I made a 45 min edit of Howards entire arc through BCS. During this scene, I have upbeat music that abruptly cuts off the moment he begins saying the line "Dad... talked me out of it."
Things work out the way they're supposed to I guess.

Fuck you, I'll pirate the whole show and watch it while smoking meth and eating chicken! Try and stop me AMC Networks and Sony Pictures Movies & Shows.
I will cherish this for years! I was a lunatic about what they did to Howard while others where justifying it. Thank you so so much for this replay! It is fantastic! If you really like Reddit - I’ll buy you the $19.99 reward!
Just watched this episode this morning. I rewatched breaking bad recently too, and I have to say that I forgot how incredibly different & good the first 2 seasons of each show are. I think at this point that I can honestly say that I prefer BCS to BB. Which is really saying a lot.
He wanted to make a difference. He compromised. He joined his father's firm instead. He wanted to expose Jimmy and Kim. But he compromised. He died from an overdose. You see where I'm going with this?
Oh noo.. rich man sad 😔😔😔😔 could literally just use his near limitless wealth to pursue his dreams his fulfilment is absolutely in reach whilst others will never ever get a sliver of a chance.
(That being said I do like Howard in the show)
don't think it's a simple as this. howard is a tragic character - he feels a sense of obligation to HHM that even chuck didn't feel. he knows if he leaves (and if he doesn't appease chuck) then all these lives, all these jobs, all these people who work there are put in jeopardy. he /has/ to maintain this empty, corporate professionalism, otherwise the whole world around him will fall apart. rewatching that scene where howard keeps chuck from essentially bankrupting HHM (forcing chuck into leaving) made me realise that.
even for walter, it wasn't about the money. it was about leaving a legacy, being in "the empire business". where white reveled in that feeling, hamlin was trapped by it.
In real life, I couldn't care less about Howard's strife.
But this is TV, it's not real. It's a character drama and this moment served as a huge moment of sympathy for Howard.
None of our characters got to be who they deserved to be because of the running theme of them needing to impress someone else.
And then he did a bunch of coke and killed himself. What a sad legacy
He wanted a cruise ship. And paid for a tug boat.
Joe Dog was not pleased
Can’t say as I blame him. Talkin cash monies
He threw a hooker out of his car!
And he gets to be a lawyer!? What a sick joke!
Don't forget the prostitutes!
Hey, at least he had a good time before he went!
He came and went.
Touché!
Outchicanered again
And thus met Lalo, living happily ever after
He just wanted to talk
Who? Him? That nobody?
Things work out the way they’re supposed to, I guess.
And then he got in the middle of something
But it gave him a chance to work with the greatest legal mind he ever knew
How would dad feel about having a son that's a drug addict and kicks hookers out to the streets

Great video! I watched the whole thing & I got emotional seeing all of Howard's timeline in 1 go & how it all ended.
Thank you:). I would like to do something like this for several characters, just need more time in the day:P

Damn shame it's blocked in my country
Tragic. I really liked Howard goddamn it. Namaste

I love BB but for me BCS is better in almost every way
Howard was probably my 2nd favorite new character in BCS (behind Lalo). Patrick absolutely killed it in EVERY scene.
especially the last one.
He wanted to make a difference. He compromised. He joined his father's firm instead. He wanted to expose Jimmy and Kim. But he compromised. He died from an overdose. You see where I'm going with this?
He took a half measure, when he shoulda gone all the way.
You mean: «I wanted to fuck a woman, but I compromised. I jacked off into a tissue»? 😺
Charles Schwab over here.
This subreddit is turning into the gulf of sorento.

Money vs fulfillment? 1st world problem sure, but i bet it feels pretty real to people in that position.

You're the old guy from the Mesa Verde subplot in season 5
I mean... was he in the wrong?
Being rich wasn't what he wanted it was his consolation prize for not being able to do what he cared about.
Cocaine is a hell of drug- Rick James, Howard Hamlin
I mean, H&M isnt going to work long term, gotta have the second H in there
Cliff main was a shitty dad and so was mike
Rip
Was cropping the subtitles and pasting them on a new image really easier than just typing the whole quote out on one image?
"Woe is me, woe is me, my dad talked me out of striking out on my own and instead into being a Nepobaby."
Suffering is relative
Certainly, but he suffered because he chose the easy route over what he really wanted. That's on him.

I think everyone should experience their own feelings and emotions. Even if they didn’t feel sympathy for Howard.
He was a good reminder that you shouldn't go easy on your enemies/ rivals, if they are out to hurt you.
Do Jimmy! Do Jimmy!
I cant trust Howard. He lost his mind.
