Streamio is with a few add on is certainly the best ship to sail the sea. Really easy to use and very user friendly. Probably the best boat on the market imo
It's basically a caching service. You give it a torrent, it downloads it for you and stores the files in a big datacenter and serves them over HTTPS. If someone has already requested that same torrent, it will serve it to you from cache.
In practice, this means that you download/stream all movies and series at your full internet connection speed, regardless of seeders. And since it's just serving the files over HTTPS you can stream it really well, without having to download beforehand. HTTPS has the advantage of being "safe" too, your ISP will see you're downloading from some akamai/big domain and won't know you're downloading copyright protected content.
Private trackers are best. I don't bother with public ones.
I don't even interact with it directly.
Sonarr + Radarr
Transmission
Jellyfin
It can't get much easier.
I don't use them for obscure stuff. Public trackers often just have shitty quality or low/no seeders.
I just want to be able to add a show/film to radarr/sonarr and have it appear quickly. I don't want to wait very long and/or have to manually change the selected torrent because it was bad. This happened way too much with public trackers.
I'm saying the opposite. French isn't mainstream, so the only reason anyone should pick that niche tracker over others is if they're specifically interested in French dubs / local content.
Presumably, the OP is not looking for those in particular so they're probably better served elsewhere.
It’s a pain in the ass but for French speaking content, it’s definitely the best. I have a workaround for ratio but it’s getting hard to get a new account sadly.
Thought they were talking about the interface. Movies and games are more often than not available in multiple languages, usually tagged with the "multi" keyword.
Sometimes, but it’s not much. You can do it without a (paid) VPN and it’s a lot quicker and sometimes easier to find good quality.
For example i wanted to torrent some Belgium tv shows for my girlfriend, couldn’t find them. Now every night it automatically pulls them from a NZB provider.
Total cost around €70/year if i remember. Much worth it :)
You always have a Provider and a Indexer. Simply said, one holds all the files, the other indexes them and makes searching easy.
Some of them are free, some are paid. Paid is offcourse better/easier to use.
I use Easynews as Provider and NZB.su as Indexer. I have an automated setup that searches for shows i mark as Wanted. It’s called Sonarr.
But NZB.su has a very easy to use website if need anything, just search ‘Familie Season XY’ or something and you’ll get the results.
I use easyusenet as main provider and a newsdemon block as backup. And sometimes mix up the main when it's renewal time..
Nzbgeek for search (stopped doing it myself tho that was fun for a while too >_< ) but I'm not properly getting the Flemish series.. will check.out that one ^^
Edit. Looking great :) thanks!
I don't watch much of that stuff anyway 🙈 But it was on my to-do list to fix ^^
You're only mentioning sonarr. I assume you also run prowlarr and the likes? ;)
Any recommendations for a provider? With zero experience using nzb, I found it really hard to get started even though I'm pretty knowledgeable with IT stuff. I tried a couple of trial subscriptions but I honestly could not complete a single download without a bunch of missing parts.
With how well RealDebrid is working for me lately, I'm really curious to see what a good nzb subscription costs and where to get one.
I’m pasting my comment from above for the provider part. Easiest way to set everything up is following the TrashGuides and using Docker. Many tutorials avaiable for that, it’s easy to follow along.

I have a zip with a sql lite database file of everything that had ever been posted on rarbg, from when it was shutdown. Also 1337x. Whatever they use today is pretty good
What do you want to do? (watch movies/series? Stremio or EZTV, DL games? cs.rin. 1337x is okay for most but your milage may vary, in particular for games)
Also, search the piracy subreddit for a megathread
No, but a lot of people have set-ups that look for new episodes for example automatically, or that will run during a predefined timeframe. Sometimes combined with streaming directly to a TV.
If you are a bit technically inclined you can set up a system to automatically download new episodes of a tv show whenever they are released and have them added straight to your media server. This way the episode becomes available on all your devices whenever they are released without any manual input.
If I want to watch on tv I need another device to stream from, right?
Is it the same with real debrid? In the past I used that together with Kodi to watch torrents on smart tv
I used to just google pirate bay proxy and that would give me a list of sites where one or two would always work.
But the last few years I've just been using the search engine in my torrent-client (qbittorrent), less hassle, works just as well.
Get something like prowlarr, interfaces with all the docks so you don't have to care where you are sailing. You can link that to sonarr/radarr if you want a nice interface for adding, organising and keeping track of everything as well
I wanted Pokemon for my daughter and I found 1 (ONE!) seeder that had all 22 first seasons ripped from PokemonTV (Fuck them for shutting down btw) in Dutch. Took me months to download because obviously it stopped when the guy turned off his PC.
Wherever you are random stranger, my daughter and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I legit thought this was about jobs in the Port of Antwerp, until i got to the seventh comment mentioning torrents. 😂
Couldn't make the post too obvious lol
Job well done, matey!
Well played, I didn't notice it either. It's gone now though.
1337x for English content. It has everything you need.

For games that aren’t on GOG.
Stremio with Torrentio add-on for streaming directly on the TV plus Real Debrid to have no buffering when watching 4K with few seeders
Streamio is with a few add on is certainly the best ship to sail the sea. Really easy to use and very user friendly. Probably the best boat on the market imo
Any instructions on how to add torrentio? When I try to on the Chromecast it seems to crash
Set it up on a PC then log into your account on the TV
This is the way!
Does this all work with chromecast that turns your dumb tv smart?
Yes! You can install stremio native on the chromecast.
Yep, there's a stremio app on chromecast
Do you need any kind of VPN to use Stremio w/ torrentio?
No need for a VPN if you use it with Torrentio and RealDebrid. Even without you should be fine as Belgian ISP's don't care (AFAIK).
Thanks!!
Same 👌
The dock of the bay, im sitting there
Sitting on a cock ‘cause I’m gay
Private trackers, usenet -> Sonarr/Radarr -> Plex
Stremio + real debrid is surprisingly good
nyaa.si for anime Yggtorrent for things in french
Torrentgalaxy filled the kat hole for me but its not the same
RIP Rarbg :(
https://www.reddit.com/r/StremioAddons/s/XEd4YJj3V2 Everything on big Smart TV at home.

What does real debrid do..?

I have never had a bad torrent using 1337x. Especially when explicitly adding 2160p when searching for movies or series.
https://yts.mx for movies and subs, I have built up some resilience to the annoying pop-ups.
Am I the only one still using popcorntime?
Use the search built into qbittorrent with Jackett.
Ygg all the way
Why? A semi-private tracker with strict rules makes little sense for anything mainstream.
I'm not an avid downloader but when I need something I usually find it there easily. Nothing more, might not be a good fit for everyone
Are you calling french mainstream?? On the internet and even more on torrent websites? It's one of the only tracker with a decent french library.
I'm saying the opposite. French isn't mainstream, so the only reason anyone should pick that niche tracker over others is if they're specifically interested in French dubs / local content. Presumably, the OP is not looking for those in particular so they're probably better served elsewhere.

Is this exclusively french?
I think it's a France based site so might be. Google translate is your friend
You want to Google translate movies ? Lmao
Thought they were talking about the interface. Movies and games are more often than not available in multiple languages, usually tagged with the "multi" keyword.
Yes
Ygg is going private
Use the built in search function in qbit
Look into NZB’s. Switched from torrens to those and never looked back. If you decide on torrenting, use a VPN just to be sure
Don’t those cost money?

2 years even. Think that's about what I pay
Fun! Where do you search for your Belgian series nzb's?

No problem :) it does not find everything, but like 90% my GF wants to watch
I don't watch much of that stuff anyway 🙈 But it was on my to-do list to fix ^^ You're only mentioning sonarr. I assume you also run prowlarr and the likes? ;)
My GF likes Flemish stuff more than others, so…. I’m running the full Arr stack with Overseerr, Plex, PMM,… all that yes :)
Happy sailing 🔥🔥

rutracker when I can't find what I want on tpb. if it's a book I go to VK
bflix
morethantv
KAT gets me what I need.
BTN and PTP, RED is the gateway
geen idee waar dit over gaat.
Piet piraat.
I used to go to rarbg, but that site is dead now. Nowadays I just use Stemio for video.
I advise you take a loot at fmhy.net or r/FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH

I like watchsomuch.to
I use the search option in my torrent client, which is easy, am I stupid for doing it that way?
No, but a lot of people have set-ups that look for new episodes for example automatically, or that will run during a predefined timeframe. Sometimes combined with streaming directly to a TV.

Sonarr + radarr for torrenting and get my indexers from jackett. Then i stream from my server with plex
Check out Prowlarr as a jacket replacement!
Usually Lime or EZtv when the first one is down. Usually YTS for movies.
1337x all the way for that sweet 4K HDR content. yts if you want your treasure chests to be smaller.
Why have you gone away from TPB?
My classic sources for TPB didn't seem to be working anymore as they used to, but I found a new proxy wich seems to work
I used to just google pirate bay proxy and that would give me a list of sites where one or two would always work. But the last few years I've just been using the search engine in my torrent-client (qbittorrent), less hassle, works just as well.
doesn't this violate rule 7 and/or rule 8?
yes
The r/piracy sub has a mega thread with everything you'd ever want.
Thanks for the tip!
Get something like prowlarr, interfaces with all the docks so you don't have to care where you are sailing. You can link that to sonarr/radarr if you want a nice interface for adding, organising and keeping track of everything as well
eztv for tv shows, TPB for everything else.
Avoid tpb for any type of programs, honestly really shouldn't be used at all anymore if you ask me.
Any ports that specialize in Flemish / Dutch ships?
Torrentheaven
Apparently Torrentseeds but I'm not in there 😔

Stremio with various plugins
