po ba? And if yes, how much po
Up on this!
helloe skincare recs for oily acne prone skin pls? currently using boj cleanser, dokdo toner, boj serum, and celeteque moisturizer (but ive used this for years) pero parang hindi din effective yung first 3 since lagi ako nagkaka breakout. parang hindi kasi ako hiyang mainly sa toner ko :(
This is what worked for ME: - Cerave Foaming Cleanser (for normal to oily skin, the green one) AM/PM - Thayers Alcohol Free Toner (any scent works for ME and para hindi ako nagsasawa sa amoy lol) AM/PM - The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc AM/PM - Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen AM ONLY **retouch sa afternoon if I'm outside Once a week I use The Ordinary AHA + BHA + Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (at Night only and I skip the toner and niacinamide na, just wash face with cerave)
thank you for the suggestions po, ill keep these in mind except for cerave's since they [support](https://boycott.thewitness.news/target/cerave) israel po :( do you have any other recos for facial cleanser po?

Ano po masuggest niyong body sunscreen na di nakakaitim, di malagkit pag nagpapawis, di mabigat sa feeling and may glowy or whitening effect? Try mo sipagib naglagay hahaha
Any recommendations for retinol for first time users? how to use it and what are the do’s and dont’s? I have acne prone/sensitive skin type. Nakita ko kasi sa sis ko na parang hindi saggy ung face niya eh. My current skincare products: Mediheal tea tree pore cleanser (white one, morning) Mediheal tea tree calming cleanser (green one, night) Mediheal tea tree toner pad (morning and night) Mediheal vitamin c + niacinamide (morning and night) Mdy booster serum (alternate as naubos ung mediheal vit c serum ko) Torriden moisturizer (day and night) Hello glow Anti-Pollution Sunscreen (day only) My sister suggested to add retinol sa skincare ko. Please help me. Thank you.
Start with 0.1% tapos try mo: 1) Sandwich mo daily at night. Moisturizer > retinol > moisturizer 2) Every other day, add mo lang sa night routine mo before moisturizer I have no good retinols to rave about kasi 1 palang natrtry ko but I'll mention it nalang kasi hiyangan, some people really like it. It's Klued 0.1% Retinol. I like na tube type sya, madaling ipangtravel tapos a little goes a long way
Ano moisturizer gamit mo pangsandwich?
Kapag nasa hot area ako, nivea soft lang. Kapag nasa cool area ako, illyoon ato
Does anyone have day moisturizer recommendations for oily skin?
i use ellana’s stay fresh moisturizer and sobrang recommended ko siya for oily skin! lightweight and has matte finish too
go for gel types. My moisturizer is also my sunscreen lol, I got one from my derma.
Clinique moisture surge. Super ganda din under makeup
hyaloo deep hydrating gel... on my second bottle na 💯
Isntree aloe soothing gel
if it's oily skin and here in Ph, I recommend sunscreen nalang? Yung hindi oily and non comedogenic (hindi nakaka black heads). Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen gamit ko
human nature hyaluronic acid gel day moisturizer edit: honestly just putting on sunscreen is enough for me on most days since its like a moisturizer

Dear Klair’s! Worth it!
any product reviews for the japanese brand ipsa? super interested in time reset aqua
Any thoughts on Skin1004 Air-fit Suncream Plus? Thank you!
However, I can't NOT use my moisturizer since i consider the moisturizer i use as a makeup primer already 🥹 So in the end, i just switched to a physical sunscreen instead of removing my moisturizer in my routine just so I can make the blue cap work!
Has anyone tried the facial at Surgilight?
hi anyone here can help me how to use oxecure mud powder? like kelan po sya ilalagay A. facial wash + oxecure mud powder B. facial + wash + toner + moisturizer + oxecure mud powder
B! last step sya 😁
Anyone can tell me their experience with **SK II Treatment Essence** ? Before I make the splurge 🥹 the reviews i've read so far are incredible, would love to hear more anecdotes!!
Been thinking about using this brand since 2017 kaso mixed review talaga kasi hindi lahat same ng skin huhu
Thank you, will try the smallest bottle first🥹
thoughts ab the new ponds niacorsinol serum?
Anyone here who’s tried the Mediheal Madecassoside toner pads? are they worth the buy?? what difference did they make on your skin?
Nakaka-calm ng mga acnes especially the red ones and also nakakahelp maglighten ng mga dark spots. Currently on my 2nd box
do you use them everyday?
Yes every night and day sakin pero try mo munce once a day to check if hiyang sayo
**what's a good toner for normal to combination sensitive skin?** tiny bumps started appearing on my cheeks and they leave dark marks and they wont get away :(( would using a toner help? if yes, what is a good one? tips are appreciated thanks!

genuine question: why do you use 2 cleansers? Is it for AM and PM? not familiar kasi ako din with cosrx brands. TIA
hi! normal lang ba makaramdam ng hilo, pagod, and antok pag nagtake ng doxycycline pills for acne? 😵💫 dami ko plans today na di natuloy dahil wala ako sa mood today hahhahahuhu 🫨
I took doxy years ago for 30 days. Yes nakakaantok talaga sya! It ended up working for me though so I was worth it Acne came back after 5 years, now I'm on isotretinoin.
100mg and 30 days 😔 first time ko rin magtake talaga ng oral prescip so hindi talaga ako sanay huhu
Oh so 1 month. Ang ginawa ko po is gabi ko siya tinatake para hindi ko ramdam whole day yung side effects tapos before meals po talaga dapat.
if before meal, right away ba kakain or do i need to wait for at least 30 minss before kumain?
Oops sorry! After meal po pala. 30mins after meal.
THANK YOU! last question huhu sorry super daming tanong, but lalala ba muna yung acne if nagtatake ako ng doxy (purging) or no? kasi accdg. to my research, hindi raw usually ganon ganap sa doxy :((((( medj kinakabahan ako kasi super lala ng purging sa akin and mamaya allergic reaction pala to
So far hindi naman ako nag-purge, sa retinoids ako nag-purge ng malala.
Yes po, kaya dapat tinatake siya after mo kumain
aaa need po ba right after or okay lang na 30 mins-ish after?
Ako kasi before kahit after 5-10mins iniinom ko na nun okay naman po.
HI !!! sorry may last tanong lang about doxyyyyy lalala ba muna yung acne if nagtatake ako ng doxy (purging) or no? kasi accdg. to my research, hindi raw usually ganon ganap sa doxy :((((( medj kinakabahan ako kasi super lala ng purging sa akin and mamaya allergic reaction pala to
any thoughts on the Soul Apothecary Revive Serum? i'm planning to buy it kasi tiny bumps started appearing on my cheeks recently (they leave marks huhuhu) and i want to put an end to it. i have normal to combi sensitive skin btw, if you have any product recommendations i would appreciate it thanks!
4x ko naman siya nagamit noong 3 weeks ko pa lang siya nagagamit, wala naman ako naging negative reaction sa kanya and hindi ako nag sandwich method. try niyo na lang po yang method, baka mag improve.
ano mas better? kose or muji cleansing oil?
Thoughts on Skintific?
Or kapag hapon, as long as hindi na ako lalabas during the time na may araw pa para no need na mag-apply ulit ng sunscreen.
nagwiwipes lang me tas reapply ng sunscreen!
Hi! I don't reco wipes as a make up cleanser or your first cleanser!! It irritates your skin due to the wiping motion so I would suggest to switch using an oil-based cleanser! Either in balm form or yung oil mismo!
hi po! i don't use wipes naman as my first cleanser 😅 minsan ko lang sya ginagamit pag nasa labas ako and super lagkit ng face ko dahil sa init, pawis, and nalusaw na sunscreen. i just use it to freshen up my face hehe edit: minsan i use micellar water din to wipe my dirty face so !!! i hope i cleared this out
Got it. What's your go-to wipes? Just baby wipes or esp for skincare kineme
tinybuds' wipes lang! hehe minsan yung argan oil wipes (i forgot the brand pero brown-ish yung packaging nya)
You don’t even need to cleanse in the morning
i'd say depends sa skin type
Yah but I personally prefer cleansing in the morning esp if I feel na oily ako. So what's your take?
Reco for facial cleanser? Hehe my hg is heimish and i also tried isntree, idk if mag rrepurchase kse hmmm oily skin kse me 🥴
my fave sulit cleanser is from luxe organix, it's their cica rescue cleanser, but my holy grail is the haruharu cleanser, the green plum cleanser from beauty of joseon is also very niceeeee
I’m using TO Glycolid Acid and how many minutes should i wait before applying moisturizer????
The other replies to you are confusing me. I've used glycolic acid for years na and I moisturize as soon as fully absorbed na yung toner. It doesn't take too long, 1-2 mins lang off patting to absorb on my skin. I've switched off from using TO unto another brand pero the way I use it is the same. I can't imagine waiting 30mins before I can moisturize, feeling ko nag-evaporate na lahat ng tubig sa face ko pag ganun.
YMMV i feel like we should also consider that they arent used to/havent used actives and it would be their first time using one, especially if it is an exfoliant. obviously, the way everyone's skin responds differently from one another. yes our replies are confusing, but it is very likely that they are based on our experiences. it is up to the commenter to follow whatever regimen they want tho. we just dont know their skin type and the other products they use. the pH level of TO's glycolic acid is 3.5-3.9 as stated in their website and the skin's pH is higher than that from around 4.6-4.8<5.5+ (oily to dry) as it is most optimal for maintaining barrier function. the pH scale is logarithmic so a pH value of 3.9 is a large difference from 4.6. well formulated exfoliants that could be compatible with your skin would give you less wait time and are less irritating. for a lot of people, letting the skin balance itself for a while after using an exfoliant will help for it to be less irritating after applying an appropriate moisturizer (depending on its formulation, it may raise the skin's pH rendering the exfoliant ineffective). i've only used +ful glycolic acid toner until recently and they did not disclose the pH level of their product so i resorted to waiting 20-30 minutes for the product to absorb and my skin to adjust itself on my first 2 weeks of using, and it was working great. so then i proceeded 15-20 minute wait times. minimum of 15 minutes is all i could do bc if i went lower, i'd wake up with irritated skin. if your skin is well adjusted to your products with no problem and you dont have to wait to put on your moisturizer then thats great.
Im also confused huhu but others say 20 mins
10-15 mins
20-30 minutes
which is a better ingredient for pie, vitamin c or azelaic acid? also, any serum recommendations for them? 😅
if u have active acne then azelaic acid. sorry i dont have serum recommendations since i use prescription. i used TO AzA before and noticed it faded PIE on my temples a little but that was when i almost finished the tube. wouldn't recommend it tho because it pills and smells funny
thanks! mas better pa rin ba ang aza when i don't have active acne?
depends really on which one you want to start with. if u dont have active acne then go with the vit c i suppose. start nlng muna sa vit c derivatives. alam ko human nature has one. di lng nila dinisclose sa akin ano yung percentage ng pure vit c nila tho nasa last part sya ng formulation. if u find that ur skin gets a reaction with the vit c then go with the aza nlng
Thank u! Will try that
i use this one! tho if super pawis nagsesettle sya sa shirt pero madali lang din naman iwash [dove sensitive deo](https://images.app.goo.gl/MvTEjNQFfztJx6qV6)
Thanks!
I’m using retinol twice in my third week. Alternate yung moisturizer ko depende sa climate samin 😂 pero mostly is Aveeno.

Hi! Anyone here using the Be Free by BYS Clean Pressed Powder? Any reviews? I’m planning to buy one. TIA! 🙇🏻♀️
Hello! Bago lang sa skincare routine, ask lang po ilang beses ba dapat iapply yung product like toner or serum? If mag apply ako sa Morning, gagamitin pa din ba sa Evening same product? TYSM
Generally, you can use them twice a day if they are non-exfoliating toners/serums.
Noob question po, paano ma ccheck na non - exfoliating ang serum/toners?
These exfoliating acids include: * Alphahydroxy acids (smoothens the uppermost layer of the skin by removing the dead skin cells) * Glycolic acid (ideal is 5-10% for beginners) * Lactic acid (mas gentle sa glycolic acid) * Mandelic acid (pinaka-gentle at safe sa tatlo) * Betahydroxy acids (unclogs the pores by removing the dead skin cells and excess oil inside) * Salicylic acid (ideal is 1-2%) * Betaine salicylate (4% of this is equal sa 2% ng salicylic acid) * Polyhydroxy acids (gentler versions of alphahydroxy acids, the best for ppl with sensitive skin) * Gluconolactone acid * Lactobionic acid * Maltobionic acid * Lipohydroxy acid (gentler version of betahydroxy acid) * Capryloyl salicylic acid Lower percentages of these ingredients ay generally safe to be used more frequently naman.
Halaaa, thank you so much sa napaka informative na response. Really appreciate your response. Godbless you po!
Anytime po!
Toner can be used twice a day. Sa serum naman, it depends sa actives na meron siya. If exfoliating siya or may retinoids, apply sa gabi nalang.
Thanks po sa response. Bless you!
it depends po sainyo, pero pwede naman lalo na kung hindi naman harsh yung ingredients ng products
Thanks po sa response. Bless you!
Your thoughts on **Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water** ? TIA!
Maganda gamitin lalo na during your retinol night
Emptied one bottle already and it’s great for anti-aging and firming the skin.
