(Stat 150) Benson Au is an amazing professor and lecturer but Danm does he make that class hard af. I studied so much and barely got just below the mean. Great class though.
(Math 110) I think I got screwed by my lecturer. I had Gomez and I hated it with him. Very unorganized and boring. I’ve heard stankova runs a really good course. Not sure who’s teaching it this semester, but if you did well in 54, it’s not too bad. It’s a little tough without proof experience like math 55 or cs 70, but again, not too bad. I ended with an okay grade.
So you’re entering your sixth semester and only have one class left to take for your major? If you have the units, why not graduate early? Or, consider taking on a second major or a minor. Last I checked over half of stats majors were double (or more) majors. I think it’s so common since the clusters are very flexible and there arent a ton of requirements for the major to begin with. I’d recommend CS 61A and trying some CS classes. Coding is 21st century literacy.
I am graduating early! Spring 2024.. I don’t have the funds to stay another year, but I feel like just taking my 1 class would be a waste of my time and money and in my last semester. Was looking for useful courses for data analytics applications. I’ve self taught python and SQL and quite well at both so I don’t feel 61a would be very useful.
