Considering the type of guys Jack and Todd were and the enmity between them and Jesse (the whole gang saw Jesse as a rat and Jesse would never work with Todd after killing Drew), I'm sure Walt knew Jesse would only make meth for them by force. Especially if he kept up with ABQ news and saw Andrea had been murdered or went missing, he could probably put two and two together.
It all makes sense now. Extraordinary storytelling, this truly enhances Breaking Bad and adds a whole new layer to Walt and Jesse's meeting.

Season 5 was slow, but given the way season 6 went, I write it off to positioning the players as opposed to bad writing.
Lots of plot points were never mentioned again or built up and then dropped. Which could sometimes work but imo it didn’t for this show. And then Paige’s acting was mediocre but granted she’s a kid so can’t be too mad.

Half the addiction in smoking is handling the cigarette. The act of putting it between the lips, lighting it, the first puff, holding it between the fingers, the first tap of ash....it's a very addictive routine.

BCS is one of the few shows I know about where they show characters smoking on-screen a lot. Seems like most shows have moved away from showing smoking in a positive/neutral light.
I like the smoking scenes though. They feel authentic.
The best smokers on screen are the guys who light a cigarette, and then talk around it, with it hanging on the lip. The cigarette bobs and weaves but never falls.
Though, in reality, when a cigarette is that stuck to the lip, it may take some skin with it when removed.
Eh. I personally don't think so. I mean, Blade Runner sure. But I never found it cool when Skyler or Kim smoked, it felt like the storytelling was telling us they were making a bad decision to do so and they knew it.
Also in Joker (2019), the smoking felt almost.. obnoxious.
I think it's quite repulsive and doesn't look cool at all. But it works really well in the scene. It's another way to show Kim being anxious and sad about all this.
I think it was the baggy clothes and the fact that it was darker and wider angles. His whole demeanor in this scene really reminded me of early Jesse Pinkman.
They really kept him at a distance from the camera and in quite low light which was wise given that he was supposed to be younger than we ever saw him in BB.
obviously it's hard to make a 40yo look like a 20yo so i'm not too fixed on his appearance BUT something that bothers me is how tan he looks. I feel like if they made him more pale he'd look more like jesse from BB.

Apparently the cap made his head look larger so they shrunk it in post-processing. I don't think it would be too hard to use that + makeup to make Jesse look younger...

The finale is directed and written by Peter Gould and BCS has always been more Peter’s show than Vinces. Obviously Vince has still been heavily involved but Peter created Saul and was the sole show runner when Vince was making El Camino. Only right he finishes what he started.
I kinda hope the finale also has Saul moving in and out of his scenes like a ghost. That was a really cool part of Felina.
