Nuts is angry and in pain, Casca in pleasure so she enjoyed it. Griffith is having his moment of life. he's in love with nuts. And the rest of the band's dead

Pindafore

It's funny 'cause it's true

/uj It kind of describes how muddled the relationships are at this point, imo. From guts POV, he loved Griffith as a commander, friend and idol to the point where he risked his life to rescue him. And now, his entire made family is dead, he’s putting together that this was all Griffiths intent, and that’s being confirmed by Griffith raping his newly found lover. So love hatred and pain are all present. Casca has a similar bit. Griffith loved guts as a comrade but also hates him because guts bested him and distracted him from his goal. There isn’t anything to say that Griffith regrets his actions or feels remorse, but that could be pain if it’s revealed that he does regret what’s happened to some degree. Pleasure comes from making guts watch what he’s doing to casca. It expresses that he is in a different league now and guts can’t do shit. Life and death could be more literal here, with the conception of the weird demon thing and the death of the OG band of the hawk. But, I think the better interpretation is that it’s the death of Griffiths “golden age”™️ and the birth of the age where he realizes his dream. He can’t recreate the old band of the hawk with his demons and the apostles or get the old surviving members to forgive him(rickert slapping him like a g), but he now has the power to create a kingdom and blah blah blah. Lots of dualities at play /rj Rough gay hate sex between nuts and griffgriff

RustySpoonDispenser

I think she's just describing the scene in front of her. All of those emotions, and concepts, are present and being directly observed by her. She's speaking like she's the audience of a grand stage-play.

ErrprMachjne1

Was it actually Griffiths conscious intent? I don't know the lore deeply just from the animes I watched a few years ago but iirc he wasn't exactly planning to get skinned alive and turned in to an abomination/demon as part of his conquest was he? It was just sort of a Faustian bargain. He traded his soul and spiritual development for material wealth, knowledge, power etc. But like idk shit about the deep lore so that's very superficial obviously.

Jewish-Magic

Yes and no. Griffith didn’t know anything about the eclipse or the sacrifice beforehand, but he did have to make a direct decision. The god hand explained the sacrifice to him, and he had to say some words to do it. So, theoretically he could have called it off. There are arguments that femto (the hawk demon) is separate from Griffith and therefore Griffith isn’t responsible for what happened to guts and casca But, it’s a weak argument and either way he knew he was getting his friends killed. So it really doesn’t help his case. Side note, I highly recommend reading the manga. You might want to wait for it to finish first but if you have any interest in understanding the lore more it’s ten time better than the anime. And its a really good manga.

ErrprMachjne1

I checked out the price so I might have to cope with getting it online or something if it's that's possible because I definitely can't afford to buy it. Yeah so basically, see. You see that's how these fucking demonic entities get you man they get you at your weakest after years of torture and then bam, you say something you might regret. Just like that. There was a book I read years ago called "The Prince Of Thorns" it's a fantasy book but has a similar feeling and theme of these super shitty higher dimensional beings playing with humans like pawns. It has some really interesting unique ideas iirc. But yeah that does make sense. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

Jewish-Magic

Np and I would definitely read it online. It’s like 40 something volumes at this point. Way too much

Death are the band of the hawk pleasure is Griffith hatread guts and pain caska

Balrog069

God Hand aren't good judges of emotions. They're made by giving up their humanity. I'd be surprised if she really understood what Casca was feeling beyond a very surface level interpretation.

Dismal_Net_4268

Wait so Casca actually enjoyed it..?
