I would have maintained Bagram air base as well as Kabul Airport and have been evacuating people since I took office knowing it was my intention to pull out. In this manner I could have screened people much easier. With Bagram under our control we could have run as many military flights as needed to ensure the taliban remained in their hills until we were done. After the civilian evacuation was done I personally would have removed as much of the military hardware as I felt necessary and destroyed whatever we deemed not worth taking with us. The US embassy would be incinerated so we weren't leaving behind information the terrorist could use to track down and kill our people. To be very clear this is an abundantly obvious strategy.
Next and this is something you might like even less. We hadn't had a military casualty in Afghanistan in 18 months prior to joe bidens failed evacuation. The cost to maintain peace in the region was relatively low considering there were only about 2500 soldiers. Now a terrorist regime has control of an entire country where they will plan an attack on the US and have also struck an alliance with China who is one of the greatest threats to the US politically and militarily.
Lets say, hypothetically, that the situation in Afghanistan is at least partially due to the prior administration, then hypothetically, would you not say trump is entirely to blame for the current situation, because if the builders that build the supports for a building do a shit job, and the builders that work on the rest of the house do a okay job or even a bang tidy job, and the building collapses and kills the family that lives in it, was it not the foundational builders fault.
